I recently dropped my car off at this Gerber location on March 13, 2024 after being side-swiped in a hit-and-run on February 29, 2024. The receptionist lady was super friendly and the staff who were sitting at their desks also appeared so. Prior to coming here, I did an online quote which was a smooth process. I later decided on an estimate/drop-off thanks to the great work of my insurance company American Family. This was one of their gold star recommended shops. I was told it would take about 2-3 weeks. After waiting for 3 months at Curry Honda and having picked up my vehicle the first week of February, I didn't want to go through that again. Casey and Grant were both helpful throughout the process - with Casey being very communicative. There were suspension issues so he took it to a mechanic also on Cheshire Bridge Rd that he has worked with for many years. My wife's car was rear ended severely and The car was clearly totaled. When Gerber got The car they called me and insisted I come by and do a walk around to point out damage. I told The girl I was out of town and that every body part On The car was damaged because it was driven into The car in Front and that I thought it was their job to write up The damages. She Insisted I come by. I cut my trip short and stopped by The REPAIR shop. After arriving a girl asked if I was ready to do The walk around. We walked outside and she didn't even bring a tablet and paper. When we got to The car she said clearly it totaled. I asked Why I was Made to stop by and she said she didn't. know. I took my 2020 vehicle to Geber on Cheshire Bridge Rd to repair my bumper after a minor fender bender since they were given to me by the other driver's insurance company. What was supposed to be a 3-4 day repair turned into 9 days. They delivered the vehicle to me with a chip in the paint of the freshly painted bumper along with a cover cap missing. They insisted the part was correct. After viewing other vehicle at the dealership, it was evident a piece was in fact missing. When confronted with the photos, they conceded and agreed to fix both issues. I was told it would be a same day repair. That same day repair turned into two full days. When I picked up my vehicle, there was a white haze all over left side of the bumper. I also noticed several nicks in two different prices. I sent it back to them 3 times the same day before I finally gave up and left. QC seems to be foreign term to them. I never received a call from the general manager nor has he called Travelers back to discuss my complaints. A manager at Travelers gave the the dealership's collision center approval to proceed anyway. Gerber actually glued broken pieces back together and used those instead of ordering new replacement parts. That is completely unacceptable for a any vehicle let alone a brand new 2020. If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would. I recently had an issue with the bumper. I immediately took my car to Gerber's and although they were booked until June, they accommodated fitting me in. I was told that I would need to leave the car with them for a couple of days which I didn't mind. Well, a couple of days ended up being a couple of hours!!! They discovered that they only had to reset the bumper. Thank you Gerber for finding a quick, simple and cost-effective solution. This is my third time using Gerber over a ten-year span and the courtesy and professionalism have always been the best. My daughter took her car to Gerber Collision & Glass Cheshire Bridge location after a pretty bad rear-end accident. As the car was in my name Steve communicated to both me and my daughter on regular intervals. He and the rest of the staff were kind and caring, and made a frustrating and upsetting experience an ease. We received regular text messages and phone calls to update us on the damage and necessary repairs. To top it all off, the car was ready a week ahead of schedule. Brought my car here after getting rear ended. Seemed fine at first but I started having a bunch of electrical issues. They took my car back in four different times to fix random things but couldnt figure out what was wrong. The dealership said that my body control module probably shorted out when Gerber put my car back together. However i cant prove that so the insurance wont pay for it and im out $1000 to fix the part myself. And of course its on back order. Been over a year and my car still isnt fixed. Giving it 2 stars bc they did try their hardest to fix my car and provided great customer service. However, wished i fought the insurance company and took my car to to the dealership to begin with. Overall, Gerber is fine with body repair. Not so great with mechanical side. read more

I have not used Gerber for glass repair but have used the for collision or body work through the years as they are preferred by y insurance, USAA. Each tie the estimators were always thorough and professional. I always get text updates, and calls on status. If something else was needed they dealt with the insurance company so was transparent to me. This last tie where y car had been damaged during a tow, Clint was my service rep. He was honest and straight forward, took responsibility for all things being done and even went above and took care of items that he found not related like replacing a rear bulb, etc. One ore note, I had an estimate done both in Athens and with Gerber and they were within$50 of each other. I had a great experience! My civic was fixed a week earlier than expected, and it looked great. The terrible buckhead roads messed up my right rocker panel, but the repair looked good as new. Took my Accord in to the Gerber location in Canton Ga to repair dents/scrapes in driver's side door from an encounter with a concrete column in a parking garage. Got a quote from a body repair shop I've used in the past. I know from those past experiences that they do excellent work, but their estimate was over 50% higher than Gerber's. I decided to take a chance on Gerber. They did a perfect job. The car has 3-step paint (white base coat, pearl coat, and clear coat) where most cars have 2-step (base coat and clear coat). I've been told it's really hard to match that type of paint, but I can't see the difference at all between the original paint and the paint applied by Gerber. Everyone in the office was exceptionally pleasant and courteous from the day I got the estimate, all the way through to picking up the car. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Ran my X6M over a tractor trailer tire. Brought it to Gerber for appraisal, I TOLD them I don't live in Atlanta and am on a fairly aggressive timeline, I have a new job in Austin, Texas. They quoted me a repair timeline of 3 days. It is now been 2 weeks, I still don't have my car, and no viable way to Texas with no timeline on when it will be complete. What's worse? How My Car Was Hit (Part 3 of 4) My car was an unfortunate victim during a late night trip to the Octopus Bar. A couple days after getting my car inspected at an Allstate location, I was finally given the "green light" to get the car fixed. I ended up here at Gerber Collision, located a convenient two minute drive away from my apartment complex. The folks here were friendly and knowledgeable. They were also flexible regarding what time of day I came in to drop off and pick up my vehicle. My one complaint is about the timing of the repairs. I dropped off my car on a Monday morning and was told that it would take till the Wednesday of the following week for the work to be done. I asked them if they could finish any sooner. While they said they'd try, their answer seemed lukewarm and didn't inspire much confidence. I also found myself having to call them, instead of them calling me, to get an update on the status of the repairs. Luckily, they did finish the repairs ahead of schedule. But, I still wish they were more responsive. read more

I was in an accident and the other person's insurance said I could go to Gerber to get my estimate. I had never heard of them so I was a little worried but their website seemed nice enough. The General Manager Tom ended up being the one to do my estimate because everyone else was in a meeting. He took one look at my car and said I shouldn't have been driving it. When I told him I was waiting on the other person's insurance company to claim liability he called them and told them my car wasn't drivable and that they needed to get me a rental in the next ten minutes. Literally five minutes later I got a call from the Enterprise (right downstairs) saying my car was ready. He walked me down and then personally called me back to let me know what was going on with my car. I went in thinking I was getting a thirty minute estimate and instead I walked a way an hour later with my car already getting fixed and in a rental. I'll update once I get the car back, but I was so impressed with the service I wanted to come on here immediately to write a review. Presuming all goes well, they have a customer for life. read more

Took my car in for some cosmetic touch ups to the bumper and replace a broken tail light. Aaron went over my car with a fine tooth comb pointing out the slightest of scratches - some I didnt even notice. The estimate to repair EVERY scratch and dent was over $3,500 so I decided to only take care of the 2 bumpers and broken tail light at a cost of about $1,200. When I came to pick up my car, the repair looked terrible. The bumper was sticking out from the car and the paint had visible drips. Don't they check these things themselves before they present you the car? Or do they hope it will be dark when you pick up the car and you wont notice? Was told the dimples in the paint on the freshly painted bumper were my imagination. Was told the reason the repair looks terrible was because a previous repair by another body shop was poorly done. They also told me that the estimate only included repainting the bumper but they gave me a new bumper (the one that doesn't fit) at no charge? The manager came over and looked at the bumper. He agreed that it was not acceptable and offered to cover the cost of a rental car while they made the repair. When I came back later the same day, Im happy to say the bumper looked much better. While I appreciated the manager making things right, why did it even have to come to that? Here is the kicker - when I got in the car to drive away something told me to look in the change holder where I had a few dollars for valet tip money and $10-15 in change. It was empty! I didnt expect them to do anything as their policy is to remove all your valuables however I did let them know so they could watch their employees more carefully. Then as I pulled into my driveway, I notice there were scratches on the glove box that looked like someone had tried to pry it open. Pretty disappointing experience but Im giving 2-stars because the manager did his best to correct the repair. read more

I talked to General Manager James last Friday and he said something to the effect that "if we had just painted the scratch, it would not look right". The fender flair looked good, except for the scratch, when I took it in. I called to get more clarification on that this morning but he has not returned my call. My thought on the whole matter is that $248.00 is not enough for them to put the vehicle in the shop. I believe they needed to generate more money, so they did more than the insurance damage appraisal called for and jacked the bill up to $579.00. read more

I had a great experience here today. Another body shop did work on my car but caused a problem with the automatic windows. I called Gerber, who were very busy, explained the situation, and despite their workload, they said they would fix it today as my windows wouldn't close and it was due to rain tonight. I drove over, and left about 10 minutes later with the problem 100% fixed. Jennifer, Barbara, and Chris all helped me out and they were top notch. Gerber wrecked my 2013 Honda Accord EX with a little over 15,000 miles after I drove it to their location in Midtown Atlanta at 589 Willow Street Northeast 30308 on 6/16/17. General manager Ed. Papazian called me on 7/5/17 to tell me they had wrecked it. He told me it was the trunk lid and back quarter panel but when I showed up to check it out the next week they had smashed in the whole back end, sideswipe the entire driver side, broken the windshield, the sunroof, banged up the hood, scratched up the roof, and totally trashed the inside of my Ivory colored cloth interior. The insurance company gave me little choice but to leave it there to be repaired. Gerber finally said somebody ran it through the back wall of their paint stall in the shed collapsed on it, though I doubt that is the whole story. It was the end of November before they finally said it was finished - no kidding, over 4 months later. Now in February 2018 we are still fighting about it and I am still in a rental car. They think the car is presentable to return to me, but the material on the seats is ruined and the seats still have stains all over them, there are still dents and scratches on the outside and areas where the paint is bubbly. The right side mirror which was undamaged when I took the car there now has scratches and white paint on it. I was told by the Gerber regional VP Chris Ray, that well, we could smooth those areas in the paint out and have the car detailed. Now why on Earth would you tell somebody their car is ready when it still looks like a hunk of junk?! They are horrible people who think nothing of ruining a $17,000 car and telling you you still owe them money for it. Don't ever go there!!! This has been the worst of any kind of business, retail, sales, anything, that I've ever had. It has been an absolute nightmare and they do not act like they are remotely sorry about it. read more

So I limped in, with two different issues and two separate insurance situations. Gerber, and specifically Mike Upton, could not have been more awesome! I drive a Saab, so parts are hard to find. They were able to fix the bumper, and I swear it looks brand new! The window was more of a challenge, but Mike would not be deterred. He searched Saab dealers, scrapyards, Gerber's own inventory, and stayed in touch with timing updates and pricing options. He made smart recommendations and really worked hard to keep my price down. This was our second time in for repair to our Tesla and as usual, Robert worked magic! The normal response time to receive parts from Tesla is approximately 4-6 months..Robert had us back on the road in less than a month.
