Drive 6 miles to Gerhard Appliances Malvern to see some of their many units on display. Great service. We were quickly asked if we needed assistance. They overpromise and underdeliver, and in my experience, they delivered lower-grade models than were ordered. Call customer service. A rude person answers. Installation? We needed a new garage fridge and the one we were looking at had a lead time on other websites longer than we could wait. I called Gerhards because they had the one we wanted in stock. Bill helped me out and I mentioned that this would be a fridge for the garage. He explained that there are actually specific "garage-ready" refrigerators and freezers which I did not know! Basically, the coolant in "garage-ready" fridges can withstand a lower and higher operating temp as opposed to standard refrigerators. SO glad he shared this info, otherwise I would've shelled out hard-earned money for an inappropriate product and likely would've ended up replacing it much sooner than anticipated. He helped me to find a model that would meet our needs. This was a Tuesday and by Friday the fridge was delivered and is installed and working perfect. Bill was courteous, professional and informative. The purchasing and delivery process was seamless. Next time we're in the market for a new appliance I'll be going to/calling Gerhards. read more

If you want a company that will take your money and not provide you with the product that you purchased, shop Gerhard's! A little over a week ago, we were impacted by the storm that swept through the area and lost a couple of appliances due to a power surge. We visited Gerhard's on the recommendation of a neighbor to replace what we had lost. Upon arriving we met a salesman by the name of Frank, who was globally helpful and knowledgeable. We told him what we needed. He gave us some options. We selected and paid for our appliance. Delivery was scheduled for a week later. It was a pleasant experience and all was well with the world...until the day before delivery. The day before delivery, Frank gave us a call telling us that they didn't actually have the appliance that they sold us (and charged us) and that they didn't have any alternatives available. Not only did they not have any alternatives now, but they wouldn't have anything for us anytime soon. They literally offered no help and nothing of value as consideration for their screw up. When asked why they weren't able to tell us this at the time of purchase or anytime within the last week, they gave us some spiel about their purchasing and delivery team not knowing what that were actually going to receive until the day before install. Effectively - they sell you a product and take your money, but they don't even know if they have that product to sell you until a later date. A baffling way to run a business, in my opinion. We cancelled our order, but won't receive the funds back for another 48 - 72 hours. We have since ordered the same appliance at a cheaper price from Queen Appliance in KoP. The staff there was lovely and helpful. We should have delivery within the week. Would highly recommend over the catastrophe that was Gerhards. If that changes, I will let you know. DON'T SHOP GERHARD'S UNLESS YOU ENJOY PAYING FOR THINGS THAT YOU WON'T ACTUALLY RECEIVE. What a joke of an operation. Will never shop here again and I recommend you don't either. read more

I took delivery 09/26 of a $9000 plus range . ordered in july. Delivery was fine except both add ons from the manufacture, that were ordered incorrectly to begin with from Gerhards , did not fit. back guard and griddle. Calls very rarely returned. Promised orders not completed still. Finally after multiple contacts with Bluestar directly we understand it "should" be able to deliver this week So at best we have a range half installed that we need for Christmas dinner. I purchased a Frigidaire electric oven and have been highly dissatisfied with both the product and Gerhard's response to my issues. After only 20 months I have had two major service requirements which cost me a few hundred dollars and the only response I got from Gerhard's was "sorry" but you could have bought an extended warranty. Although I know what part I need they refuse to order it until a service rep comes out and for $130 tells me what he thinks I need. read more

I came there with measurements and pictures for a gas range. I paid $2600+ and scheduled installation 2-3 weeks later. When the installer came, he immediately saw an issue that could have been identified if they had communicated. No one contacted me to resolve it or to apologize. I contacted them and they suggested I either pay more or wait two weeks. The 'manager' was zero help. The sales person was 'off that day'. So I waited like an idiot for installation only to find out that there was one magical installer who could help. But I'd have to wait 2 weeks. The said I could pay more and maybe get a different product faster. Now I'm left wasting time and money with nothing to show for it. This company is incredibly incompetent. Just purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Gerhard's. Their staff was very helpful in the decision making process and the price was great.

I never leave reviews, but my experience with Gerhard's was so bad that I felt compelled to share with the hopes that it can prevent other people from making the same mistake I did. My simple advice: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE. Trying to support the local mom and pop businesses, I purchased a washer & dryer set during their 4th of July sales. There were 8 weeks between time of purchase and installation, so I expected no major issues with the purchase (but that was a foolish assumption). On the day of the delivery, the delivery guys showed up with just a dryer. Washing machine was not on the truck. Apparently the washer was back ordered for weeks, but Gerhard's never bothered to let me know. So instead of installing the dryer, the delivery men said they would prefer that I sort my order out and they would come back with both units at a later date. After chasing Gerhard's about the order issue over multiple days, I was finally offered an upgraded washer at no additional costs, but would have to wait an additional 3 weeks. I thought "fine, it is what it is" and decided to not make a big deal about it. Delivery guys come back 3 weeks later and install the washer and dryer. I was told I needed to test out the units by running them through "test loads". After setting them off, I came back a few hours later to discover my laundry room is covered in water. I call Gerhard's and have to wait a week until a repair man can come fix the washer. I wait 5 days, and the repair man claims there's nothing wrong with the washing machine unit, and the problem is with my plumbing. I call a plumber to take a look, and within 5 seconds of looking at the machine he laughs and tells me that the delivery men installed the washing machine drainage pipe to literally an empty hole in the wall. So the machine was dumping water in an empty hole behind my wall and it was settling on the ground and never draining. Long story short: - DON'T GO HERE. - SERIOUSLY, DON'T GO HERE - delayed installation multiple weeks due to poor communication skills - appliances were installed late and incorrectly which lead to water damage - gerhard repair man incorrectly identified the "issue" but was actually wrong, requiring a plumber to come out and fix the installation issue. read more

We were looking to replace an old beverage refrigerator and while we could not find the exact model we had researched and decided on anywhere, our salesperson Nicole showed us similar models, answered a ton of questions, printed off spec sheets for us, and ordered our new refrigerator. Was promised by store sales agent that I would be allowed time to clean my laundry room floor after 20 years of dust, etc.. the 2 young men were extremely rude, they kept opening my kitchen door letting bugs in and telling me "times up", "we have places to go", I was appalled at their lack of manners and patience. They should be working in a drive through somewhere not treating customers so rudely and acting so unprofessional!! I called the store to complain and no follow up from any management. We went shopping for appliances on a weekend with our 5 year old. We wanted a refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven. I'm pretty sure my five year old had more energy and sales knowledge than the person working there. All that person did was give us printouts of some specs for those items. We eventually decided to just go with it, made the purchase and were told that we would have the items all by early to mid April. April is almost over. I called and was told we were looking at late May or even mid June. I was told our sales person would call within a few days to try to see if there was some kind of real update. A week and a half later, I'm still waiting. We went shopping at another place this past weekend and picked out other stuff. I tried to call on Saturday to the customer service department at Gerhard's, but they were closed on weekends. Of course they were. I sent an email instead, and now it's Tuesday with no response. I called to cancel the order entirely and got transferred twice and finally they said it would be sent to their accounting department for cancellation. I asked for that in writing - they said "no problem". Still nothing. They just don't care. At all. We ended up going with a different place that was slightly more money mostly because the sales lady was actually a human being rather than a warm body who agreed to show up. read more

Have ordered all of our appliances from gerhard's and no real issues except when they recommended their appliance repair company-- fast appliance repair. The worst experience I have ever had. No updates on ordered part, parts back ordered taking weeks longer than expected. When called to get model numbers of different part numbers so I could order through LG many representatives were rude and got different answers from many. Something that should be a quick fix has turned into a big headache. read more

I would never recommend Gerhard's. We bought a $1500 Miele dishwasher from here and it was an awful experience. It wasn't properly installed after waiting almost a month for the dishwasher. It was floating in space and one screwed was used to install. A second contractor came out to fix installation and told us we should have bought a different brand. After three weeks, dishwasher isn't draining and Gerhards told us to call manufacturer abs it's our problem. So frustrated and Covid is not reason for poor service. Do not use Gerhards! So many better companies out there that provide better service. They sold us a dishwasher they don't service and don't schedule the service. Very disappointed. read more

We have bought all of our major appliances from Gerhard's and have always been happy. When it was time to replace our 20 year old built-in Sub Zero refrigerator, we paid over $10,000 for one of the only brands and models (GE) that would fit our existing cabinetry. We then waited 8 months because of supply chain issues. (Not Gerhard's fault.) When it finally came in, the installers could not get it to fit. I had to run around finding tools in my basement to shave down our cabinetry and saw into molding. Not kidding. It took hours. They finally wedged it in and all looked okay, until it popped out one week later and buckled the cabinetry. I took pictures and followed up with our sales associate (Linda Gerhard in Malvern) and so began months of being told she would get right back to us with no reply. Over and over. It's all documented. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. We never got past "I reached out to the Delivery Manager" or "Contracting Department can't find your pictures, please send again." My experience with Gerhard's was so so. Our salesperson Linda was very friendly and helpful! The delivery team was good, however there were a lot of things left inside the GE Profile fridge that I think should have been removed before the fridge was installed and plugged in. It was left for me to take out and while I did I had to keep the doors open so between doing that and then reloading it the doors were probably open for an hour which delayed how long it took to get to a normal operating temp. read more

DON'T BE FOOLED... Being a new home owner not wanting to go to a big box store we decided to go to Gerhard's appliances and our first interaction in the show room was great and that's when we fell for it. After that first experience it has been a nightmare working with this company. 1st an ice maker we ordered was not installed prior to delivery as promised and paid for. It took two more trips for their service team to come to our house to tell us the sales rep had ordered the wrong part. Then was another few weeks to be reimbursed. The Stove we purchased had a strong gas smell that we thought was just from being new unfortunately we were wrong there too. After about a month of no chance we called to have it service turns out they installed a stove meant for natural gas on propane without the proper adjustments, and guess what that will be another day to have them come fix it since they had to order the parts. How does an appliance company go about installing something they know is incorrect and not say anything. I reached out to the company multiple times prior to this review and have received no response from them. Don't be like us and don't be fooled go find a reputable business to spend your money. Bad experience! My husband ordered a washer and dryer from Gerhard's appliances. We placed the order on or about July 4, 2020. During the end of July, we received a call regarding delivery. On delivery day the store called to inform us that the "Washer" was damaged. The representative told us they had to get another washer for us. A couple of days later, they delivered a washer, but no dryer. The store never called to explain why they didn't deliver the dryer. This went on for awhile, the dryer was never delivered. We got so frustrated after thirty days waiting, we canceled the order. We found another appliance store, Appliance Alliance, they delivered the same dryer in less than a week. We do not recommend Gerhard !!!!! read more

The sales person and the delivery person were knowledgeable, responsive, and made the whole process of replacing the family wash machine painless! We enjoyed our experience at Gerhard's Appliance last week. We settled on a Frigidairre Induction stove after talking about options with Nicole. She was very helpful. We were out a stove so their delivery time promise was much appreciated and beat the local big box stores by weeks. The stove was delivered 4 days later by Edmund and his assistant. They were masterful; so efficient. The only discouragement is that the push buttons on the stove don't work well at all and that is frustrating. I wish I had been told about that product deficiency because now I have to deal with it every day. read more

We recently purchased a dryer from Gerhards. The product was not of good quality. We called within 24 hours after installation. We were told that it could not be exchanged or upgraded after delivery. The salesman was suppose to calls us back to see if he could help us-but he never responded. Gerhard has horrible customer service. The Store Manager started the process by emailing me quickly after my many initial questions about their clothes washer models available and in stock. She was clear, direct, and friendly. She answered all of my emailed questions very quickly. Then, after I had made my decision, she helped me with the delivery date and installation questions that I had. Then, Gerhard's team delivered and installed the LG clothes washer on time, kept me informed on delivery day, and also delivered and installed an LG pedestal mini-washer that we also purchased, all at the same time. The team were also very friendly, showed up on time, and answered all questions that I had during installation. So, from pre-sales, to payment, to delivery and installation, EVERYONE at Gerhard's, from the Store Manager to the Delivery and Installation team was GREAT! I highly recommend them, and will use them going forward for any future purchases, as well. read more

I have been to Gerhards 2 times in the past month. I was looking to buy a Refrigerator, Gas Range, Microwave and Dishwasher. I have to say that the service I received was horrible. I asked for a package price for the appliances. The first time, I was told that someone would put together a quote and call me. Needless to say, I was never contacted. I went again today. I asked the salesperson for a package deal on an LG suite of appliances. He went off and came back a few minutes later with all of these different printouts for Frigidaire....a brand I had no interest in. Have used Gerhard for many appliance replacements over the years, washers, dryers, dishwasher, grills and a Sub-Zero refridge. Went in to replace all kitchen appliances except fridge. Dealt with the same person I have for 10+ years, until now extremely helpful. I had heard of horror stories about the terrible customer service and I came to find that out first hand. But 5 stars for Sally, who made both purchases a truly rare experience. She was friendly, helpful, professional, sent the receipt and paid invoice immediately, and was plain old nice! Greatly appreciated the purchase experience when all I seem to deal with are rude, snotty, unhelpful salespersons that don't follow through.
