**SNOW**and the people that don't know how to drive in it. Late in February 2017. I was on my way to work when a lady rear ended me. On a Friday to boot! Not the best way to start a weekend. After my experience at Gerber I totally forgot this even happened. So I fought with the lady's insurance that hit me for a week and a half they finally accepted the fault for my loss. That insurance company is a hole other review itself. I took my jeep in to the people of Gerber Glass & Collision. The lady up at the front desk was very nice and understanding. She ensured me that I was in the best hands in the industry. I had other work done on another car from Gerber (different location) so I knew the job would get done right. Brandon walked around the jeep with me and explained the process and how everything would be done. also asked if there was anything I thought they should look at, That wasn't in the original estimate. Very quick and easy. So that was it I dropped of the keys and trusted them with my vehicle. Right as I pull away I get a msg informing of what's next. And through the hole process they updated me over txt msg. This was great I didn't have to take phone calls all day while working. And they promised the day of competition of 4/4/17. Just under two weeks from when I dropped it off. Mostly Because of the insurance company this lady had. To my surprise I got a msg on 3/31/17 my jeep was ready to go. 3 day's early! Couldn't be more happy. As I saw the work load this shop had. They are super busy. So I went to pick up my jeep it looked brand new. We did a walk through and they showed me everything that was done/new/etc. having a full detail on your ride is always nice. One of the painters I think his name was Devin was there when we did the walk through and he explained everything in more more he was very knowledgeable and professional. In fact everyone that I spoke with was. I would recommend this shop to anyone that wants the very best work done. And great customer service. It's your car right? You can trust the people at this Gerber Class & Collision! Two thumbs up! And a special shout out to people behind the scenes that work so hard everyday to make our cars look like the day we bought them. Keep up the great work!! read more

I went to the shop to get a replacement and was referred to the phone number. If you like hearing an automated voice bragging repeatedly about being part of the best glass company there ever existed, then it's a great experience. If you actually want to schedule an appointment for auto glass repair, not so much. It took me three attempts to get a simple call back, and when I did, they asked for my VIN number. Sorry I don't have that memorized, but it would have been nice to know when I listened to your recording for 15 minutes. I am taking my business to a company that apparently wants it. I am so disappointed in the service at Gerber!! On my first visit, I was told a week for the repairs. It ended up being 3.5 weeks! The real problem is I received the car back without my backup camera enabled, my windshield washer system was completely messed up when they replaced the windshield, and left some goop in a headlight that should not have been touched! When I called to address these issues, I was told I would have to drop the car off again and leave it indefinitely until they were able to look at it. Why wasn't there better check and balances when the car was returned to me? Next, someone moved into my lane and hit my front bumper. I hated to bring the car back to Gerber, but I thought they could get the things they didn't get done the first time around and the new repair was very minor. Again, I was told a week. Now, I'm being told that they missed a trim piece and. Don't know when it will be coming in. Why was this missed in the first place? They have had the car for two weeks this time and I still don't have a completion date. They are so slow!!! I've asked for a manager to call me, we'll see. I am not happy. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY REASON!!! It will not be treated respectfully. The receptionist lady should not be in any kind of customer facing position. She was not only rude to me, but to other customers while waiting in their lobby. My vehicle was sent here for repair by the at fault parties insurance. When we picked up our car, there were nails in multiple tires, requiring me to take it somewhere else for repair. Trim panels around the damage we had were not replaced properly, and they flat out missed painting where it had been chipped, and we had new damage on our hood. DO NOT GO HERE!! they didn't realise I had a forward facing dash camera in my car the whole time they had it and I caught one of their employees going through all my stuff and he stole something really special of mine. As soon as he realised he yanked my camera out but I had already caught him several times going through my stuff. They also failed to fix all the damage on my car leaving a dent/scrape on my back door. i messaged them and they never bothered to get back to me. read more

I brought my vehicle in with front bumper damage and the collision sensors were not working. They refused to fix one of the dents saying that it wasn't related to the accident, when it was completely obvious that it was. They painted the bumper, and everything else attached to the bumper and related to this accident was untouched. My sensors still dont work, im taking it to the dealership next week, the dealership said i shouldve brought it to the dealership first, Now I know. read more

I recently used to recommendation of my insurance company to use this auto body shop. I wouldn't go back. If I ever needed any information or updates, I would have to call. If the person I needed to speak to wasn't there yet, the. I would be told I would receive a call and then never would. I just wanted a little communication on the status of the parts for my car and the car itself. This doesn't seem too difficult. They don't have some crazy workload that keeps them from being able to call their customers. On the positive... The body work looks good. But I feel like there are a lot of options that would treat their customers better. Additionally, when I picked my car up I had a flat tire (. Not 100% flat but really low) . I was told this was my fault because there was no way they could have driven over the mail that was in it. Honestly, I didn't need for them to repair or replace the tire- I am just surprised they would give it back to me like that and then blame it on me when the car had been in their hands for a week. They friend to pass it off as though it was due to cold weather that my tire gauge was reading low but then I pointed out the nail. Upon fixing my tire, it was actually a piece of metal shrapnel that was stuck in my tire. You have a lot of options for a body shop. You can find a better one than this one. read more

I almost never leave reviews for anything but my experience here was terrible. The lady that sits at the front counter was one of the most unpleasant humans I've ever met. On top of the poor customer service They "fixed" my car door but broke my window so they returned the car to me and the window didn't roll up and down, so after waiting almost a month for the first fix I had to return the vehicle and wait another 2 weeks. I went back and picked up the vehicle a second time and noticed there was a rattling inside the door when I opened and closed it, like a loose part. I needed the vehicle so I took it and a week later the door fell off. They replaced the door but didn't attaché the hinge bolts . Took it back a third time and they got it taken care of ( I hope) Don't recommend Gerber read more

WOW! My wife and I had a great experience at this repair shop. I had to bring my vehicle in due to a comprehensive claim and they did a great job. The new manager, Steve, went the extra mile to take care of us and he is very passionate about making a difference in the automotive industry by making it better. Although the delay in parts were outside of his control, he still put in the effort to make sure that he personally gave us white glove service. Gerber Collision & Glass work for having trained technicians did a poor job on my truck. The minor scratch on the truck turned into almost a whole side repair and paint with added things. The staff professionalism was extremely poor from the day I picked up the truck and saw the poor-quality work. Mediocre work and mostly terrible customer service. I had a very pleasant experience with Gerber and would highly recommend them for body work.

I very rarely leave reviews but this needed one. This was the most unreliable repair shop. To start off when you first call, the lady at the front desk is rude and very unhappy. They did not leave one update and when you would call to check in they seemed frustrated. They estimated my car taking 3 weeks and it was there for around three months. They kept messing up the part orders and kept giving different stories on what is missing and what they needed. The manager was trying to get us to pay the deductible when the car was unfinished. He said there was a lot of paperwork he had to do to get his employees paid. Then followed up with the fact that we could 'test' drive our unfinished vehicle for a day. The only time the manager cared to get the car finished was when we said no to paying the deductible. My car had to leave unfinished due to the bad quality. Overall very unprofessional and not worth the hassle. Avoid this place to save yourself a headache, time, and money. read more

The girl Berkeley called and canceled my appointment as supposedly State Farm didn't send an assignment over. She canceled my appointment I had made weeks ago. She was rude and mean and nasty. She canceled my appointment and I called my insurance company and they said it was sent over since the 2nd. My insurance provider called them and then Berkeley changed the story and said they had the assignments but that the guy for the hail damage wouldn't be in. She was rude to my insurance provider as well. If she tries to say she didn't say that, I have a voicemail and my Statefarm insurance also records all phone calls. You have a horrible customer service representative and I suggest you investigate, before you lose more customers due to her unprofessional behavior and lying tendencies. I will no longer be coming here for any repairs and neither will my husband or any of my family. I understand you may be busy due to the weather but you can easily say we can schedule you for another day, not lie as to why it was canceled to both my insurance provider and myself. read more

This review is overdue, and I'd like to begin by saying this all happened in August of 2016. I took my car in to get fixed, and... they kind of did that? The day I got the call that my car was ready to pick up, I was elated and excited to have my car back! I took it in because I lady ran a red light and hit me, so I was pretty upset it had happened in the first place. When I get there... it looked like they just slapped on the front bumper, and didn't care about much else. Gaps every where. I could literally lift the left side of the bumper with little effort to close the half an inch gap in between it and the rest of the body. Like it was hanging on by a thread. Additionally, the car did not make a beep, nor flashed it's lights upon hitting the lock button. They took it back, and apologized, and a couple days later I got another call. Things were better... but still not great. This is after providing them with pictures of what the car looked like before. It was just still so obvious to me that the bumper was just totally crooked. On one side, the lines were razor thin, thinner than when I bought the car. And on the other, they were still nearly half an inch thick. Anyway, they were very apologetic and willing to make good on their errors, but it never looked that great afterwards, and having to take the car back again after not having it for weeks was a bummer. Could have been worse, but could have been much better. read more

My vehicle was ready sooner than expected and the work was perfect. They even cleaned the interior! I chose this place based on a recommendation from my insurance company, as well as decent Yelp reviews. Here's my take on this location: Five stars for friendliness and customer service. Their staff is very friendly and inviting and got me in with an appointment on the day I drove up. I had gotten in an accident that crushed my front hood and bumper, and my radiator had to be replaced. The guys here were happy to deal with my insurance company also, which saved me a hassle! While they said they would keep me updated on the process of my car every couple of days, they only called me once in a two week repair period, and the car took twice as long as quoted. Luckily not a huge inconvenience for me as I had an extra car to drive. But I give them two stars for quality of service. While my hood and bumper LOOKED amazing and brand new, my car broke down after I drove it for forty minutes. The engine started smoking, and my temperature gauge was over the hot line. I pulled into a gas station and found my coolant tank completely empty, leaving my car not drivable because the engine cooling system wasn't working. Gerber was closed, so I wasn't able to deal with it until the following morning. Because I could not drive my car, the next day Ed drove to my place of work and picked up my car keys to see what the issue was with his mechanic (An over the top effort on his part and saved me a towing fee). They drove to my car and resolved the issue. Ed apologized profusely and offered a gift card to be sent to me for the hassle and mistake on their part. It's been over three weeks, and I have not received my compensation for the error of their repairs. Bottom line: They are friendly and made my car look great, but I was extremely upset and disappointed in the quality of the overall work. My repairs were very expensive and this issue shouldn't have happened. I hope they do a more thorough inspection of their work with future customers. read more

Avoid this vendor at all costs. There communication is terrible. And, they sent us an authorization form that is completely onerous. They wanted us to assign our full insurance claim to them with no exception for medical payments. They also put is a ridiculous clause that without my permission they could commence work on the car and that as part of the estimate they could take the car apart and not put it back together if I did not use them. They essentially want to trap you into doing business with them with no option if you are not satisfied with their estimate. Their business practices are abhorrent and completely anti-consumer. I was involved in a rear accident collision 10 days ago, not my fault. I have been here in Colorado for the last 5 weeks on a project. I haven't had an accident in over 10 years. With that said - I needed some help to get my truck back on the road. After 40 phone calls, most shops could not see me till June (apparently there had been a few accidents recently...) Gerber Collision on Santa Fe offered a quick solution. Ms. Christina Cross (a true Angel) took my call, checked the shop schedule and set me up an appointment the next day. Unbelievable!! No one else would even see me for 2 weeks. Next day, I walked in at 0730 hrs, Christina took my information. Within 5 minutes, their adjuster, Mr. Brandon Pettit, inspected my damaged vehicle. He walked me through the damage, let me know what they planned to replace and gave me a reasonable estimate. I had a smile on my face. Not easy...Christina made sure I had a covered rental vehicle within 10 minutes. WOW. I received texts (my choice) every couple days with an update. Very comforting and informative. I received a call less than 10 days after I submitted my vehicle. Holy Doodle. When every other shop was quoting June (months out), this outfit did an estimate, found me a rental, repaired (truck looks better now :-) and called me days before the estimated time back. Just for anyone reading this - I live in NJ. Its a very demanding environment and we expect perfection. We are sometimes known to be over the top A-holes. Given. There was no need to go over the top here. Before any concerns came up - Gerber Santa Fe had an answer. They were professional, friendly, listened and addressed any concerns I had, and the entire shop were excellent. I am not a pushover nor do I give accolades easily. Trust this shop - they will fix you right up. I thank them very much as they allowed me to get home to my family as soon as possible. In my opinion - you'd be silly to go elsewhere. I picked it up and it was pulling to one side and I called them back, they put me into a rental at no charge adjusted things and I was on my way again. This is a very unprofessional shop. I dropped my car off to them, they kept it for 3 weeks before they did anything. After ordering the parts, they took another 3 weeks to fix my car INCORRECTLY. They delayed getting me any information, did not take my calls, and did not return my emails. I never got any information on what they were fixing. When I finally picked my car up, my bumper was visibly attached crooked. Instead of fixing it, Ethan, the general manager procedded to kick the bumper in with his foot and jam it back into place, which it did not go back into place. I told Ethan I was worried that if this is how he fixed it, I was worried that other issues with the repair would arise. The liner of the wheel fender was rubbing on my tire and you can hear it when you are driving on the road. When I asked Ethan, the general manager to fix his shotty work, he had my car for 4 weeks and did not communicate with me. Now I am desperately trying to get my car back to take to another shop. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE CROOKS. read more

Gerber Collision on Santa Fe is one of the best body shops I've been to! The staff is all incredibly cheerful which made an otherwise unpleasant experience very nice. My car was side swiped on the street in a hit and run and had to be in the shop for 3 weeks. I had a rental during the repair and very stupidly managed to put a little dent in it after sliding on some ice in front of my garage. I was extremely upset and showed it to Gerber while dropping off a key to my roof rack. They were so nice: they popped it out by hand and buffed it out for me right there! I also feel the technicians at Gerber are more honest than many other body shops - the first place I took it to said I needed to replace my entire door but Gerber was able to repair the door just by replacing the skins. What a relief. Definitely will be using Gerber for all future body work! read more

I have no relationship with this shop prior to repairs completed last week. I met the shop manager Darren after being referred to Gerber by my insurance company. Moderate damage sustained to left rear quarter panel/bumper/paint on my 20 year old SUV. At every step of process Darren kept me informed as to timelines which were always accurate. Vehicle came out perfect and you can't even tell it was ever damaged. He runs a tight ship there and the staff with him are all performers who are good at what they do. Absolutely the best customer service I've ever had at an auto shop!! I was rear-ended a few days before I had to travel out of town so I was hoping to get my Jeep into the shop before I left so it could be ready upon my return. The insurance companies did their best to get things in order, but Gerber went the extra mile to see that everything worked out best for me. They even called me while I was traveling to give me the status of my repairs! Upon my return there was one little sticky issue that needed a lot of troubleshooting to find so I had to bring my Jeep back the next morning. They found it and had it fixed much quicker than I expected they would. In the meantime, I was very comfortably accommodated in their waiting room so didn't lose any work time at all. Hopefully I won't need their services again any time soon, but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to come back to them. In fact, I've recommended to the other insurance company that they put Gerber on their "preferred" list as my insurance company has! read more

I was hit in an accident and the drivers Insurance sent me to them and I had gone to other places. There ended up lying and submitting such a low estimate that I now cannot get my car fixed from any other place. The people who work their are professional scammers. I asked the employee how long they have been in business, he said "I do no know" I said, "do you have any prior education or skills or training in auto work and estimates?" he said no. This is the man doing estimates on my car. I had a phone conversation later where I told him I was recording him for my records. he basically did not do any research and was making up numbers. They are paid off by the insurance companies to give low ball estimates. Their estimate was 1500 whereas the other shop that I need to fix the car properly is $2200. Should I bring them to court? Do not do business with these guys. read more

Horrible experience. Getting rear ended was horrible in itself, but this place made my experience much much worse. For one they refused to repair parts from the accident and I had to fight them on it constantly. Smashed my knee on my console and broke it, they refused to fix it and had to get my insurance on them. Get a call that they are done, returned my rental car and everything only to find out they still have not fixed it. Great, went and got another rental car. Then they call me and say it's "finished" I see my trunk, which was dented in the accident is STILL dented. They refused to fix as well. As they deemed it "not part of the accident"?? My insurance company switched me from this place after the trunk, and apologized to me for there actions. Brandon was extremely rude and not helpful, and my agent also stated she had an unpleasant experience with him on multiple occasions. DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I was rear ended somewhere else just so I wouldn't have had to go here and give these horrible people my money. No follow up or apologies either. read more

After a short turnaround, there is no evidence of hail damage on my Subaru. In fact, it was cleaner inside and out than when I dropped it off. They even swapped out the badges on the rear end for me. Professional, efficient, friendly, wifi, and going the extra mile? This facility checks all the boxes and I will return in the future if ever needed. read more

I got run off the road and had damage to every panel on the driver's side of my car (body only, nothing mechanical). Everyone at Gerber was friendly, helpful, and talked to me respectfully (yeah, that should be a given, but everyone who's not a car expert has had the other kind of experience with a shop). They finished all the work within the window of time they told me up front, and kept me updated along the way. You can't tell there's ever been any work, so two thumbs up on that. They also handled all the billing directly with my insurance company, so that was awesome. (Minus one star because the screeching bird in the waiting area was... let's go with "super annoying." My ony advice is "Tread Carefully". My insurance company referred me to Gerber. My accident occurred just after a snow storm, so most autobody shops were booked three weeks out. In my situation, a minor front bumber/fender issue, it had somehow messed up my driver door (though not visible from the outside) and it would not open. I could not continue for three weeks without a functioning front door. Gerber was able to get me in within 3-4 days! My adjuster told me that the repairs should not take longer than 4-5 days, but when I got the car into the shop they indicated it would take over two weeks! The replacement included a new front bumper, driver side fender, driver side headlight and driver side mirror. No engine or wheel damage, but they were going to do a realignment just in case. About three days into the repair they claimed my adjuster ordered the wrong headlight and that caused a delay of a couple more days. Then the day before I was to pick up my car, they called to say that Mazda had delvered the wrong bumper...another three day delay! Convenient that it was never THEIR fault. When I finally picked up my car, I thought all was well. But a couple of days later, I went to roll down my driver side window and a horrible scratching occurred. I called the shop and they got me in very quickly. Turns out that the tech didn't secure down a bar property inside the door when they replaced my side mirror. Now I have minor scratching on my dirver side window, which of course is impossible to prove who did what..even though they admit to the improper finish on the door. Then a couple days later, I went to hand wash my car and noticed that a large piece of plastic from the fender that should have been UNDER the hood/windshield section, was sticking up. Again I took it back and they apologized for the error and loosened the fender to put everything back together as it should have been in the first place. Bottom line, although Jason and John were always very kind to me and trying to do their best, I wouldn't trust their techs for even the most minor of jobs...my case in point. If you choose to or must use them, give your car a THOROUGH inspection before taking it off their lot. read more
