My poor little Ford Focus was parked innocently in the driveway (like ALWAYS) and he backed his ginormous truck into my side view mirror.... obviously, truck vs side view mirror = truck wins. I came outside to find my poor little busted mirror hanging off the car. Not wanting to drive back to Chi with a dangling mirror, I drove down the road to Fleury's to find out if they could fix it quickly. And fix it fast, they did my friends. Jim is super nice. He did a quick inspection of the damage and made a call to find out if he could get a new mirror for me that day. He quickly found a part in stock, and told me that if I came back that afternoon they'd be happy to fix it for me while I waited. The price was completely fair and he assured me the wait would only be ~30 minutes. Cut to 2pm when I returned to Fleury's to have them actually fix everything. I sat in their extremely comfortable waiting area that has a TV and a ton of magazines (Woohoo! Is that an Us Weekly that I see?! Happy camper!). I wasn't even past "Who Wore It Best" when Jim ducked back inside to tell me everything was fixed. 20 minute wait at most. Long story short, I had busted side mirror and Fleury's fixed it quickly, at a fair price, and they did great work. I would go there again but *hopefully* I won't have to!!!!

Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we viewed hostas in the cold and damp. This did not deter us; we were in an American Pickers' mood. Al's annual "Hosta Fest" was on. It was a less gala affair than the web site advertised. There weren't that many plants potted for sale and the prices were high. "Greenie's BBQ" sandwiches turned out to be roasted brisket in an electric cooker, served on giant cold onion buns with store-bottled BBQ sauce on the side. OK so that wasn't great, but then we followed the path around the side of the barn and entered a wooded wonderland--acres of hostas planted in sweeps, drifts and rows. There were varieties I had never seen before. Hardly any of them were labeled which was very frustrating. And of course, the owner was out front selling so there was no one to ask. But it really was an amazing sight.

When I took my car to Premier Body & Paint for a quote, they were extremely professional and friendly.
