Got 4 hush puppies as a side dish. Never was to told there would be a wait, young guy (cashier) was insensitive when I complained stating waiting that long was unacceptable. Another couple got their food, ate and was eating dessert while we were waiting for our takeout order. I gave one star because food was hot but it should have been. Also they pass using your cc/ debit card fee onto the customer but my problem is state that , it wasn't displayed anywhere in the restaurant or near the cash register. I will not be back. Today was the worst service ever. Ordered 3 dinners that took over 45 minutes to prepare. Watch 8 customers order and leave while I'm left waiting. They didn't offer anything to compensate. The cashier then tried to give me soda andthey offer a 8 oz gumbo. Don't waste your time here. The cashier didn't mask up and never washed her hands after going outside on the phone and then back to the kitchen gather orders. I watched the owner leave but without supervision the staff is going to get this place shutdown. I've only tried the shrimp and I love it. Seasoned well, fried perfectly with a tartar sauce that was very nice compliment to the shrimp. The fries were well seasoned but not over salted. On my 1st visit last week I had a chance to meet the owner Mr. Scott and he was very pleasant and conversational. I ate in the parking lot and ran back into the lobby to tell him how good his food is. Yum. Was craving catfish, and this place was so tasty! I had a combo catfish/oyster plate with green beans and coleslaw. I don't eat pork so I was happy they had side dishes without it. The green beans, coleslaw, onion rings and fries are pork free. Only the dirty rice and jambalaya have pig. As others have said they serve FRESH green beans, and they are al dente, not mushy. They are wonderfully seasoned. The coleslaw does not have tons of mayo, a good thing. I added a little of their on point remoulade to coleslaw so it was extra creamy. Short & sweet; the catfish is excellent. It's tender and light and coated correctly with cajun seasoning. The red beans and rice are great; and I'm a connoisseur of of this food! The Jambalaya is good, but needs some shrimp and crawfish, which is the way many "mom & pop" restaurants make it in the bayou's of Louisiana. I would have giving 5 stars, but I haven't tried the gumbo, which I'm also a connoisseur.
