Friendly environment. Reasonable prices. Perhaps a greater variety of menu selections would get at least three more visits out of me. However, I ordered the shrimp po'-boy and wanted more fries! I must say, although colorful, it was "odd" to have a salad in my po'boy. Two of us tried it out for lunch. We were the only 2 in the restaurant and it took 50 minutes to get 2 tacos and a po-boy. People after us received their food before us and was told our order "had a lot of food". Was also told they "had alot of orders" which is true, after us but not before us. Having recently moved to the area, we were very excited to try this place as the food looks delicious. However, mistake or not, someone behind the kitchen line, not sure if it was a cook, the chef, or a line cook, but the person calling out orders behind the kitchen was NOT wearing a face mask. How can an establishment claim to abide by Covid rules when it only takes one person to transmit the Covid 19 virus. This was my first visit to Georgia's Catfish Kitchen today. It's somewhat small inside but nice and clean. I asked a woman waiting for her order what she thought of the food. She told me that she was there after a family member recently brought her some food from the restaurant. It was sooo good she had to come and get some more herself. I found the owner to be very friendly snd willing to allow you to taste the gumbo. It had just the right amount of spice in it without being too spicy. Some folks from LA also thought it was very good. It came with rice,sausage, shrimp and chicken. I think i would have preferred to put it over rice myself. I ordered a shrimp and.catfish basket. Each basket came.with 2 sides and were reasonably priced. All of the sides I ordered: jambalaya with sausage and chicken, the onion rings, and salads were fresh and did not disappoint. Waited 1.5 hours for the food....only one other table of customers in the restaurant. We were told they were behind because it was just one person working and were told 20-30 mins.....at least the food was fresh and hot but: nothing special about it. Lack of seasoning in the fish and shrimp. Red beans and rice seamed old and didn't taste very good so we didn't eat it. Not sure how this place has gotten good reviews! Maybe we just went on a bad day? I will never know because we will not return to this establishment with so many other better options within driving distance. read more

I must compliment the staff on being courteous and welcoming I met the owner who was very nice. Now to the food... the first thing I will note is that the portions are kinda slim. The food was freshly made and the presentation was nice. I ordered the 2fish 2oyster combo 9.99 which came with 2 sides and a drink 1.99. I chose onion rings and hush puppies. I received I fish fillet and a half. The second piece was literally a catfish nugget. They gave me two extra oysters which I appreciated because they were so small I thought they were cut in half before going into the fryer. The 4 onion rings I received were bland to say the least. I mentioned that I only received 4 he (the owner) replied that they usually give 5. I almost laughed out loud, like seriously are onions that expensive that were counting rings. My fish needed salt but don't get me wrong all facts considered it wasn't terrible, just needed a little seasoning. I will note that I paid a 47 cent service fee for dining in or at least that's what my second receipt said. read more

Stopped by to check them out yesterday and was extremely impressed with the food. I ordered the shrimp dinner and the catfish & shrimp dinner. The shrimp were large and perfectly seasoned, easily some of the best I've tasted. I don't normally eat catfish, but this was hands down the best I've ever had. Good quality seafood at a reasonable price. If you're looking for a decent seafood option I'd definitely recommend trying this place. The menu is very limited (fried and grilled shrimp/catfish options only....and gumbo) but for what options they do have, they do well. The batter on the fried items is good, well seasoned, a bit thicker than I normally care for, but that's a minor gripe for me. The gumbo is delicious, as are their homemade sides. I'd like to see the menu expand a bit, add something like an Étouffée dish, or at least some fried oysters.. though staff did mention they do serve crawfish while in season... so that's a start. The Humble area is kind of starved for good (and reasonably priced) seafood... if your looking for a good bite to eat and are in the mood for some southern/Cajun style seafood, id check them out. read more
