I have been using German Precision Auto for years now- Ali has been awesome in keeping my TDI alive and in top form. Things he's worked on over the years for me- timing belt/water pump replacement, shocks/struts replacement (with taller, stiffer springs as well), a fueling issue, corrected with a software update, a clutch job, a couple of sensors needing replacement to resolve warning lights. I know I can always stop by for a few minutes to get advice on things I can do myself, simple stuff really, but for anything requiring more expertise, Ali's the man. Factory-trained in Germany, few mechanics have his broad base of knowledge, and fewer still will work on the mighty TDIs anymore. His passion for all things VW is evident, and he even ran me home after I dropped off my car and it was going to take longer than expected. I can't say enough great things about this mechanic shop! Ali, the owner, knows his stuff. He recently worked on my Audi A4, which needed all kinds of work. My car came in just needing a new starter but I had mentioned to him that my check engine light was on and he hooked it up and found out that there was more wrong with my car. Unaware of the amount of issues going on with my car, Ali took the time to go over every detail that my car needed work on and explained to me how he would go about fixing these issues to make sure it was running tip top. Even with the amount of work he had to do, Ali had my car ready in no time. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. Ali is awesome. I take my 2012 Jetta to get fixed/maintenance to Ali every time. Someone quoted me for a leak in my oil pan as $1700. Ali took the actual time to look at it and he saw it was a stripped screw and replaced it on the spot. He's good at what he does. I cannot say enough about how great this shop is! My daughter and I brought our Mini Cooper here (German BMW engine) unaware that this shop specialized in Audi and VW. Rather than just send us on our way, Ali, the owner, put his ECM on the car and determined the issues and helped us find a shop that can help with the car. He spent 30 minutes explaining the issues and assisting us. May need to get an Audi or VW just so I can have such and honest, caring and trustworthy person work on it! Has been helpful so far. 2003 GTI which was stuck in reverse. Will update once diagnosis and repair are complete. 08/22 - Alireza has been helpful throughout the process. I can tell he enjoys working on VWs. I ended up selling the vehicle to Alireza the shop owner/mechanic. It had transmission troubles - synchronizer out. Due to the cost of labor it didn't make sense for me to repair it. But since he only incurs parts costs financially it makes sense for him to repair and keep or resale it. I'm happy 20AE #2429 has found a good home. It's original port of entry was Houston after all. read more

I brought my 2014 Jetta to Ali for it's 60,000 mile service. When I first called him about bringing it in, I had several questions and he was more than eager to not only answer them, but explain everything in detail. And in a way I actually understood. I could tell his passion was to do the best job he could and there was no question that I wanted to bring my car to him vs the dealer. And I was definitely right. He exceeded my expectations for the service and had my car ready in less than 2 days. He even stayed late so that I could drop it off and pick it up around my work schedule. I brought my car here after a friend recommended the place because he knew the owners. My ball joints were squeaking bad and my oil was leaking out within the span of a few months. The owners were extremely informative and helpful, as well as honest. After having some other auto body shop (which I will not name) quote me thousands of dollars for the two repairs as full replacements, my car was completely fix up for under $200. Took my 2004 Jetta to have the timing belt and transmission fluid changed. I asked Ali more than once if he was going to put a 100K timing belt in my car, and I was told yes every time I asked. Ali also told me that he could change the transmission fluid in my car. Went to pick up my car and the belt was only a 60k belt which Ali told me is all that was made for my car and that my transmission fluid could not be changed. I disputed the charge with my cc company, but lost the dispute due to more of Ali's lies. He told the cc company that there was never anything said about a 100k belt, and that there is not a 100k belt for the car. He also told them that I declined the transmission fluid change. Now I have to drive back to Houston (3 hours from me, no VW TDI mechanics closer) to get my transmission fluid changed, and I have to spend 800-1000 again to get my timing belt changed 40,000 miles sooner than planned. The parts for a 100k belt are only $15-20 more than the 60k belt it is the labor that is the expensive part. I would never take any car to W auto works ever again. read more

Same review as everyone else. Keaton is straight up a crook and a liar. I brought my care in for a routine timing belt change. Thousands of dollars later and 6 weeks I finally got my car back. Things seem to keep breaking and needing repaired the longer he kept it... I drove the car away and not 20 yards later it died. Bent valves from a shit timing job he just charged me for! Never got my money back, I had to take the car in boxes just to get it off the lot. Unreal. Avoid this crook at all costs! Don't let Keaton near your car. Not to mention, he had the head off the engine sitting on a 55 gallon drum. With me watching he picked it up and set it back down to show me something. As he walked away it went crashing to the ground! Precision machined engine parts hitting the cement floor! He didn't care in the slightest and said it was fine. Unreal! read more

Ali, the shop owner, is a high level VW certified mechanic who trained in Germany. He has done my 60K mile service on my 2009 VW Rabbit and a couple other repairs for me. The cost was always well less than the dealership where I had been getting service while the car was under warranty.
