That being said, the mobile aspect of this business is very, very convenient for the modern day parent. Anyways, first time having these guys do work for me and it was on my 2013 Chevy Camaro SS. The car wasn't in bad shape to begin with, but the paint had some swirls in it and generally just looked like a vehicle where no one had ever done anything to the paint other than wash it. I wanted someone to actually clean it up and polish it so the paint would look fresh and new. J.D. came out and spent most of the day on it. I watched him from time-to-time just to see his process, and I felt very confident he knew exactly what he was going. Top it off with the fact that he has to be one of the most friendly people to talk to (and has some good opinions / points of view). His communication was excellent, he kept me informed throughout the entire process, and I genuinely felt like my vehicle was in good hands. Customer service like his is hard to find, and he made a stressful situation much easier. I do want to mention that after the new engine was installed, my Escalade ended up stranded on the side of the road because a technician had accidentally forgotten to reconnect a clamp on a reservoir. While that was certainly frustrating, what truly impressed me was how Lum's handled the situation. I called and left a message, and their team immediately stepped up. They arranged to have my vehicle towed back to the shop on a Saturday, quickly diagnosed and corrected the issue, and then went above and beyond by personally delivering my vehicle back to me because of the inconvenience. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but a company's true character is shown by how they respond when something goes wrong. Lum's GMC handled it with professionalism, accountability, and genuine care. I made the mistake of not doing these things and just taking the easy route by going to the place someone told me about without doing any of my own research and it really hurt. I paid for this in my personal time 20 times over at least and ended up having to get the same job done twice over . Also, if you've doubted my testament so far just read some other reviews that say the same thing - lack of professionalism, coming back to get the same work done twice and worst of all - being told I needed something replaced that didn't need to be. How do I know? Because the $1,400 item that needed to be replaced was justified because it was 'leaking'. a "bad seal", "have to replace the whole thing". Having learned my lesson on another $10,000 job done twice I investigated myself. Guess what? My power steering system is a new electric type that has no fluid, super weird, but chrysler confirmed "yea dude, it's technically impossible for there to be leaking fluid there because there is no fluid to leak". Turns out it was a messy oil change that spilled over - go figure. It's your life - waste your money if you want, tell yourself that won't happen to me. LOL. Do your thing.
