Since I was told it was too late, I decided to keep the dress. My appointment was on Sunday, September 30th, and my wedding is not until October 3, 2025.I was told I would get my dress in July 2025. Eventually, I concluded that I truly did not want the dress. I called the boutique again and was told that it was almost closing time and no one was available to speak with me at that moment. I was assured that someone would get back to me the following day. However, I never received a call back, so I reached out to them again to ask for an update. I was informed that they had been busy with other customers and would call me by the end of the day. I felt like I wasn't treated as a priority. Then, I was told that the designer would not be back until Monday, and they would have to contact me after that. Three days went by without any communication, so I called again. This time, I was told they had called me and left a voicemail, but I did not have any missed calls or voicemails. I was informed that it was too late to cancel the dress due to it being in production. Now, I find myself without a dress and $1,400 out of pocket. The owner mentioned that I had signed the receipt, which stated that there were no refunds or exchanges. I was told by other bridal shops that the production of the dress could be stopped since my wedding is so far out and I would need to pay a restocking fee. I would have been fine with this but nothing was offered.

I don't even know how to begin to describe how wonderful my experience was at Georgios. I want to start off by saying that I was super anxious about finding a wedding dress. I often feel uncomfortable wearing things that are overly feminine. I have been having lots of mixed feelings about dressing for a day where I am expected to/and want to look my most beautiful. I did a lot of looking online and on pinterest, and realized I was drawn to the more bohemian styles, but still worried if I would find one that works for me. I am also very budget-conscious and felt weird about spending so much money for a dress. My sister was in town for a few days to help me, and we both thought that for sure it would take me a really long time, and would be really stressful to find the right dress. I think we were both kinda dreading it. Georgios was our first appointment at a bridal store, the first stop on our wedding dress shopping journey, and we thought it was going to be a looooong journey. Then I walked in the door this past Friday and everything changed. The store immediately put me at ease. It is a lovely space, but it is chill. It is not over-the-top girly frilly shopping extravaganza. Instead, it is sweet, inviting, and displayed the dresses such that you could see each one but it didn't feel overwhelming. The dresses all were amazing. If you are looking for a bohemian or vintage dress, this is the place. The appointment started with our consultant, Tonya, asking me a few need to know questions (wedding date, venue and budget) and to walk around the store and pick out the dresses I was drawn to. Once we were in the dressing room, she told me which were in my price range and put them in an order to try on that totally made sense. She grouped together similar dresses, with the ones outside of my budget at the end. The first few dresses were amazing with great vintage flair... then I tried on what I think was the 5th dress. I walked out of the dressing room to show my Mom and sis and that moment happened. My sis and I both started crying happy tears. It was "the one." I felt so beautiful and glowing, and still totally me. I wasn't wearing the costume of a bride, or playing dress up - I was wearing a dress that felt like me. I didn't know I would be able to find a dress that did that, but I did! We ended up going to the a few other appointments we had made at other bridal salons in and around Waco, I am not sure why - I guess I am just a thorough person and felt compelled to follow through with the appointments I had made. But none of the other stores or the other dresses even came close to being as perfect as Georgios and the dress I had found there. I called a few days later and asked if I could come in just to try on the dress again. They were totally great about it and helped me a second time, let me hang out a bit just oohing and aahing at the dress before I bought it. And let me say the dress feels worth every penny. I feel like it is a really beautiful work of art and I am so excited to get to wear it, and to support such an awesome little boutique that turned what I thought was going to be a kinda awful experience into a dream-come-true. I also want to note how adorable and awesome our consultant, Tonya was. She had great style herself, and a totally chill and awesome vibe. She felt like a friend; not at all like a pushy sales person. Both Tonya and the owner of the store handled my overbearing and super-talkative Mom with such grace. Thank you! This may sound dramatic, but my experience here and finding my dress made me feel so much more excited about the wedding overall. I have major nerves about being the center of attention, and knowing that I will be wearing a dress that I feel so beautiful and so myself in makes me feel so much more ready and excited for it all. I had a VERY clear vision of what I wanted my dress & veil to look like. After trying on dresses at a few other bridal salons, my sister, mom & went to Georgio's. We are all about supporting local businesses (!!) so we made an appointment. I told Tawnya what I was looking for (specific designor and style) and was firm about it. I told her I was already pressured by other salons that told me my "look" was hard to find and to settle with something else. Tawnya and I clicked IMMEDIATELY. She brought me 6 dresses and the 4th dress I tried on I was in love. I told her right then and there, I LOVE THIS DRESS. THIS IS MY DRESS. I WANT IT NOW!! I did not leave that day with the gown (I felt it was too early to purchase it) but I promised her I would not go anywhere else. Flash forward a few months later and I call her up and she remembered me!! (Customer service!!) and she told me IT WAS TIME TO ORDER THE DRESS!!! Best day ever. Christie, their in house seamstress, is the best. She is honest in what looks good and is flattering for YOUR body type. You got curves, she will tell you to show it off! You want to hide something, she will tell you you are beautiful but if you want to hidden she will hide it! I had a second dress and Christie was able to alter that dress for me in a lickety split!! I also had a MAJOR veil issue aka I could not find the style of veil I wanted and TAWNYA. My bridal dream come true, found me MORE THAN ONE VEIL in the juiet cap style I was searching for. I die. Where else do you get service like this!? NO WHERE!!!! if you want an intimite experience with people that actually KNOW your name (and likes/dislikes) and not just how much you paid for a dress then come here. You are not a walking dollar sign here. Tawnya is VERY knowledgeable and has years of experience in the bridal market so she knows what's up! The store us beautiful, clean and organized. I wish I could get married again just to see Tawnya and the whole team at Georgio's. I cannot thank them enough for making my wedding day PERFECT & STRESS FREE. read more

I'm not sure why the other 2 reviews below me are saying the staff is rude because I thought they were the nicest people! I first came into Georgio's when I was 7 months pregnant and I was so self conscious. I found my dream dress and the employees were able to clip my dress back so I could see what it would look like without my pregnant belly. I came back after I had my daughter to try it on and I didn't want to take my dress off! They let me stand there as long as I wanted while wearing my dress. I came back again with my mom and grandmother on a Saturday and completely forgot to make an appointment! Instead of telling me to come back another time, they found a place for me to try my dress on to show my family. They also helped me find a veil and other accessories between their scheduled appointments. I went in for my fitting a week before my bridal portraits and they were able to get me fitted, alter my dress, and clean it in less than a week! The stress of planning a wedding is awful but these ladies made the dress fun and stress free! Like I said, they were the NICEST people and made me feel so pretty (even with a 7 month pregnant belly)! Their selection of dresses are also out of this world! My daughter is getting married in May, 2017. Although we live in a Dallas suburb, my daughter wanted her grandmother from Temple to participate in the dress selection so she chose Georgio's in Waco on the recommendation of a friend. Best decision she could have made! She called and made a noon appointment on Saturday, 9/10. We arrived a bit early with a large party - mother and father of the bride, grandmother of the bride, mother of the groom, the groom's sister, and a wonderful friend of both families. Our consultant, Tawnya, was outstanding. She has the perfect combination of personality and professionalism for this job. She reached out to the bride a few days in advance of the appointment to talk about ideas and desires. When we arrived for our appointment, she visited with the bride some more and asked about the dress budget. She had a process that helped the bride find the perfect dress. The bride tried on about six dresses, some just for shape, and was able to narrow it down to two. The the bride actually liked one of Tawnya's suggestions more than the "vision" she had prior to the appointment. Tawnya's suggestion quickly became THE dress that the bride LOVED! We were done in two hours with THE dress and well under our budget! The bride could not be more pleased. read more

I am the Mother of the bride and was with the concerned step mom L on Saturday November 7th, for an appointment for a bridal fitting!!! I would like to rate Georgio's a five star because there is not enough stars to rightly rate them!!! Belva and her staff are the most professional, phenomenal, kind and helpful staff I've seen, and their service is unmatched!!! They pride themselves on exceptional customer service and the quality and caliber of their gowns is like none other!!! What the couple of people in the group failed to understand is that the owner Belva has contracts with these designers and there is rules and regulations that have to be upheld to carry their merchandise like taking photos, I totally understand and respect that! They abide by regulations so they (Georgio's Bridal) can keep their superior position as a number one boutique in Bridal fittings and selections!!! I don't usually write reviews, but I was so proven wrong in my assumption of this place that I felt the need to write one. Having grown up in the area and known several people who had bought their dress here, I was expecting the rushed wedding factory kind of vibe. I went to several shops before going to Georgio's (all in one weekend), and I can honestly say this was by far the best experience I had. It helped that I had tried on other dresses and knew roughly was I was looking for silhouette-wise, but they were just so professional about everything... I had Tawnya as my consultant... I cannot begin to describe how awesome she was. Everything I asked for and only showed me dresses within my modest budget. They had some dresses I did not see anywhere else! I love the stages and the big mirrors they have in the showroom! When I got to a point when I was waffling between 2 dresses, Tawnya patiently had me try both back on a few times until I was ready to make a decision - well into 40 minutes past the end of my appointment. I purchased my wedding dress in Houston (where I am from) and also had my alterations done there. Although I loved my dress, the alterations were absolutely horrendous! I literally cried for my first two fittings. As I live in the Belton area I searched for a place to fix my dress and I had heard many great things about Georgio's, so I figured I'd given them a shot. They were terrific!!!! Everyone was very friendly and the alterations (which they fixed from the previous place) turned out better than I could ever expect! I now had a bustle that held up and looked gorgeous. And the best part is they fixed my dress very quickly when I was in a total time crunch. I wish I had started with Georgio's to begin with as I would have saved myself not only a lot of money, time and travel but also headaches and tears which a girl doesn't need any extra of right around her wedding! Y'all, this place is THE. BEST. The customer service is absolutely incredible! And the dresses are great! Literally the perfect one-stop-shop for dress, accessories, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dresses, AND men's attire!! I was very overwhelmed walking in, and my consultant was just so kind, welcoming, and encouraging! I thought wedding planning was going to be a hassle and Georgio's made it SUCH A BREEZE! I live in Europe and had only one day to try on my tux flying into Austin before a wedding...and Cheri - warehouse manager shipped my tux OVERNIGHT and had it show up at my hotel when I arrived. AMAZING service. I was anxious about it and called back too many times to count...and Cheri was as pleasant on the last call as the first. The suit fit perfectly and it was a beautiful wedding. By far the best experience I've ever had!! I didn't have an appointment, was really worried about not being able to try on dresses and having to buy off the rack.. Georgio's took me under their wing, showed me so many beautiful plus sized wedding dresses, helped me try them on and ever had me in tears!!! I brought a dress to them for an alternation for the length. They called me about a week later…read morelater telling me it was done. I went to get the dress, tried it on and it was exactly the same as when I brought it to them. They measured the dress again and repined it again. A few days later I get a phone call from them asking me what are they supposed to do with the dress??? Even though they had a note pinned to the dress with that information, along with my phone number. I told them once again. When I went to pick up the dress, it was finally done right but I think they charged way too much just for a simple alteration. I will NOT be going back to them for these 2 reasons.

We followed all instructions/directions, stayed extra late to make sure everything was clean and was still denied our deposit back, the excuse that was given was that the AC was turned down low and ran that way all night, we followed the AC instructions that they had provided and put it at summer setting. Ridiculous excuse if you want to keep the deposit just say so! Would not recommend to anyone!

Prices are very reasonable and I love supporting the revitalization of downtown.
