For that reason, the last couple of years, I've decided to have all my bike service needs met at Woodinville Bicycle. The front staff are knowledgeable and friendly as are the mechanics. Mike recently service two of my bikes and the results were exceptional and the turn-around time was less than 24 hours after being promised a turn-around time of 48 hours. I own two BMC Roadmachine bikes and expect to have them serviced at Woodinville Bicycle, a BMC Retailer, for the foreseeable future.

They noticed a cracked spacer on my handlebar stem because a previous bike technician overtorqued the spacer. I will need to replace it. Looking back at photos of my trip, I can see that the spacer was cracked. I live in downtown Seattle. Element Cycles is now my "go to" bike shop and only a short walk from the Redmond Light Rail. But the youngster who worked on the bike scarred the back fender, so the bike isn't mint any more, with a 1 by .5" scrape. He was very apologetic about it but geesh. The store gave me a $75 discount off the work and offered to take it to their paint shop, but I think I'll do the work. The bike is back in fine running order, but I don't think I'll be going back. There was a little girl and her dad buying a brand new Trek and although they remembered the water bottle, the salesperson did not recommend a lock. WTH?

He recommended as an alternative a Trek Dual Sport 2 Gen 5 bike that was on sale. Took the bike out for a test ride. What a big difference.
