I brought my car for a routine B service that my mercedes dashboard said I was due for. I made an appointment and had a drop off time. The owner's wife ( sorry I should have asked your name) greeted me with a smile and with kindness. I told what the car was due for and she knew exactly what I was talking about. I went to the park diner and had breakfast and from there went to the local library to read and go on my ipad. About 1 and 1/2 hours later got a call that the car was done. Went back and Was greeted again by Toby the owner's dog,a handsome white dog. Just as friendly as the owners. This shop is reliable and had reasonable prices. I will definitely be using them again. So happy to find a good mechanic. read more

This old-school shop is a little gem. I had a Bosch Fuel Injection issue - a troubleshoot and repair that few can master. My brother recently brought his car here to chase down an FI gremlin. It was repaired to spec. Recently, I had a similar issue, brought my car and it was also repaired properly at a fair price. What else can you ask for ? I live in New York City and I have been going to German Auto Repair Technicians for some 20 years. First, for my VW Jetta which Ken, the owner, and a Certified Porsche Technician had serviced for some 205,000 miles until we sold it. Ken kept it running perfectly for all those years. Currently, my 2006 Porsche Carrera has been under Ken's watchful eye and will soon reach 75,000 miles. Except for one really complicated issue which Ken recently diagnosed and repaired to exacting Porsche standards, (I mean it is a Porsche)  the car runs perfectly.    If you have a Porsche or other German car, you might want to call Susan (the office manager) and make an appointment. Let me put it to you plainly: Don't bother taking your car anywhere else. I have been taking my MINI and Audi to German Auto Repair Technicians for about 10 years now-and for good reason. Ken (technician) and Susan (office manager) are exceptional professionals- flexible, knowledgeable, no-nonsense and actually, altogether great people. We live in Manhattan and have used other mechanics who didn't know what they were doing, gave us incorrect information, never quite got the repair right... etc. Dealerships especially would consistently find superfluous work to be done on the cars and charge handsomely for it! HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE are two key qualities in entrusting someone to service your car. Ken and Susan have got it! Ken quickly identifies the problem, fixes the problem (no matter how complex-he's done it all!) and keeps our cars running safely and beautifully! Susan is very communicative and books within reasonable parameters of this busy shop, lets you know how much the job will cost, and promptly informs you when the job is completed. Great work, great price. Ken is a excellent mechanic with up to date equipment and the knowledge to use it. While he worked on my car found a couple of minor items in other areas and called me with an update and cost estimate to fix it. Don't expect coffee and a fancy waiting room....just a highly qualified shop with the ability to repair and maintain your German car at a great price. read more

Wow, I can sympathize with Doug D. Got there right on time, door locked, no one around and only the recorded message on the telephone. Owner finally shows up, no apology, no acknowledgement that I'm even standing there. I didn't like what I was seeing, so I left. Couldn't get another appointment elsewhere, so a day was wasted. read more
