This review is so very long overdue. Nonetheless, an important story of giving back. Earlier this year, I had a minor accident. My car was side-swiped and left damage that I thought would require going through the entire process of estimate, turn-in and repair. My insurance company gave me names of recommended auto body shops. Gerber was one that I drive by every day of the week. I went in to Gerber to schedule an estimate. They were very busy and lead-times were terrible. I spoke to Amanda who said the estimate appt was one month out. She then said well let me take a look. She goes out to my car and says that it looks like the damage could just be buffed out. She said hold a minute and let me get a technician. Their technician, Dakota, came out and said Amanda was exactly right. Went back in to the shop, brought out the tools and repaired my car right on the spot!!! At NO CHARGE!!! I know they absolutely did not have to do that for me, but they did. I was so grateful for their generosity and the time they both spent looking over, and fixing my car. I came in for an estimate after a minor collision. They were efficient and helpful. The receptionist is very friendly and welcoming. Their waiting room, though stark, had coffee available and a fridge of bottled water. Until I receive word back from the other party's insurance I won't make the decision of where to take my car but I can definitely reccomend them for estimates and second opinions. read more

I recommend that you do not use this shop. I highly question their honesty/ethics. They damaged the rear sensors on my car and at first tried to pass it off on me at my expense (they were working just fine when I took it in). Of course I had no way to prove it, but after some serious advocating for myself, they relented and fixed it on their dime. Then when I drove off after picking it up I noticed that the front windshield had a large crack in it that wasn't there when I dropped it off. I immediately drove back and they told me that I must have cracked it in the minutes it took to go back to the shop. They told my insurance company the same thing. Ridiculous. The manager wouldn't even return my calls or emails. I was out $500. I will never use this shop again and encourage everyone I know to stay away. If you do use this shop make sure you photo and video document every single thing about your car before you leave. Even then they might call you a liar. read more

Just had my car repaired here, they replaced my front bumper, both headlights and one front fender. Got it back today and it all looks flawless, better than it was before the accident! Insurance company recommended another repair center, but I wanted one closer to home and work. Gerber was a second choice and I requested them. I was told by the insurance agent that my appointment was for a certain day and the rental car would meet me there. I called Gerber and was transferred to the collision area where a lady immediately said "Is this for an estimate?" I said no, that my insurance company had set up an appointment. She said, you can't come then, you will have to come another day. I explained that I would have to get back to her, as I had already arranged to be late to work on the appointed day. I called back in the afternoon and the lady said you can't have that day because you didn't call back. You'll have to do another day! Obviously, they do not really want to work with the customer. Rude, antagonistic and belligerent. I said forget it and will go to recommended repair facility. I am glad she stopped me from coming as I can only imagine what the service would have been. I have never received better customer service at a repair shop in my life. They kept me up to date with the progress of my car during the entire process. They were helpful with assisting me with my rental car needs as well. Throughout my repair process, I had the opportunity to work with Amanda (front desk) and Jon (GM). One star is the lowest you can rate or it would be lower. We had repairs done there before and everything was fine so we decided to go back. It started with the estimate it was a little hard to make an appointment and get in which is understandable they were busy. This in my mind was not a bad sign as it means that there is a trusted reputation built. Then we got the check from the insurance company and it was difficult to get in to the point where I had to call repeatedly to get a time set. This is a little more alarming as it is judging there ability to follow up with you. The car was finished nearly on time or so we thought. When my wife went to pick it up they said they had yet to put the pen stripe on the van. So it really wasn't ready and they asked her to come back the next day. The next day they were still not ready and asked her to come back later and they were still not ready. This would be inconvenient for anyone but my wife works nights at a hospital so this is extremely difficult for her to end up missing sleep for unnecessary trips. We had been trying to get in touch because the door that they repaired also stopped working. At this point I feel like they have they money and I have been taken. I am not sure how they can ask for the money when they job is not completed. After several calls I finally got the manager to call me back. He pointed blame at his front desk people and offered to fix the issue and put the stripe on promptly. His only offer is for things he should have done nothing more for the 4K paid and several trips and calls made to get them to move. The van is still not fixed and this is by far a terrible experience. They are clearly too busy and the repairs, front desk and management cannot handle it. read more

Wow! What a great experience! After just moving here from AZ, it's been pretty stressful. After getting my children to bed so I could sneak out Christmas shopping I accidentally clipped my driver's side rear view mirror backing out of my garage. I called a few body shops to see if there were any openings and not many wanted to work with bc of the holidays. I went to Gerber Collision and Glass to obtain an estimate. I worked with Jon. He was so friendly and patient. He gave me a fair and honest estimate, and some good news! Only the mirror casing need to be replaced vs: the entire mirror saving me quite a bit of money. He also had me scheduled to come in within the week. I just picked up my car and it looks beautiful! The interior was vacuumed and cleaned up. I have 2 children so this much appreciated! They also did some courtesy touch up spots around the car for me. My car was in and out in one day; no rental needed. Highly recommend this shop! Excellent service! read more

IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR FIXED RIGHT, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! the adjuster was very belittling and abrupt. completely lowballed me,. i had gone to 2 other very well established, respectable, professional businesses who have decades in this area. her (gerber) estimate was a couple of hundred dollars less and she said they were doing unnecessary work! the insurance agent had insisted that i go to this place, so the reason became very clear. she was very anxious to call them and tell them her theory about unnecessary work. After filling out there "instant" online quote,I was called BY GERBER and asked to come in to get a quote. I needed a couple rust spots removed (which I clearly filled out in the online form). After driving across town to get the quote GERBER asked me to come in for, they tell me they don't do that sort of work. I realize the company is big, but a little communication would have saved me the gas, time, and frustration. If this is how organized the company is, I have doubts on their work in the fist place. read more
