Back in 2024, Grant from Gerber C & G in McMinnvlile did a thorough service job for my daughters bumper. He was kind, knowledgeable, patient to hear our story, and was considerate in wanting to do the job right. Unfortunately, we had to get another claim set up after the first one, same year, was done sloppily at Gerber C & G from Portland on SE Grant St. When brought into McMinnville GCG, they discovered my daughters bumper was a mess underneath. There were bolts missing, parts of plastic ripped off, the bumper could not be tacked on due to stripped bolts. If the first Gerber in Portland had told us about the condition, and insurance would only pay some since it was an older car, we would have added our own money to do a decent job. Great experience up until final processing of our totaled vehicle. The staff that worked with our vehicle and the front office scheduler were amazing at all times communicating status through the process. Unfortunately, when we went today to collect personal items from the vehicle, it was discovered that a couple personal items which were left in the vehicle had been stolen. These things happen and it's understandable. In an effort to communicate this to the General Manager of this location it became clear they had no concern for our situation or intention of even pretending they cared. The vehicle was obviously left unlocked at some point while in Gerbers possession and something happened, but instead of attempting to act as if he cared, he made an excuse about the back hatchback being damaged so the vehicle couldn't lock. This is true but in the back of the vehicle was all the parts removed during inspection. When I pointed out the likelihood of someone emptying out paneling, a seat, tire, fenders, etc., to rummage through a vehicle and then take time to put it all back the way they found it, was low, all he did was dig his heals in and place blame. Now it had became the customers fault because we were told to remove items if we chose to. He was correct and unlike him, we own that completely. No one was trying to place blame at any time and only wanted to share the information with leadership in hopes of possibly avoiding it happening again to someone else. Even after explaining that we understood this the general manager still wanted to ensure it's clear that nothing is his fault and he assumes zero responsibility for the things that take place at this location. Next is when he informs me they have a large ongoing issue with people climbing over their gates, squeezing between the fences, etc., and it's happened three times already this year. What he didn't tell me is what was being done to address it. I can assume whatever is being done matches his level of service, zero. With that said, the general manager at this location has made it very clear they do not have a secure yard for your vehicle while it's in Gerbers possession and the only thing they accept is that it's an issue. Having the general manager say the lot gets broken into regularly with a shrug is concerning. Nothing changes this situation after creating this review and again its my own fault for taking our vehicle into Gerber. I have been told by half a dozen friends, family and co-workers that the quality of work, level of professionalism and the overall business has been getting worse over the past year. I took a risk by assuming my experience would be different and unfortunate it wasn't. Again, everyone involved from beginning to end at Gerber was great and made an already stressful experience a little better, with the exception of the general manager. Unfortunately, they're lack of effort to even acknowledge that our belongs being stolen was something bad is what we walked out the door remembering about Gerber Collision.It's too bad that while watching everyone run around working this location to make things work, it is being led by someone who made it very apparent to me today, that they care bout anything, especially customers and being professional. Hopefully anyone reading this and considering service from here is fortunate enough not to have to deal with this GM and honestly, as long as you only go where the work is being done and stay away from the office, you're guaranteed never to see him. read more

The staff is truly prepared & empathetic to each individuals needs. Mr. Quiahuitl & Mrs. Erica are the definition of detailed. All service requested, from intake, documentation, communication they provided me with time &patience to walk me through the process. Quiahuitl was proactive with any and all explanations, in order of priority. Erica was genuine and kind as she made sure to ask me questions, allowing me to leave more knowledgeable of the process. The Mcminnville location has the highest level of trained technicians within the collision repair industry. I am truly thankful for returning my vehicle back in a better condition.
