What a disappointment. On December 19, 2022 I went to McCarthy Collision, in Olathe KS, for an estimate on my 2019 Nissan Rouge. At that time I set up an appointment for January 26, 2023 to have my car repaired (minor incident involving the rear bumper, right side); no other damage to any other body parts. I was also told it would take 4 business days to repair (replace) the rear bumper; I also paid $832.45 for parts (did not use my insurance since it would be less than $2,000). Please remember all this was done on December 19, 2022. On January 25, 2023 I dropped off, to McCarthy Collision in Olathe KS, my Rogue. On January 31, 2023 (the day I was told it would take 4 days to repair my car) I called, since I had a doctors appointment on February 1st, and was informed that McCarthy Collision did not have all the parts. The major question I have .."why wasn't I told by someone, anyone when I dropped my car off on January 25th and gave the keys to the receptionist that all the parts weren't in?" Please remember i paid for the parts on December 19th. I had to spent extra monies to rent a car to get my doctors appointment (canceling was not an option since it takes months to reschedule a doctors appointment). This is piss poor customer service. Before anyone says anything, I don't believe Covid-19 had anything to do with McCarthy not getting all of the parts in. People are to eager to blame everything on Covid. Ok, let's say not getting the parts were Covid related. That should have not stopped them (McCarthy) from calling me on the phone, or even emailing me that they did not have all the parts and not to bring the car in until they were ready to repair the car. My car was finally done on February 7, 2023. Needless to say, if I am in need of any bodywork on any vehicles I own I will not be taking them to any McCarthy Collision centers in the metro area. read more

An attempted theft the car is a collector the insurance carrier tried to force after mkt parts McCarthy stopped that from happening and found other multiple issues regrading damage their customer service rep Malissa has been amazing great company I highly recommend them if you want reuses done correctly read more

By far the best collision/auto body repair shop in the area. Aaron cook is always my go to guy at that facility and has gone above and beyond w providing customer service. From calls throughout the repairs to doing a complete walk around to ensure that my car has been repaired up to my standards(which are extremely high, as I have no children therefore my GTO is my child in my life) to even following me to enterprise to drop the rental so I wasn't stuck waiting around. I would recommend this place to family, friends and those who are just seeking a paint job to a bad accident repair. The mccarthy Chevrolet service center even is my favorite shop for repairs. Mccarthy all around is a great and ethical company that will continue to receive my continued business and my recommendations. read more

I took my car here because it was recommended by my insurance company after an automobile accident. I regret it 100%. They did everything wrong that they could have done wrong - didn't prime my new bumper before painting it so that the paint chipped on the corners, didn't straighten my hood out so that it would close properly, and tried to act like they were blind when I showed them several other issues that were a direct cause of the accident. They never called me to update me on the status of repairs and when I could pick up my car - I always had to call them and check in. Even after I had to waste my time and take it back in so they could fix the corners of my bumper where the paint was chipping, it happened again (because they didn't do it right to begin with). So instead of wasting more of my life on the issues, I decided that I would move on with life and write a review so that the rest of Kansas City would know about the horrible service that I received. read more

I have to wonder if the previous reviewer (Dana W.) and I have gone to the same shop to get repairs. I've used McCarthy's body shop numerous times and have referred many others to it as well. Everyone praises the work they do there and thanks me for recommending them. Honestly, they are the most ethical group of guys you could ever hope to meet, especially in an industry as suspect as the automotive industry. So many shamsters out there! But McCarthy is NOT one of them. A truly honest crew that does top-of-the-line work. I'd suggest definitely checking this collision center out if you have a car accident. I took my 4 day old 2016 Toyota RAV4 to the shop in Olathe for some minor side damage. The estimate was $1791.91. I was told to bring it in on March 23. Got a call a day or two previous to that saying the parts didn't come in. Please bring it in on tues April 5. I did so and was told it would be ready on Friday April 8. I then received a call telling me that they were running a little behind schedule my car would be ready the following Wednesday. FIVE DAYS LATER! I'm not happy! Don't overbook! I then received a call on Tuesday,one day earlier than predicted. They informed me that the total bill would be $2011.00. I explained to them that my estimate/contract said $1791.91. NOT $2011.00 They informed me that some parts costs more than predicted. I INFORMED THEM THAT THE ESTIMATE WAS FOR $1791.91. Well it's not our fault that some parts costs more. I explained to them that it was their job to provide me with an honest and accurate estimate. Not jack the price up because of a mistake on their part. After arguing with three different people including the Shop Manager over the course of 2 hours they finally relented and settled for $1791.91.I plan on contacting Kenny Thomas Toyota that recommended them and tell them about my unpleasant experience. Oh, by the way I haven't had a chance to look the car over yet to see what else they screwed up. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE I EVER TAKE ANYTHING TO THEM AGAIN!!! read more
