THE BEST FOOD!!! There is a picture of Guy Fieri on the wall here for GOOD REASON!!! The biria egg rolls were fantastic, and rooster chicken sandwich superb - with perfect seasoned fries done in fresh canola oil, giving that perfect crispy crunch! Excellent sauces - I tried several :) Simple diner-style place - it was raining so I was inside. Here 4 yrs now as of July 26. Great strawberry lemonade too! Price was healthy, but it was worth it - will definitely go again next time I am in town!

We used Germain's to cater a small graduation party. The process was seamless and the staff were professional. Our order was packed and ready to go on time. We had no spills or leaks on the drive home! The chicken fingers and sauce were gobbled up quick and the Brussel sprouts disappeared before we could toss in the parmesan. The sprouts are amazing! Thank you, Germain's!

I visited Germain's for lunch a few days ago and tried the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. A soft bun was filled with meaty tender juicy chicken strips smothered in a sweet and spicy Korean barbecue sauce, crisp kimchi and tangy pickles. The side of fries were thin and crisp and covered in flavorful ranch seasoning. Overall, a delicious meal.

Checking out UF and found this amazing place. Casual and fast service but doesn't sacrifice the taste and quality of food. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The chicken sandwiches were not greasy and not heavily breaded. The sauce for the honey bird was on the sweet side but satisfying. The hot honey wings and garlic parmesan were tasty too. The Brussels Caesar salad was a good complement to my wings. Their lemonade and flavored tea was amazing as well.

We usually come to Germain's for their chicken sandwiches at lunch or dinner, but decided to check out their Sunday Brunch (they only do it on the 3rd Sunday of every month). Totally worth it. The chicken and waffles were the best thing we had. Chicken was hot, crispy, and juicy, and the brown butter syrup on top was amazing. The mochi waffle had a chewy texture that was different but really good. Favorite thing on the menu for sure. The steak sando was huge and super filling. Tender ribeye with chili mayo, caramelized onions, arugula, and sun-dried tomato spread. Kinda reminded me of a roast beef sandwich but way more flavorful. Fries on the side were perfect too. Tried the Peaky Keen mocktail with peach flavors and a tajín + chamoy rim. Tasted good but way too much ice and not enough drink. The lemon ricotta pancakes were massive. Fluffy with crispy edges, and the limoncello honey syrup was delicious without being too sweet. Definitely had to take some home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brunch was busy but fun. They have little games at the bar like tic-tac-toe and hook and ring which made it more chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and food came out in less than 10 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating's good, but a lot of it is sunny unless you grab a shaded spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, really enjoyed it and would come back for brunch again.

The best chicken sandwich place in Gainesville! My husband and I always have our date nights in Gainesville and and try new restaurants. Its very rare we repeat a restaurants but Germain's just hits every single time. We have come here multiple times and every time the quality and flavor is always there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love the aesthetic look that they have inside the restaurant but also a more relaxed option outside at the picnic tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food always comes out quickly, even when they are slammed. We always get the chicken sandwiches but this time we tried the chicken wings and the Katsu salad. The crisp on the chicken wings were great and the sauces that they have are always so full of flavor.

We had to stop here after seeing it on DDD with Guy Fieri. It didn't disappoint! Best chicken tenders ever and sandwich was solid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food came out fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good atmosphere, good prices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back!

Another trip another local spot. I have the opportunity to enjoy lunch here. It was probably about 3/4 full at the time of my visit and my party was about five people. The food came out a little slow, but they just got hit with a rush while we got there. The food was very good and nice and hot. It's worth a stop if you were in the area.

I visited Germain's after a recommendation from my specialty doctor at Shands. I was a bit overwhelmed when I walked in and looked at the menu because the various flavors of chicken tenders looked tempting, but so did the options for chicken sandwiches. The lady at the counter got me with the recommendation to try the garlic parm-style chicken sandwich. I must say it was a great choice! Not only does it come with garlic parm sauce, but it is also adorned with their special sauce (think Big Mac sauce), tomato, lettuce, and topped off with a bread and butter pickle. Normally I do not love bread and butter pickles because I am a dill pickle or spicy pickle girl, but those lovely chips were the perfect way to top off this sandwich. I was able to finish the sandwich (look at how large it is in the picture) but was only able to eat about 1/4 of the fabulously flavored fries. They had herbs and spices topping them that I could not nail down but who cares because they were fresh and delicious! I also drank a passion fruit sweet tea, which was recommended by the server at the counter. It tasted more like juice than tea, but I was able to try it before I bought it and if it is a staple, I recommend it. My husband got a light lager to accompany his giant classic chicken sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has cute modern stylings and a cute covered outdoor area with large checkers that can be played atop a blanket board.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am recommending my friends and family should stop here when they are passing through or visiting because it is worth the 15 or so minutes off the highway.

First time in Gainesville and had to try Germain's! I think this might be the best chicken sandwich I've had to date and the ranch fries are the perfect crispy to fluffy ratio. So flavorful and delicious. The staff is very nice and quick to serve. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even when busy it's not too loud and still feel welcome to hang out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was nice. We needed Gluten Free and we got it!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean, the service was good, and the food was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only advice is: top off those beers!!! We had a nice dinner at Germain's.

    Cool shirt!

The food was pretty good! The French fries the sandwiches came with were good too. They are an interesting flavor, with a ranch twist. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even gave our dog a couple of Milk Bones and water which was nice too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor was nice on the inside and had an outdoor patio to sit at too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is the middle of a heat wave and they had fans going outside too which was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a bit expensive, but not totally unreasonable.

Parking is a challenge, but we parked elsewhere and walked over there. The smell of the delicious burgers had me drooling! Our order came out pretty quickly and we enjoyed watching the kids run around excitedly and play the various games, whether it was skee ball, pinball, driving courses, riding the motorized animals...kids enjoy the most basic things to the maximum! Great idea for families! Nice park frontage, walking paths, etc. I'm going to have to tell my daughter in law to bring the kids here next time. They'd LOVE IT! The Goldie Burger was fantastic. They do have vegan options as well, so don't fret! Tots, fries and onion rings are excellent sides for your sandwich. The fella at the front counter was beyond pleasant, helpful, friendly and very attentive to every patron. Even went so far as to give extra free tokens to one family with 3 little ones since they spent so much there on their meals. I gave out free tokens to a lithe younger girl who was wearing what used to be my favorite sneakers growing up...Converse All-Stars! She had her mouth hanging open for a few minutes while mom said thank you for her...hey, old people don't place much arcade games I told them.... So enjoy! Great family spot with the kids to run off that excess energy and have fun. We enjoyed the food and the scenery.

Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

Beautiful day so we sat outside in a lovely patio area. Great beer menu with draughts imported or domestic as well as a full bar. The menu was pretty much standard bar fare I had fish and chips and my wife had Mac and cheese. The fries on my plate were covered in salt. I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. I would go back again but knowing that I would order SALT FREE !!

It's kind of deceptive at the street, you'll see their name on the sign out front, but there's nothing telling you to drive BETWEEN Chipotle and the weed dispensary towards the back and beat to your right. RELISH is at the end, but there's TONS of parking and I appreciate that. Went inside and since I'd never been there before, I thought one of the women that were there would at least help me out, but the one young girl must've been on her way out the door because she was asking me if I was ordering chicken...I was confused. I said no, but then she asked me if I was picking up an order and I answered no to this as well...and then said I hadn't even ordered yet. Took me repeating this twice for her to understand me. I get it. It's small, lots of sizzling sounds and fryer sounds and then there's music playing ( I'm assuming) as well...all this makes it a little hard to hear. Finally placed my order. I got a double patty cheeseburger. Onion rings. And so the short wait began...one of the fellas at the grill asked me what I wanted on my burger...you choose exactly what sauces or lack thereof you want! Done right in front of you so you can ask for more or less...garlic aoli? Wow! Who knew? I'm missing BurgerFi less right about now! If you want grilled mushrooms or grilled onions or if you want them raw or bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, different cheeses, jalapeños, (bacon is extra though as is a fried egg), banana peppers, just like a subway! I'm a mayo and A1 lover with lots of pickles and one tomato...but decided to try it with the GRILLED onions. I'm getting that again! Absolutely fantastic and done EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I have to say that their pickles are superb because of the crunch factor. So many places will give you pickles and they're little scrawny floppy excuses for a pickle. Also, you go somewhere else and you get a double because their patties are so thin...NOT HERE! You get what you pay for. Tomato slices? Not paper thin like the other places...not barely there. Nice thick juicy slices! I have to mention their buns. I would be remiss if I passed by this topic and didn't touch on it. I don't know where they buy them from or if they make them, but they are absolutely superb. Soft and tender to the bite, but hold up so well and don't fall apart. I like that. Like a cornmeal dusting on top too. Old fashioned but so so good. Just not enough bun to burger ratio. Way too much burger -- and I never thought I'd ever say that! The fellas were so nice, cooked my food to perfection and I can't say I have not the slightest complaint about anything regarding this restaurant. Decent amount of food for the money compared to other places and the quality is definitely there. Worth every penny in my opinion. This place has just now moved into my favorite spot that was left vacated when they took away my BurgerFi. And if you haven't tried them...YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

The broccoli was brought out about 5-7 minutes after my wings, but not an issue. My daughter ordered a burger with no cheese with lettuce and tomato. The burger came out with just meat and bun. No worries - Maddie was on it to get the items and bring them out. When the lettuce was brought out there were bugs - not just 1 or 2, but like 8-10 fruit fly type bugs crawling around the lettuce. Maddie immediately apologies and we wanted to tell them so they didn't serve it out to anyone else. She said she told her manager and they would be coming by. They never did. We had twins there celebrating a birthday and we wanted to celebrate. We were told they could only do one free dessert. No problem - happy to pay for one so they could both celebrate, but the manager was going to come out to talk to us. The check was brought to the table and still no manager. I would not stop back in at this location which is unfortunate since the servers do their best to help and get what is needed, but managers not seem to want to do much. We never once yelled or requested anything except to speak with a manager to make sure no one else would get served with bugs.

We also ordered a couple of fountain drinks. The gyro meat was well seasoned and tender. The Greek salad was quite good. The chicken souvlaki, however, seemed to lack flavor and a bit dry. Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.

There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, which is a plus. However, when we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for a table, and it quickly turned chaotic. One woman tried to cut the line, and another wanted to argue over a small booth that her family wouldn't have even fit in. Eventually, we were seated. I understand that holidays can be busy, so we were trying to be patient. Our waiter came over, dropped off menus, said "I'll be right back," and disappeared. After 25 minutes of waiting at the table, I had to flag down another waitress. Meanwhile, at least three tables that were seated after us already had drinks and had placed their food orders. I understand being busy, but at the very least, we should have been greeted or offered drinks. The waitress we flagged down said she would help us, which seemed promising at first, but then we waited another 20 minutes just for drinks. I'm not sure if it was an understaffing issue or something else, but the service was extremely poor. We considered leaving a one-star review, but the waitress did seem like she was trying. The food was okay, we ordered light items, and it still took quite a while to arrive. Overall, we would recommend skipping this place.
