Brent was very quick to point out that I declined the extended warranty that was offered to me when I purchased the car, of which I cannot find any proof of in my paperwork. In addition, I have never heard from anyone from Sewell Corporate. I will never purchase another vehicle from Sewell. Their pricing is higher than other dealerships because of the Sewell name and reputation however, that is just false advertisement because they do not stand behind their product. NEVER AGAIN! In 2024, I purchased a used, one owner, 2017 Cadillac XTS Luxury with only 37,700 miles. The vehicle appeared to be in excellent condition, and although it was not a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, I believed that a vehicle sold by Sewell would have been thoroughly inspected and would be in excellent mechanical condition. Unfortunately, during the two years I have owned the vehicle, I have spent more than $4,600 on repairs and maintenance, all performed at Sewell Cadillac. Considering the purchase price of $22,998, these expenses represent more than 20% of the cost of the vehicle, which I believe is excessive for a low-mileage luxury car purchased from a dealership with Sewell's reputation. I am extremely disappointed by the number and cost of repairs I have experienced in only two years of ownership. SUMMARY OF REPAIRS AND SERVICE HISTORY July 3, 2024 - Less than two weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I noticed a significant vibration in the front end while driving on the highway. I initially brought the vehicle to Sewell, but I was told that nothing was wrong. After returning with the same complaint, another technician confirmed the vibration and replaced the right front CV axle shaft. Fortunately, Sewell covered this repair, as it should have been identified during the vehicle's pre-sale inspection. September 6, 2024 - The Check Engine light illuminated. The technician diagnosed a faulty EVAP purge valve, and the repair cost $458.22. October 16, 2024 - I discovered that one of the reverse lights had burned out, making it difficult to see while backing up at night. The repair cost $50.00. April 21, 2025 - Routine maintenance consisting of an oil change and tire balancing. Cost: $206.35. February 26, 2026 - Routine maintenance consisting of an oil change and tire balancing. Cost: $206.35. April 4, 2026 - At highway speeds above 45 mph, the vehicle developed a severe vibration. Sewell determined that all four tires were out of balance, indicating they had not been properly balanced during the previous maintenance visit in February. The tires were rebalanced at no charge. May 19, 2026 - The air conditioning suddenly stopped working and was blowing only hot air. Sewell diagnosed a failed A/C compressor that required replacement. Because I had no practical alternative, I authorized the repair at a cost of $3,150.06. For comparison, I obtained an estimate from Christian Brothers Automotive in North Dallas for the same repair. Their estimate was $2,479.33. The parts pricing was nearly identical, but their labor was more than $400 less, and they did not charge a separate $360 fee to evacuate and recharge the A/C system, as Sewell did. June 15, 2026 - The vehicle had become increasingly slow to start, and one morning it started roughly while multiple warning lights flashed and several vehicle settings--including the driver's seat position, steering wheel position, and climate control settings--reset themselves. Sewell diagnosed a failing battery and recommended replacement. The repair cost $361.52.

The Dallas Better Business Bureau recently notified me that they have approved my complaint against One World Cars, and that it is now on file for public view. June 17, 2017. I have two active complaints for fraud and extortion with the Texas Attorney General (Complaint No: CGS-62983) and the Texas Motor Vehicle Division (Dealer No: P126266) against One World Cars and its owners Amad and Chin Ismail. The car I paid cash for was filthy , sold with a bad bearing, cracked brake hoses, worn-out tires, and dirty oil. I needed a car ASAP so I bought it. It took me 12 weeks to receive title for the 2007 Volvo XC vV70 car I paid Amad and Chin Ismail over $7,000 cash for. Even after my title had been returned to Amad and Chin because they used an incorrect mailing address , they still refused to deliver title until I agreed to allow them to keep a $90 overpayment I had mistakenly made on my cashier's check for the car. During the 6 weeks my title was lost in the mail, Chin refused to help and told me to apply for a lost title myself which I did, and received a letter 30 days later from MVD that stated they could not reissue "my" title since Chin and Amad had never put the title in my name. For 10 weeks after paying cash for the car, I was unable to register it. By the time the MVD forced Chin and Amad to convey title to me, my temp tag had been expired 30 days. Chin suggested in well-documented text messages that my alternative would be to drive from Santa Fe to Dallas and pick it up myself. All of the text and email messages conveyed to me regarding my purchase by One World Cars and its fraudulent owners Amad and Chin Ismail, have been saved and are available for view by request.

However I have to say the service team: specifically Victor and Perry (Service Mgr) were great throughout it all. I will say at first I was a bit annoyed because I had an appt scheduled one day and the people on the phone told me incorrect information when making my appt. so I wasted my time to go out there in the middle of my workday for no reason. Only to get there and then tell me I couldn't have it re-programmed. Where some places would've probably just programmed and may have left you stuck. As Mazda vehicles require 2 "good keys" to reprogram, and one the process is started it deems your vehicle immobile if it doesn't pair. Victor and Perry took the time to explain to me the chances of the other key not programming and all my various options and costs associated with it, so I could make the best decision for myself on what I wanted to do. Victor and Perry kept me updated throughout the whole process, and thankfully it all worked out. What I appreciated besides the communication with Perry and Victor is the fact that they took the time to explain in lamens terms the whole scenario and possible consequences of them doing the programming. I know some places definitely would've just gone ahead and if it didn't work, forced you to buy the Mazda mfctr key through them which is like $300. I also chatted with some of the sales guys while there, and they weren't pushy just talked about the feature of my car versus some of the other models. Greg, the service advisor, even entered the promise date in the system as 7/31 at 3 pm. I got no communication since then and when I went to pick up the car this morning, 8/3 at 8 am on my way to work, Greg, asked me why I came to pick up the car as it is not serviced yet and in fact, it is not even in the queue to be serviced yet. He didn't even offer a loaner car to alleviate the painful situation. It was a rude and hugely disappointing service. I guess familiarity breeds contempt and Greg wanted to keep a familiar, long time customer waiting while prioritizing others. He talks nicely but has poor follow-through. I hope the other service advisors are more professional but I don't have the time to find out. I will be taking it to another dealership for warranty work and routine service from now.
