The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. It kept cracking after the new mirror was installed! It took 3 tries before they could figure out it was a screw that was slightly proud of the frame. They repaired that mirror 3 times, AND repaired the frame, and only charged me what they had originally estimated when they picked the door up on day 1. I scheduled a repair for a road debris chip at this location through my insurance company. When I arrived, I was greeted after about 5 minutes and was told that "this is not a cosmetic repair, it's structural and because we have to apply pressure, it may make the crack worse, but it shouldn't". I don't know if he had even seen the damage before making this statement, and this is something I have never heard from another Safelite technician before today. That should have been my cue to bail, but I've never had an issue with Safelite before so I went ahead. After the repair was complete, he told me "it spread, do you want to see it". The half-inch, barely noticeable damage had become an inch and a half crack that is clearly visible. He said "it's filled so it will be ok, but if it isn't you can do a windshield replacement". I asked if it's likely to spread and he answered "it shouldn't". That didn't make me feel better. I shouldn't have gone to this location.

The first windshield was installed high to the roof on the left and shifted as far right as the glass could go. Another replacement was ordered at this point and when that glass was installed the installer damaged the paint all the way around the edge of the glass. They also damaged the interior A-pillar and steering wheel in the process. Now the glass had to be cut out again and reinstalled. The edges of the glass was damaged in multiple locations and the rubber seal around the edge has now been replaced with a foam that is not up to the standard it should be. There was also excess foam sticking out about 1" at the top corners of the glass. This is absolutely unacceptable for a warranty repair whether it is within your spec or not. Now the dealer is ordering another new windshield and hopefully will find someone else to cut out and reinstall the new one. This will be the 4th windshield in my vehicle due to incompetent installers.
