We stopped in town on a whim. I love local breweries and try to stop and get something local…read morewhenever I travel. This is a typical pub style place solid bar scene with tvs and a lot of space. We sat down for some beers and food. We ordered veggie egg rolls for an appetizer which were pretty good. The blackened chicken Alfredo was pretty good as well. Not overly cheesy like some store bought ones. Boneless chicken was normal. The fries were different. Think wedges but thin. They were crispy and seasoned. Can't complain. The flatbread was small but the flavor was there. I have to say the service wasn't good. We ordered apps. And she didn't ask if we were ever ready to order. I had to wave her down. The chicken was wrong but again still good. She didn't acknowledge it or us really. I had to literally get her attention if we wanted something. Maybe she could tell we were from out of town, but she could've made a lot more off of us if she touched base with us a couple of times. For instance. We ordered a mock tail for my daughter. She finished the drink before her food came. We wanted to order a sprite and she didn't come back until she was completely done eating. Kids don't eat very fast. I'll probably try somewhere else for food and maybe stop for a 6er on the way out of town if I come back.

Upon arrival - I note there are two establishments (maybe more?) but for sure two dining options. I chose The Barn. There was a wait on arrival at 630p on a Wednesday evening. I was assigned a wait tag (mine was #49 pictured in the photos that I added). The wait was about 15-20 mins. The place is HUGE! They offer serving hours that are posted on the door. The staff greeted me and were friendly. An ample space was provided for waiting to be seated with many options to keep folks entertained by viewing the many antiques and interesting displays or by playing games and activities provided - as well as several long, benches and other seating offered for use during the wait. The food - well let's see how that goes - that will be the next part - this first part has all been just fine! And Now - the rest of the story! The food was awesome. I got baby back ribs (full rack) corn and home fries - plus chocolate cream pie (to go). I ordered unlimited soup, salad and bread bar - the chili was amazing and sweet with good meat and beans - perfect flavor and texture. The salad bar has ample selections including side salads and fruit options/fruit salad. Everything was outstanding - including the venue the atmosphere - the service/wait staff and the food was phenomenal! Come hungry - I couldn't eat it all!

The salad bar was not really healthy as they now low fat dressing and something like craisins to add. The cornbread was amazing and the bread slices were homemade. The soup bar was not vegetarian friendly. My personal vegetable soup is much better however many people were partaking along the choices. The had chili but it would have been amazing to have a no meat option. Going on Father's day made for a longer wait, but sitting by the pond was very nice watching the fowl. The experience was great and we will return on a less busy day. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was rustic.

Only thing I would've like to see was more drink offerings; I didn't want a coffee with my burger so I opted for a Diet Coke (can). Iced tea or Lemonade would be a nice addition!

We did so and then found a booth to sit at. They have water and glasses available to serve yourself. So many drink options are available too. Next time for sure I'll try one of those. I got the beer cheese smash burger and an order of the Reuben fries they had as a special for St Patrick's Day. I didn't look at the price so I was a bit shocked when my bill was $25 for those two items. $15 for fries. It's a good thing they were delicious. I absolutely loved the burger served in a pool of cheese! For someone that loves cheese it was great to dip every bite of my burger in it. The grilled onions were cooked perfectly and the burger was fresh and quality. I also had the chance to try a couple of the cheese curds my mom had ordered with her quesadilla smash burger. They were so different from the cheese curds I'm used to getting. Cut into cubes and lightly battered. Served with a ranch dipping sauce. They were good. It may be slightly expensive but the fact it's freshly made helps ease that. The three of us were in agreement, we would definitely return. I would like to try some of their other items.
