CAUTION! Ask for pricing before you get anything done here. I ended up with a $590 bill from this place for removing 2 small lesions. Also, was not given the option to opt out of sending the lesions to pathology which was $240 alone. I get it, it's for my own protection but I should have an option to chose how I proceed with my healthcare. Luckily my insurance paid for about half of the bill but I do believe they could have communicated before procedures were done. I told this to them, but all they could say was pretty much "oh well". Overall, the doctor and other staff I interacted with were nice but it was all very rushed - I was literally in there no more than 15 min- and I ended up with an ugly scar on my hand after the lesion removal, maybe due to lack of attention...? They did offer for me to go back and see if Dr can do anything with scar and when I did, the billed my insurance another $70 for injecting a scar solution into the scar they left me with! The other options he gave me were: 1. Laser the scar (but I can only imagine how much that would be). 2. Go somewhere else so they can surgically remove the whole scar (should have just told me to go somewhere else from the beginning and save the money I paid him!). I feel the Dr could have done a better job of explaining potential negative outcomes of removing the lesion instead of trying to rush me out, if he would have told me how I could wind up, I would have opted out or looked for a better alternative now I'm stuck with this on my ring hand! read more

Barbie works wonders. Hadn't been in for a laser hair removal session in about 3 years (I have hormone problems and finally had some facial hair sprout up again after my first sessions years ago). Barbie always has a kind attitude, is very patient, and keeps me well informed. Always a pleasure having her burn my face. Jokes aside, she is gentle, will ask you to let her know if the pain is too much, and even gives you a therapy stuffed animal for you to hug in case the pain gets a little high. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nat yet but I'm sure he does fine work. For reference, Barbara Stowe is the doctor that made me look less like wolverine and along with the hair removal, I've got really nice skin since my sessions began which (I kid you not) has people constantly asking what my skincare routine is. I will say I'm unsure of the prices because this is the only place I've gone for laser removal but for a full face laser hair removal session it's $200. While I'd like to say the treatment the doctor gave me worked and was useful, the customer service is horrible. I felt rushed and I couldn't even get a question in because he kept cutting me off and then just ended the appointment. For instance he keeps telling me that it's mainly because I have to wear a mask that I have acne... but I work from home and never wear a mask! This was my first visit at this office...right of the top, let me start off by saying the receptionist was so rude. She was an older lady, who had zero customer service skills. I was already thinking of not returning based off her attitude alone. When I called to make an appointment weeks before, I let them know my sons situation and they took my information and my debit card information to secure the appointment. After waiting, the receptionist called me informing me they do not take my insurance, she instructed me that I would have to go to his primary first (and I stated that I did), she then said he would need an authorization (again I informed here that there was an authorization). I don't recall who I spoke to when I called but I think they should have informed me then about the insurance. I don't think they should take a new patients credit card without knowing if they would be accepted. I called off work and drove form Burbank for this appointment and it was more disappointing to have been treated the way I was then for them to not have taken the time to run my insurance. read more

The review of my experience with Dr. Nat is based on the lack of interest I felt with my visit. I went to Dr. Nat for two reasons. First, I visited him various times over an issue I had in the palm of my hand. It looks similar to psoriasis but it really started with an insect bite. He claimed its eczema. As much as I tried explaining it to Dr. Nat that I felt when I got bit and saw the sting he just gave me a cream that did nothing on my skin. More than anything I felt ignored, debased. I understand doctors are not perfect but I guess my issue with him is the fact that he didn't really care about my issue, just diagnosed and left. My second issue was some adult acne that was starting. He gave me some medication that definitely worked but the side effects were serious. It gave me some serious anxiety and heart palpitations that sent me to the hospital. I had to stop the medication right away. I never went back after my experience, although occasionally I get calls from the doctors office asking me if I would like to set up an appointment. read more

He is a great doctor, and I have had fatty tumors removed by him as well. He is caring, and does his job well. I give Dr. Nat and his nurse, Barbara, and the rest of the office staff 5 stars (plus 100, if I could). I feel extremely comfortable referring anyone I know to them. I have seen Dr. Nat for a few years and have had 3 dermatological problems that he addressed quickly & easily. Rosacea, underarm rash, and skin checks for cancer.I also use them for cosmetic dermatology. I have received Botox injections from Dr. Nat and am getting laser treatments from Barbara for the fine lines and rosacea. Dr. Nat & Barbara are very knowledgeable and experienced. This shows with the diagnoses & treatments I have rec'd from them. I have never had any problems or discomfort when getting treated by them. Dr. Nat & his staff are very professional. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes to get in when I have been there for an appointment. That is damn good, I WISH I could say that for other doctors I see. I don't understand the bad reviews, perhaps they caught them at a bad moment or the patient was having a bad day. No one is perfect all of the time!! I will also say that Dr. Nat has a good sense of humor - don't know if he lets everyone in on that. He is quick & funny. I think he is pretty quick in general- he doesn't waste time. Dr Nat seriously saved me and my confidence!! My hair started falling out in large patches, quickly and dramatically. Being in my late 20s I couldn't understand what was happening. I felt horrified, scared, and so embarrassed. After doing lots of research I realized I had Alopecia which was becoming more severe. I called so many drs no one could see me for weeks and I was freaking out. I finally learned dermatologist can be the solution. I reached out to Dr Nat via yelp and they responded quickly. They knew the urgency I needed to be seen and got me in right away. I ended up getting steroid shots in the bald spots and applied cream every night and my hair began to grow back!! Last year I had gone to dermatologist to have a spot on my shoulder looked at. After having a horrifying experience with that dermatologist, I sought out Dr. Nat through a recommendation. the minute he walked in the door I felt comfortable. I've always had an insecurity about my skin since I was a teenager. Give mediately made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed. Since I was doing a full body check you can imagine that that would be kind of a horrifying experience. But he was kind and gentle and at no point did I feel embarrassed. after taking a look at the three spots that the other dermatologist had cut out, he said that the one on my shoulder was healing but took a look at other spots and froze them off. He said he would have never cut out the ones on my face but rather have Frozen them off. Sadly because the other dermatologist cut them out I am now scarred on my face. I returned two weeks later to see doctor Nat or the spot on my shoulder because it appeared that there was regrowth after 2 weeks. He went in and did another biopsy to remove the other spot. sadly it came back with a pre melanoma State. Thanks to dr. Nat we caught it before it turned into melanoma. since then I've gone back to him and he's removed a lot of my precancerous little spots and my face is looking a lot younger. I will be returning back to him to do some other procedures. he's the first dermatologist that I have ever felt comfortable with. I highly recommend him. read more

I'm giving this practice 2 stars b/c the support staff seem to have their act together. The receptionists and nurse were very pleasant and helpful. I'm going to try to be really fair in this review simply b/c I don't believe in slamming people on Yelp as retribution for a negative experience. That being said, I'm still only giving Dr. Nat 2 stars. First and foremost, whether Dr. Nat does a good job actually treating skin is irrelevant to me b/c I have only seen him once and I have no results on which to base my opinion in that regard. I can only comment on his bedside manner and the way in which he addressed my other concerns. I made an appt w/Dr. Nat b/c I'm experiencing dramatic hair loss from my scalp. I've already explored most avenues and have narrowed the cause down to stress, but wanted a professional to examine my scalp and make sure my hair follicles weren't completely arrested. Being a medical professional myself, I have my own ideas about how a patient should be addressed/treated, especially one who has made it evident that they aren't just ANY patient (those of you in similar situations would understand). Before even seeing Dr. Nat I waited 45 minutes for my appt (totally understandable as they were switching to a new electronic system), and then once I was in the room with him, he spent NO MORE than 5 minutes with me. When I expressed my main concern was hair loss, he flipped my hair around to look at my scalp and loosely exclaimed that my scalp and hair follicles looked healthy and to just "try not to worry about it - you won't go bald". UM, excuse me? You're not even going to look at the roots of the hair falling out to see WHICH stage my follicles are in? And as far as I'm concerned, you can't see hair follicles with the naked eye! My guess is his strength is NOT in hair loss and he didn't know what else to do. If hair loss isn't your forte, for the love of God just state it and send me to someone who can help me. Aside from not taking my hair loss seriously, I get the feeling that he didn't read my chart upon entering my exam either. He didn't seem aware of the medication that I was taking. This worries me, b/c I read my patient's history EVERY time I go into an exam. When it came to my acne issues, he just explained what the treatment was going to be and sent his nurse in to work with me on treatment plans. Which was actually helpful. The nurse was great. All in all, I would NOT recommend Dr. Nat. I didn't feel like he regarding me as an individual in any sense of the word. I felt pigeon-holed. Like I mentioned before, I'm a medical professional myself and in MY field, bedside manner and client communication is PARAMOUNT. I came to Dr Nat after being misdiagnosed by a different dermatologist. While most of my visits were no longer than 20 minutes, I never felt rushed and he was happy to answer any and all questions I had. The front staff desk was nice but his assistant was amazing! She remembered me and my situation even after 3 months of not seeing her. In the end my skin condition (pseudo lymphoma) was taken care of. It is the nurse I have an issue with. She's apparently is in charge of the patients insurances and the prescription pharmaceutical process. I had issues with the pharmacy and they had to get pre-approved from the doctor. When I called the office to explain to them what was going on. The lady at the front desk transfer me to a person who was in charge of insurances and billing. I did not catch your name since you didn't give it to me. She was very rude and disrespectful and loud and kept on yelling at me for no apparent reason. I asked her if she could please come down and not yell at me over the phone. She claimed she wasn't yelling yet the more I told her to come down the louder she got. I tried to explain to her that whenever this one issue with the pharmacy a pharmacy wants to make sure the doctor pre-approved any changes. And which she stated has been approved as been approved yelling at me several times asked if I was bothering her in some manner by telling her to do her job. I have a follow-up a month from now appointment to be honest I think I'm going to cancel before they try to charge me any additional charges. OMGEEE I totally screwed myself up trying to tie a skin tag on my neck (( FYI DO NOT EVER DO THAT I LEARNED THE HARD WAY )) but i wound up in the ER and they told me to see a derma dr thats when i found Dr Nat I really didnt think that i was going to get an appointment BUT the wonderful helpful ladies at the front desk fit me in right away !!! SHOCKED !!! Dr Nat totally took care of me super fast took both of the tags that were giving me problems and he treated me for the contact dermatitis that i totally gave myself ... He and his staff from the front desk to the tech were WONDERFUL I really think that this was a blessing in disguise because I totally needed a new derma dr anyways since i have sooo many skin issues !! I switched to Dr. Nat from another local dermatoligist because I needed a doctor who would check my body as well as my face. I got exactly what I wanted with Dr. Nat. The office staff are all very friendly and efficient. There is hardly ever a time when you are not seen at exactly your appointment time.
