Shaky....double check their confirmation of your eye exam insurance coverage. Insurance info coverage, provided when scheduling exam, re 2 different vision policies, were plans they offered as acceptable. At exam, they denied both insurance plans, so wound up paying out of pocket at last minute. Shopping for glasses there, and elsewhere, somehow always feels like you're in a new car showroom negotiating with that stereotypical car salesperson, especially if you haven't done your new car research. You always feel something's not quite right, suddenly very expensive, over-priced, as they apply your vision/eyeglass insurance coverage to chosen frames and lenses. Double check everything. Why is it so hard to find optical providers/facilities who leave you feeling good about the whole process. read more

WOW, these guys totally surpassed my expectations. The optometrist was professional and efficient. But who stood out most was my own personal eye care assistant Cindy, who was incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful in picking out a flattering frame from the HUGE selection they offer. I've been coming here for a couple of years now and most of the time their nice people. But I called to ask them a question about a prescription and the lady was so rude and unpleasant. I was very nice and said thankyou and she hung up on me. Very rude. Their are some people I like there but it's so uncomfortable trying to be a patient and their extremely rude. BE WARNED! Although County Optical has nice people at the front desk, the gentleman (I use the word lightly) that manages the shop is unethical and shameless in his business practices. DO NOT leave them any kind of deposit they will claim is refundable. I was urged to try contacts after stating in my exam that I have a torn cornea and contacts aggravate it. Regardless I was urged to try a FREE trial test packet at NO RISK. I was charged $155 deposit to be used later to order the contacts by phone. I was told the deposit was 100% refundable by the manager himself. Needless to say, the trial set of contacts tore by cornea open which lead to another visit in the exam room where I was urged to try another pair and told to give it time for the discomfort to subside. Why were they pushing me to keep trying when I kept asking for my refund? It was very suspicious. A third visit to their shop and a phone call to the manager followed and the manager told me the best he could do is give me a $30.00 store credit. I demanded my $155 to be refunded. The manager told me if I came into his store and requested my refund that he would call the police and have me arrested! This man is unethical and fraudulent. I URGE YOU TO SEEK EYE CARE ELSEWHERE! County Opticals Manager does not care about their patients. He is a THIEF. READ THE REVIEWS. THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY! read more

Brought in a pair of glasses that were purchased less that a year ago. I need to get the arm fixed. The woman behind the county called me a liar, saying glasses were very old ( I have proof of purchase ) . She was extremely nasty , Even after I told her I would not come back she did not even care just made a scene. read more

Was visiting this Optical for Years and never had a problem, but i have to say the last two visits left me very disappointed. Ladies in the front are very rude and unprofessional. Not going back anytime soon. Switched to a different optical. I definitely would not recommend this Place. read more

It was my first time using County Optical the gentelman Kyle who assisted me got me the eye exam fixed what i originally came into the store for and sold me a new pair of glasses he was great and i felt comfortable about his knowledge.. The first pair he picked up was the ones i ended up purchasing after trying on about 10 other pair. now comes the different kind of lenses and the $$$ part so as he figured it all out and explained the difference i went with the better of the two....Lets just say i can see the world a lot clearer now LOL what a great choice. He did say that the order would take 7 days but when i called the day before the person answering the phone stated that they wasnt in and it would take almost 7 more days to get, not happy about that i was gonna go in for a refund the next day then Kyle offered to mail them to wherever i was going to be but then decided to just wait and have someone else pick them up, the very next day Kyle called me and told me that they was in and said if you want to come in for them or i could send them to you since my trip had gotten delayed i went in and lets just say Good Things Do Come to Those Who Wait.. and they where worth the wait!!
