I've only been here for bottomless brunch. I think this is an amazing option if you're not looking for something too fancy. Brunch items are basic but enjoyable. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a casual affordable bottomless option. I suggest sitting in the patio area because it's much brighter and temperature controlled so you can sit even when it's cold/rainy. Service was also very attentive.

This was a great bar with cool drinks and food. They made it special for my birthday with sparklers with our dessert as well. The blue cocktail I got was so pretty and it was strong. For food we got 2 pastas including the cacio Pepe, fries, and an ice cream sundae. The cacio Pepe was amazing and I'd definitely get it again. Love the vegetarian options here as well. I would come back for sure!

Finally came in for their Sunday night steak frites special and was not disappointed. Always a good call to go to Bar Charley!

Bar Charley's is a quaint but busy casual bar. It's located on the bottom level of the building and as soon as you walk in, you're hit with the delicious smell of Brussels sprouts. They have a HH menu that ends at 6PM and have a few bites on that menu, including the Brussels. We ordered the potatoes, pork shoulder, and Brussels which were all pretty good! Definitely is a popular spot in the neighborhood and would be back!

My two girlfriends and I made a resy for the patio at 2 pm on a gorgeous Sunday and had the best time!!! We were sat right away, served with water immediately. The price was right for the bottomless brunch and my eggs Benedict was gone in seconds it was SO good!! Our server Wilbur was an angel! Can't wait to come back

Went here for a birthday brunch with friends! Overall it was a positive experience. The brunch menu has a great variety and a reasonable priced bottomless. I was all so appreciative that even with a larger group, our friends who didn't drink weren't charged! I had the French toast and it was delicious. A very cute brunch spot and we'd love to return!

Though it was tough to find (uber dropped me off further away and maps took me down an alley), Bar Charley is a great spot for brunch. Highly recommend sitting in the enclosed heated area! Bottomless brunch for $35 to include your entree? Yes please! Service was great. The staff was attentive: checking on us and topping off our waters. Recommend Bar Charley on the price alone!

Came here for a nice happy hour in Dupont Circle. Started off with an old fashioned and the Hummus plate. Drink was top notch as was the homemade hummus and warm pita bread. Service was super attentive and also friendly. For our mains we had the steak frites and the "suffering bastard" cocktails. I really loved this one and want to try to make it at home. Happy Hour on a Friday was very pleasant and quiet at 4 PM. It's a nice walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station.

Popped in early on a Friday evening for happy hour. Bar area is small but we grabbed a couple of stools by the front windows. Bartender was super friendly and brought us menus and took our orders quickly. Cocktails were great and the food was even better. The Catalan Fries were amazing and worth a visit themselves. Food came out really fast and staff were attentive. Great little spot.

This has to be DC's best kept secret for brunch... cats out of the bag because it was amazing & service was fast. My friend and I wandered in here because Vagabond wouldn't seat us for brunch so we ended up heading to Bar Charley .. The decor is amazing inside the restaurant however it had an odd smell we opted to sit outside & the ambience on the patio is so cute. I loved the plants and lights. The service was AMAZING, The food was quality. We got brunch burgers and fries. They were cooked perfectly. Their brunch was ending and 20 minutes & They still sat us. We were still able to get the brunch deal which is one entrée and champagne bottles, $35. We had such a great time. All of the staff was really nice. We ended up talking to the host, charlie on the way out He was really nice and super funny. We will definitely be back had a fabulous time.

Really enjoyed the brunch. The host was pleasant and seated us promptly. Although it's a small place, you don't get a crowded feeling. The food was really good. The beignets had good flavor (not doughy or oily) and were surprisingly small, more like bites. The American breakfast, quiche, and burger were all throughly enjoyed. I would recommend for sure. The experience was reduced my one star because of our server. -- wasn't attentive and had to be flagged for almost everything we wanted. Never mentioned a name. We asked for fries without seasoning or salt, and she said "they are not seasoned." You know we received fries with salt, right? Never asked how our food was and things of that nature.

It's a sexy basement vinyl den with additional outdoor seating, 10/10 unique cocktails, and incredible Japanese inspired small plates. Between two visits, we have tried 6 different drinks. They are named after songs and listed on the back of a fake vinyl cover. Each costs around $20, but with the mandatory tip and tax, it comes to around $26-28 per drink. The since I left you, though, is worth every penny. It is similar to an old fashioned but a little sweeter, with bourbon (makers mark), and while the menu says it also has miso, blackberry, cardamom, and cacao, I wouldn't say those flavors come through. But it is one of the best cocktails being served in DC right now. It is so good. They serve it with a cardamom tuile that is delicious as well. There is a lot of variety on here, but my number 2 is the Roses, a bright red gin based drink with a hint of fruitiness and a spicy kick in the back end. If you want something a little sweeter, the Takeover is a cognac based drink with coffee notes served with a mini donut. The food is exceptionally well seasoned and so flavorful. The fried chicken cannot be missed, and I love that you can get it in half or full size portions. The shrimp tempura might be even better. You get four large pieces that are super crisp and have a little orange sauce on them. Amazing. Our second visit we tried their chips and dip, and these potato chips alone are worth a visit. Large, crunchy, and served with a tasty ranch dip. I think 2 dishes is good for two people to fill you up, but add a third if hungry. The place is quite expensive, but they are worth it. For a date night, they are a great choice. Four drinks and three dishes shared between two people came to around $195, but as of this review, they are offering a $30 off deal if you pay through the app In Kind. Bonus points because the first time we came, they seated us maybe 5 minutes after our reservation time, and they gave us a free glass of cava. Top notch customer service right there

This bar is sweet -- awesome music, a neat menu, truly craft cocktails, and a unique menu. We tried several cocktails and each was delicious - from spicy to sweet, they don't miss. We also tried the cheese burger egg rolls and the tuna hand roll. The food is expensive for what you get but it's advertised to be small bites, not a meal. The egg rolls felt like remixed in n out, and as a Californian, I was grateful. Why not 5 stars? With the premium pricetag, I do expect premium service. The bartender was more interested in chatting with some folks he knew who came to sit at the bar. He also spent a lot of time chatting up the couple next to us, so do sit at the bar if you're feeling social. However, for the spare attention he did provide us, he was a bit condescending when we asked for a different glass for a drink that came in a bowl. It was slow until the very end of our stay and yet there were several times where I had an empty glass for a long period (and wanted to order more) or needed water. FYI for 6 drinks and a few bar bites it was $165... we went for a cheap burger dinner afterwards!

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes.
