He's also changed his mind about some issues based on the latest research, which frankly is uncommon with medical professionals. I never felt any pressure or upselling. He does have the latest machines, but I see them as being to my benefit, for example he has a machine where he can detect macular degeneration and get color images of it. My only complaint is that he's older than I am, so at some point he'll retire and I'll have to find a new eye doctor. Went through that with dentists a couple of times already...

The Prescription is the deliverable patients get to do the Eye Exam and that is what we paid for. We called back and they said that is how they do Eye Exam here. They have to charge us for the fitting, before writing a prescription, whereas it is unnecessary as we did Eye Exams every year and nobody is doing this! Both me and wife have got our content lens for years, and we told the Doctor our current contact lens size etc. Excessive billing is throughout the healthcare system and we are disappointed this provider charges for services not only unnecessary but also they did not perform it. We will write a review also in VSP to remind of people - look for another provider! Plus - we tried to look up the Doctor's name in American Academy of Ophthalmologists, and could not even find the name there! PS: - just saw the horrible responses from the Provider on Jan 23 below! When I received the glasses and I couldn't see out of them, I found out from a subsequent visit to my orthoptist and another optician that both pair of glasses we made incorrectly and that the prescription in one pair was way off. When I contacted Eyes on Hudson about the issues, my concerns were met with exasperation and an overall unwillingness to work with me. I have since gone to another optician who specializes in difficult prescriptions. Perhaps Eyes on Hudson is very good for general glasses. But I would not recommend the business if one has any special needs.
