Be warned, our dinner took a little longer than 2 hours We ordered the shrimp tempura, paratha tacos, korean wings, brussel sprouts, and the soup of the day for starters. The paratha tacos were delicious and I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts. We were not given spoons for the soup until we asked. The drinks took an awfully long time to come out and our main courses took more than an hour. I will say that the presentation of the dishes were beautiful -- we ordered the robata, garam masala chicken tiffin, salmon bibimbap, chicken tagine, beef wellington, and the angus burger. I enjoyed the tiffin, my friends enjoyed the chicken tagine and the salmon. The robata was a bit over cooked, the fries from the burger were cold and stale. Personally, I enjoyed the food. The service was really, really slow. It seemed like there was one server for 5 or 6 tables. The manager Erica was nice enough to comp the drinks and listen to our feedback. Incredibly disappointing valentines dinner. They called two weeks in advance to confirm attendance and force us to prepay for the prix-fixe menu without seeing it (okay, that's weird, but we did it. ) Then when we get there the staff was rude, overwhelmed, and food took FOREVER to get out. We waited 45 minutes between the appetizer course and the entree, and after waiting another 45 minutes for dessert we decided to leave. We asked for a refund on the dessert since we did not receive it, and no one seemed to know how to do that. No manager came by to apologize or offer to help. They made us pay for this meal two weeks ago, and everyone in this restaurant was eating the same thing. How they were struggling so much incomprehensible. Come here if you want a mediocre meal with exceptionally poor service; avoid if you're looking for a nice date night. read more

What is there not to love about Gerrard Street Kitchen. The servers, staff and waiters are excellent and the FOOD IS BEYOND DELICIOUS! I almost never eat the the hotel restaurants but omg this one delivered 10s each and every time. The photos I have are both dinner and breakfast. The sushi was sushi was fresh and delicious, the edamame was good, breakfast was a delight, the wings were so good I was sad when I finished them, but my favorite was the shrimp and angus burgers. Those two are the stars of the menu. I know food is good when you don't need anything extra, I ate it just with cheese, because the quality of the beef was superb. We ordered the burger 3 different times. The shrimp burger I had on the last night and even if I didn't stay at the Darcy, which I did, I would come just for the food. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and super delicious. One comment on the breakfast, never have I had salmon avocado toast that good. Where they got those capers I have no idea but plate was clean, only the stems of the capers. You cannot go wrong on this menu. And the coffee was excellent, better than the place next door, which I tried. Go to Gerard's and thank me later. I also had the pleasure of getting a waitress named Simone a few times. She made my in room service a delight, made sure I had all the fixings, water and cold drinks. Her service was above and beyond, I wanted her each time. Such a wonderful attitude and great work ethic, she made my day! Thank you Gerrard's I feel my money was well spent. The food, service, and ambiance are excellent. I love the menu. I have never had a bad meal here. The service is great. I come here so often that waiters know who I am and what I want automatically. My favorite appetizer is the shrimp tempura with spicy remoulade. The tiffin dishes make excellent entrees and the best dessert is a chocolate crunch bar. It is like an upscale Nestle's crunch bar but with hazelnuts providing the crunch instead of the rice. read more

My husband and I shared the Korean crispy wings--very crunchy yum, brioche French toast & the Sal'vocado smash and everything was delicious. Totally recommend all of these if getting brunch! I love this place. I'm so happy to have it in my neighborhood. Every time I come there I am profoundly satisfied. They manage their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. On this visit I had crab cakes they were very flavorful and did not have too much filling. Last time I had The Beyond Burger it is the best burger you can get plant based or otherwise. It was juicy and tasty. The fries were great and not overly salty. We stayed at The Darcy and had breakfast here before we checked out. The food was so good! The staff was very professional and kind. They are taking covid restrictions seriously which made it an even more comfortable dinning experience. All of the staff had masks and gloves on they had tables closed keeping guests at a proper distance apart. I would suggest making reservations since the amount of tables are limited and their hours are limited as well. I had the avocado toast and my husband had huevos rancheros. Me and my family were on a trip for a vacation and came here because of the reviews and proximity to the hotel were were staying at. Our service was subpar from everyone in the establishment. Two of us ordered the same mean and it was extremely salty after informing our server there wasn't even an apology. All he said was "it was salty?" There was also an issue with checking in for our reservation they seemed to not be able to find my name when I looked at the screen and pointed directly to it. There was an individual checking on every table and didn't once check on our table, mind you were were the only Black individuals in the establishment. They both did an incredible job making sure we had everything we wanted. The ambiance was perfect for date night and the food was absolutely perfect. Stopped in on Wednesday night for dinner, since we were staying at the hotel, The Darcy and was greeted right away with a cocktail by hotel staff. The hotel had a complimentary cocktail sampling from 5-530 in the lobby as you enter the dinning area. The restaurant had a relaxing vibe and incredibly nice staff. We were seated right way and offered drinks. Naturally we ordered the drinks, myself a house chard. which wasn't good. The wine list could use an update. My husband ordered a beat martini and it was delicious! We were then brought a complimentary appetizer by the sushi chef, lightly fried rice cake with a slice of green tomato and avocado, simple and delicious. We then ordered a poke app, and sushi rolls for dinner. All was tasty! Le, our server was so kind. He offered my two year old twins a grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of fresh fruit, not on the menu, also filled their bottles with milk. My son wasn't enjoying himself during appetizers and was given a new toy truck by the sushi chef, stating "compliments of the hotel", personally I think it was a great way of getting a kid to be quiet.
