What a disappointment…read more On December 19, 2022 I went to McCarthy Collision, in Olathe KS, for an estimate on my 2019 Nissan Rouge. At that time I set up an appointment for January 26, 2023 to have my car repaired (minor incident involving the rear bumper, right side); no other damage to any other body parts. I was also told it would take 4 business days to repair (replace) the rear bumper; I also paid $832.45 for parts (did not use my insurance since it would be less than $2,000). Please remember all this was done on December 19, 2022. On January 25, 2023 I dropped off, to McCarthy Collision in Olathe KS, my Rogue. On January 31, 2023 (the day I was told it would take 4 days to repair my car) I called, since I had a doctors appointment on February 1st, and was informed that McCarthy Collision did not have all the parts. The major question I have .."why wasn't I told by someone, anyone when I dropped my car off on January 25th and gave the keys to the receptionist that all the parts weren't in?" Please remember i paid for the parts on December 19th. I had to spent extra monies to rent a car to get my doctors appointment (canceling was not an option since it takes months to reschedule a doctors appointment). This is piss poor customer service. Before anyone says anything, I don't believe Covid-19 had anything to do with McCarthy not getting all of the parts in. People are to eager to blame everything on Covid. Ok, let's say not getting the parts were Covid related. That should have not stopped them (McCarthy) from calling me on the phone, or even emailing me that they did not have all the parts and not to bring the car in until they were ready to repair the car. My car was finally done on February 7, 2023. Needless to say, if I am in need of any bodywork on any vehicles I own I will not be taking them to any McCarthy Collision centers in the metro area.

I didn't ask but was expecting some sort of discount for the inconvenience and error they had caused. Today, three days later I got my car. I had a small scratch in the hood that I was expecting to see it gone. Nope, they just used a tiny brush and painted over it. Tony said that was what was agreed on. Since I never got a written estimate, I cannot prove that it was agreed on. I was told and understood that it was going to be repaired. $1000 deductible, and $250 later I'm leaving the shop completely disappointed and don't know if I would send anyone else to them. I had already sent one person to them. I felt dismissed and ignored. I didn't argue or anything I just walked away extremely disappointed.

I requested an oil change and tire rotation as it had been 5,000 miles since the last time I had…read morethose services performed. Automan/Autoplaza called AFTER they had performed the tire rotation and questioned my logic in performing this service multiple times. Then, he said that the tires were worn out and he just couldn't figure out why, but maybe it was out of alignment. The tires had 42,100 miles on them, and they are rated at 45,000 miles - original equipment on the 2016 vehicle. Rotation at 5,000 miles is standard and recommended by Nissan. So, a repair shop worthy of my continued business would have stopped the rotation when taking the first tire off the car, prepared a quick quote of 2-3 tire options and called me to say that they thought it needed tires and perhaps I would consider that rather than the rotation. Not this guy. Charged $45 for a tire rotation he couldn't rationalize. Was bewildered how my tires may be worn out. Suggested there was something wrong with the car, but offered no evidence to that end. Didn't bother to spec out replacement tires for me (even after I asked him to do so and gave 45 minutes before I came to pick up the car.) Services were pricey - my car takes synthetic oil, but they charged over $27 more for this service than my previous mechanic. The dealer where my wife gets her car serviced does a synthetic change including tire rotation, multipoint inspection, and fluid top-off for about the same price I was charged just for the LOF at Automan/Autoplaza. The scratches on my door will buff out, I'm pretty sure. And, I did contact through the "contact us" option on their website and have received no response.

After taking my car to a different shop this time, I realized they didn't do things that were supposed to be done when replacing an ignition. I don't think they set me up for success when I used this shop. I know someone else who has also used them multiple times for motor issues and continue to have problems after investing a lot off money into this shop. The people are friendly but seems like they aren't precise in the work they do, especially when this work is a lot of money out of pocket.

Horrible. Customer service is TERRIBLE…read more We had a very small chip on our windshield and brought it in here to get it fixed. When we brought the car in, it was a tiny small area, the size of a mole. After getting resin in the area, the chip looks way worse. There are whisker like lines coming out now in two different directions. I called and they said to bring the car in. So I did. They said there was nothing they could do since the resin was already in. My issue is that these whiskers or whatever the technical term for these lines on the glass were not there before the repair. And since having the repair, they are getting longer. The whiskers reflect the sun in a horrible way. The tall guy with reddish hair (name ????) was an a--hole. Excuse my language. They do not offer mobile services so I had driven 25 minutes out of the way. Do not recommend! Or if you get a quote on the phone, make sure they email you a confirmation while you are on the phone because they will not keep their word. I was recommended this company from my auto repair shop and I will be making sure they don't recommend this company to anyone else.
