I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.

We had AC issues with water in the floorboards. We were initially told it would be a quick repair and they would only need it a day or so. They called and told use it was a seal and that it would cost between $500-750 to repair. Three days later they still haven't repaired the car and now say there might be other issues with the AC. I told them to put it back together and do not repair it and we wanted the car back. They were angry but I felt something was not right about the entire thing. We searched for months afterwards and came across Smith's Imported Car Service. Arranged a day to drop it off. Four hours after dropping it off they call and tell us it's ready and it will be $80 which included them replacing the battery in the key fob! Don't get ripped of or treated badly.....simply go to Smith's Imported Car Service and save yourself time and money!!!!!! We will be back there for all our service needs!

They noticed that my back tire was wobbly (not the official phrasing but the gist) -- something they could not repair and that I should not drive on. I called a mechanic close to Costco, who kind of shrugged me off because they couldn't get me in that day. I then called ImportDoktor (should have been my first call!). They also didn't have availability but told me how they could tow it to their shop for $125 and get on it in the morning. They were so friendly and helpful that I went with them. From there, they were great about communicating with me, sending me quotes via text. They were able to finish it the next day and left my car ready for me to pick up. As much of a headache as this experience was, ImportDoktor made it as smooth as it could be. Now my car doesn't make the same worrisome noises that it was before.
