Gerber's Family Restaurant exceeded my expectations! I went with my parents after church on a Sunday. We were seated right away. And drink orders were taken in less than five minutes. Bonus, they served Pepsi products. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and a small salad, which was served with garlic bread. The sauce was great! I know it was cooked for a long time as the green peppers did not give me heat burn. And the portion was huge. Way more than I could eat for lunch. The salad was also bigger than I expected. The garlic bread was soft, just the way I like it. I tasted my Mom's fried fish, which was hot and yummy! And the green beans were soft, which was perfect to me. My Dad's liver and onions looked good if that's your cup of tea. He said the meat was tender. My Mom and I shared the homemade blackberry cobbler topped with ice cream. Deeeeeeliscious! I highly recommend this dessert. If you like country home cooking, this is this spot to try!

Home style cooking. Home style ambience. It's where the locals eat. Good service. Good salads. A good Reuben sandwich.

They have some really good seasonal beers and while most the fam did a sampler, hub and I opted for just a pint of what sounded the best. I got the pumpkin ale and he got a darker amber beer. Beers were really good. We decided to get the sliders with just meat and cheese and the buffalo strips. Burgers were solid, chicken was not homemade and the fries were your average fry..the buffalo sauce was the star...very good. They have only a few bathrooms in the joint and they were in need of serious attention. It was a disaster to have to take my elderly mom into a nasty bathroom like that....I am hoping they fix this. Wait staff was very good!

Bar manager looked like he was in another world and didn't really do anything besides greet people when they walked in. The burgers were great though! The fries had a nice crunch to them. Just make sure your ketchup isn't old.... Be sure to check the beer glasses before drinking, I cut my lip on mine. The rim of the glass was broken. The bathroom was also horrific. It smelled like urine and looked like it has NEVER been cleaned in years. We should have gone to the pizza place down the street.....

The wait can be 20-30 minutes during prime dinner hours, and the food wait can also be lengthy. Plan on enjoying a few hours here and don't be in a rush once you get here. Let's talk about the food. They have gluten free options and anything can be made gluten free according to the staff. They also have some vegetarian options. I love burgers, and honestly, it's hard to beat a handmade beyond smashburger. This restaurant currently does not offer another veggie substitute other than the Portobello mushroom. It was good, with the added goat cheese, but would have rather had a burger substitute with mushrooms added on top. The fries are great! Perfectly fried with golden crunch in every bite. The garlic aioli is the perfect dipping sauce. I ordered a ranch side as well and it's good, but the aioli is the best choice in my opinion. Great local restaurant with a burger for everyone.
