No Goodbyes is attached to "The Line" hotel serving pastries and coffee during the morning to early afternoon then changes to a full bar in the evening. It serves as a hub all day with a "Wework"vibe where you find many people working on their laptops, engaged in meetings or friends just catching up. Cutest thing of all this location is dog friendly, with two decorative pieces showcasing Polaroid pics of the dogs that often visits the shop as they have dog treats there as well. The food and coffee here is great and filling. The croissants tasted so fresh with a great texture where it's not too thick and not too light as it was just right. The breakfast sandwich did not skimp on the egg in the middle as it would take me about 3 eggs to make such a size of a sandwich. The potatoes that came with it, also generous in portion and cooked through to perfection. In the evening the coffee shop closes and the bar opens up with a wide variety of drinks for their happy hour and bites! Highly recommended and will be back when visiting again.

The ambiance is this place is amazing. I must admit, sometimes when ordering food and drinks from a hotel restaurant, it can be hit or miss. Not here! Every dish and cocktail I ordered was good! I had a solo brunch date and a young lady took care of me and I hate I can't remember her name. She made the perfect fluffy mimosa. (If it helps she wears a mask-smart) Also had Andrew as my bartender and each cocktail he was extremely knowledgeable of. Even a drink I mentioned that other mixologist never heard of. When I'm back in the city, will definitely stop in. They also have a great HH daily (except Sundays)

Loved my breakfast. The potatoes were flavorful, the steak and eggs was cooked to my liking. Chill laid back atmosphere. The coffee shop portion has fresh juice. There is a happy hour everyday during the week. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Iced vanilla latte (supposed to be sugar cookie) and an iced cardamom and rose latte with oat milk

This is just for the coffee shop. I ordered a sugar cookie iced latte and my friend got a cardamom and rose iced latte with oat milk. We said we'd be having our drinks in the hotel and I specifically asked where it was ok for us to sit which I thought would confirm we weren't taking it to go. When our drinks were ready they were listed as to go and we weren't given the glasses other customers had who were also sitting. Also my drink was labeled as a vanilla latte which wasn't what was confirmed when I ordered. My drink wasn't the best but the cardamom and rose latte was good. Only thing with the cardamom rose latte was it came to $10 because of the $1 per syrup, and oat milk was another $1. It's a nice space located inside The Line Hotel, we just had a slightly weird first experience.

The entrance is on Euclid St. and after walking up the stairs, the restaurant is straight ahead. It was difficult to find the entrance and we completely missed the standing sign outside. My friend and I had reservations to come here at 8PM on Thursday. We ended up sightseeing a lot earlier so we stopped by around 6. The hostesses were understanding and showed us to an open table. There were a lot of open seats at this time and most people dressed casually. I think this would be a great place for a first date or just to catch up with friends. I loved the tall window in the restaurant - it reminded me of a train station. The mussels were soft and not too small. The sauce was rich and complimented the mussels perfectly. We also loved the bread that accompanied the dish for dipping. Oysters were also super soft. My friend loved the sautéed onions I believe that were in the cup. Neither of us had a stomach ache at the end of the night so I call that a win since it's always risky ordering raw seafood from a new place. Bolognese was perfection. I loved the chewiness and texture of the home made noodles and the sauce and meat were not overpowering. I had eaten a lot already that day but still ended up finishing my entire plate. The waitresses helped me pay in secret for my friend's birthday and even offered us complementary champagne. We both genuinely loved the champagne. My friend asked to take a photo with the "No Goodbyes" sign in the coffee shop but the hostess shared that the shop had closed for the day. I wish we got our hostess' name but she seriously made our day/my friend's birthday because she came back later to surprise us with "No Goodbyes" labeled merch such as stickers and pins. She and the other staff were so kind and jovial. We felt super welcomed and taken care of! Highly recommend and we cannot wait to come back.

    Large working area

On a mission to find the best spots for working remote in DC. This location is definitely in the top 5. If you have a membership with SoHo it gives the same vibes for their lounge area. The location sits in The Line Hotel and they are affiliated with SoHo House without the membership. They even shared the same hand soap and lotions. Large working area with tasty cofee bites and pastries. There's free WiFi and the area is quiet like a library (lol). There is a bar area serving alcohol and small menu items around lunch time and closes at 10pm. Highly consider if you need to getaway from home while working or need to plan a business meeting. Pros - large area and plenty of room - cozy sitting areas - A lot of tables - Quiet - tasty coffee and pastries - free WiFi - open until 10pm Cons - the bathroom is 1 large area for men and women. There isn't a separate bathroom. Can get smelly.

This cafe/restaurant is located inside the Line Hotel. This space is actually a solid spot to get work done as there is a large working area, free Wifi, plenty of outlets, and it's quiet but plenty of opportunity for people watching in this hotel. It's a slightly confusing set up but there is a cafe upon entering where you can grab coffee/pastries and then take a seat inside. They also have a restaurant/ bar area. They serve a brunch menu on the weekends from 10-3pm. I happened to come in on a Saturday at this time and decided to try out the menu. i got a "Reserved" table and ended up having an incredible brunch here. I ordered the duck confit hash which had crispy duck pieces, carrots, potatoes, and 2 sunny side up eggs. Delish! Definitely check this place out!

Great spot to celebrate a birthday! Servers were extremely friendly. The sea bass and spritz are to die for!!!

Stopped by after lunch for a Saturday sip before heading home. We weren't really hungry, but I still couldn't resist placing an order. We made a "to go" meal out of side dishes. The concierge was super helpful and suggested we seat ourselves on the plush blue velour couches while we wait for our server. And we did. Here's what we had: What we had: Sips = MISTER CASUAL + BAY CRUISER G&T Both drinks were good and refreshing, which was right on time for such a hot, muggy day in the city. Eats = + PARKER HOUSE ROLLS Perfect. The green garlic butter set these off! + HOPPIN' JOHN Decent. Flavorful enough for someone who's trying to cut back on salt. + I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S VEGAN BRAISED GREENS Surprisingly good for greens without ham hocks or turkey neck. The entrée menu is pretty pricey, so I'd be back for the front steps happy hour (Sunday-Thursday, 3-5:30pm), cocktails, appetizers, and/or more sides. * * Swanky little chill spot situated in The Line Hotel DC ( @thelinehotel ), you'll notice the church-like feel and décor (there are pews in the hotel lobby), as this was formerly The First Church of Christ, Scientist ( @christiansciencedotcom ). __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

A few people kept asking if we were going to Proper on F St or Proper on K St, both sports bars, and up until the day of I thought maybe they were affiliated. That was far from the truth... and honestly, once you walk in, you'll get why Drinks & Food I wasn't planning to drink since I haven't really been drinking lately, but I decided to go for a tequila espresso martini, and I'm glad I did. It was smooth, balanced, and honestly just really good. My friend ordered a Paper Plane, which she loved. For bites, we shared the chicken nuggets with caviar (yes, nuggets and caviar... and yes, they were delicious) and the lemon garlic shrimp, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered hit the mark. Prices are about what you'd expect for K Street and the overall vibe. Think $20-$25 cocktails, $20+ appetizers, and $35+ entrees. Portions, both drinks and food, lean on the smaller side, which is probably the only thing that might make you pause and wonder if it's slightly overpriced. ‍ Service Service was great. Our server checked on us regularly without hovering and offered helpful suggestions when we asked. Everything came out timely, and we felt taken care of throughout the night. Ambiance This is where Proper really shines. I walked into a cute, ground-level, dimly lit lounge with an opulent bar and a man playing the piano, which set the tone for the whole evening It felt upscale but still welcoming. Perfect for a romantic date night or a girls' night with your closest friends when you want to feel a little fancy. Overall The food, drinks, and vibes were so good that I completely forgot to take pictures, which almost never happens That alone says a lot. Proper Bar is a spot I'd return to when I'm in the mood for good cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and a polished night out.
