The ambiance and service were definitely not the greatest. But the food was outstanding! We got the Big Loafer and the Italian Loafer. My favorite was hands down the Italian! Soft fresh baked bread with ham, banana peppers, and a good amount of provolone cheese. So delicious! read more

On Friday night at 6:30 they are out food. What the heck? Too lazy to prepare more food.

Food is awesome! I recommend the pepperoni or pizza roll, they're really good. They also have slush puppies there which is a nice throwback. The staff was really nice and helpful, we got there pretty close to closing and they were more than happy to still serve us and we got a bunch of food. I really appreciated how nice they were we had a really long day and were so hungry. Nice little vintage style place I recommend! read more

Good Christian restaurant, I've never had any food there that I did not like, the best part is the homemade bread

A local tradition and unique: various fillings baked in homemade bread. I have been going my entire 36 years of life, and only the prices change; the food is simple and not for dieters, but the pepperoni roll is always delicious and the fries crispy and piping hot. I love taking non-locals to enjoy the atmosphere of the dining room, with its ancient counters, weird little stools and Bible ephemera everywhere; it's cozy! The food here is very unique and very tasty and the only reason I go back occasionally. The Italian Loaf and the Pizza Loaf are my favorites. The restaurant is a fast food restaurant located in the Huntington Mall. It has its own dining room or you can use the seating in the Huntington Mall food court. I would recommend the mall seating because the restaurant's own dining room is awful. People have carved graffiti on the wood paneling and tables. The last time I was in there it was so bad that I said that I wouldn't go back. There was old dried ketchup on tables and chairs. Yuck! read more

I uploaded pictures of the menu as of June 21, 2020. The pepperoni roll had the same exact taste as a pepperoni pretzel from Auntie Anne's, just in sandwich form with a yeasty and buttery bun. Delicious! The Italian loaf was good, but nothing really that knocked my socks off. Excellent food and great service. The atmosphere is very nice being a mall. All the food is handmade by the crew and made from scratch.

They were closed. Says online they are open till 9pm. Drove 1/2 hour to get there and they were closed at 7:22pm. Update your hours. read more

This used to be my favorite place at the mall until recently. The last 2 times we have ate here the food has changed. The sandwiches are all bread now. The filling to dough ratio has to be like 5 to 1. And the last time we ate here one of the Italian loafer sandwiches had a hair in it. The wife said she is done eating here now. When we stop in we usually get 8-10 sandwiches so we have some to take home. I really hate that this place has went down hill because I have been eating here for 35 years. read more

Big Loafer is a staple at the Huntington Mall. They make their bread fresh each day. I had the Pepperoni Roll and it was delicious. I haven't tried any other items but I will definitely return to get one of these. They also have hotdogs, pig in a blanket, and fries. Over the years their sandwiches have been an amazing treat as I travel back home. My favorite thing here is the cinnamon roll! It is made with their bread, rolled out, with lots of cinnamon and sugar and a fantastic sugar glaze. I loved buying them at the end of the day and having one the next morning with a cup of coffee. I can't wait to watch my toddler eat his first pig in a blanket from here when we go back for Christmas! They make an amazing pig in a blanket. It used to be a Cavalier (local Huntington) hot dog with a long chunk of cheese (American?) loaded into and baked into their fresh bread. My favorite sandwich is the Big Loafer with slaw and mustard with a side of extra crispy crinkle fries. The Big Loafer is a slice of their fresh meatloaf baked into their bread. This restaurant has its on seating area in the back, and the food is much better than can be expected in a mall. The bread on the sandwiches is baked to perfection. The only downside is the in your face Christianity of it all, including a bible on display in the dining room and wall paper with various quotes from the bible. I'm not kidding when I say this is my absolute favorite place to eat, hands down! You walk up to the counter and feel the aroma of hard workers and kind assistance. I've had numerous different employees take my order and every one of them have helped me and got my order spot on. I've tried the Italian loaf, which is in my top 5 there; it is the amazing Big Loafer signature bread, the hot-melted cheese, fresh banana peppers, a good slather of hot ham and then cut in half for a perfect sandwich! The fries at Big Loafer are thick and classic, the employees always ask if you desire salt and ketchup... Never say no, the three make a perfect French fry. Order a small fry for yourself or a large fry for you and a pal. Oh and yes these fries are fresh out of the fryer! Yum! Now I can't not brag over the best thing Big Loafer has to offer in my tastings, that is the Pepperoni roll. This sandwich makes my mouth water reviewing it. Of course they use the signature bread, layered on is that melted cheese (yummy) and finally the hot and large pepperonis, which they aren't shy here with those. I have yet to try the cheese loaf of which I've been dying to try but I KNOW it's amazing just like everything else on the menu of Big Loafer. This place is also quite the cute little eatery, it's old but that old that comforts you and has you coming back more and more.
