I am a very detail-oriented buyer; I calculate my own taxes and fees down to the penny and negotiate strictly on the Out-The-Door price. Josh was incredible. He didn't play the typical dealership games, he didn't try to hide numbers, and he was completely transparent. He even communicated with me on his actual day off to ensure my exact target price was approved and ready for a 5:00 PM closing. He is honest, straightforward, and earned every bit of a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, the Finance Manager, Keeley Murphy, completely ruined the vibe of what should have been a celebratory milestone. We went into the back office with our agreed-upon numbers and our down payment ready. The second we politely but firmly declined his pitch for extended warranties and protection packages, his entire demeanor flipped. The friendliness instantly vanished, and he became completely dismissive and cold. It was a very obvious *"let's just get this over with"* attitude, treating us like a chore he had to rush through simply because we weren't buying his high-margin extras. He then tried to stall the delivery by claiming we didn't have the "proper" insurance binder required to release the car. We didn't let that stop us--we simply went online and generated the exact required insurance documents right then and there. Yet, even after handing him exactly what he asked for to finalize the deal, his attitude remained completely checked-out and transactional. It is incredibly disappointing that after such a smooth, honest negotiation with Josh, the final step of the process was handled by someone who clearly stops caring about the customer experience the second they realize they aren't making a back-end commission. **The Verdict:** Go see Josh Toler. He will treat you with respect, work hard for you, and shoot you straight. stopped in last week to inquire about an airbag recall and the service advisor confirmed that it is still active so I scheduled an after work visit a couple days later since the exchange should take less than an hour... pulled in two days ago and got 'put in the system' before the technician disappeared with my hoopty. not much later I received a printout suggesting an alignment in the near future (needs wheel bearings, head gaskets, and a timing belt first though) and about ten minutes after that the other other car shows up in all its aging glory! :-) but one of the inflators has issues :-( so I get to come back when the new new part arrives and see what happens then. updated Feb 13: so I get a call at work telling me the replacement new part is in and do I want to bring my car in after work? SURE!! except this time I'm there for about twice as long to get half the work done... and I express my great displeasure to the service advisors (while apologizing for my harsh tone) because, well, you know... it's not their fault but they're the folks there. and when I get in my car my radio needs completely re-did (even the lighting!) because the battery was disconnected for a while... but the service engine soon light is off now because the battery was disconnected for a while... probably still in memory but that's not a huge thing and will get resolved when the bearings, gaskets, and timing belt get got read more

Went for my fi service today. Usually, my husband does this in his shop but it was free so I decided to let them do it. First time and last time. They can keep the rest of my free services. Car was purchased in September and I only have 5800 miles on it. Mechanic video that was sent to me showed a filthy cabin filter and told me I needed an alignment. At 5800 miles? I don't think so. Then, Jess, the service writer comes and shows me a picture of something in my tire and they can't fix it. Wanted me to buy a tire at a "discount " for $180.00. They would have to order but would put my spare on for me. i told her not to order it and leave the tire on the car. I knew I did not have a slack tire when I got there.I told her that I was only there for the free service. At that point it was very obvious she was through with me! My husband put it on his lift and pulled the tire, plugged it (only a small nail in it) and then pulled my cabin filter that wasn't close to needing to be replaced!! I understand how service departments work. The more you can push the car owner to buy the more money they make. My husband always looked down on co- workers that pushed a pencil to make more money. i absolutely love my Subaru but won't be back to this dealership!! read more

We HAPPILY purchased from Cross Creek Subaru in Fayetteville and are super happy with our purchase 18 months in! The process was simple! The price they gave us was the out the door price and car was exactly delivered as pictured. We loved the simplicity of the whole process, no games, great pricing from the start and free delivery to our home! We gave the necessary information over the phone/email to Cross Creek and the two veterans who delivered our car brought the paperwork for us to sign with them. I have never had a better car buying experience than what I wrapped up on July 1, 2019 with the purchase of a 2019 Subaru Forester Limited from Randy Marion Subaru. I do a lot of research before I buy both on the cars I may want and then on the pricing and then do my shopping around via email with various dealers. Randy Marion is the only Subaru dealer who did not play games with me. There was no spending hours in the dealership as the sales person goes back and forth with the sales manager. You all know the drill. I received an out the door offer via email at a price I was comfortable with and then that's what I received as I went through the quick closing process with the sales person and finance manager. Usually you get to the Finance office and that's where things somehow change. Not at Randy Marion. What I was promised via email is what was delivered all the way through the process. Could I have maybe negotiated something like the Admin fee they charge down a little? Probably so but, the fact that I did not have to go through the back and forth hassle where I wind up walking out only to eventually get the price I was comfortable with to begin with made me feel OK about the dealership getting a bit more profit. The dealership has chosen to start charging customers 3% to use a credit card. They want Cash or Debit in order to avoid the fee. Guy proceeds to tell me I have to pay $135 for a new spark plug, and $175 for engine clean up. Unknowingly, I said ok get it done. After I researched my warranty agreement on the Subaru website, it clearly states that my car should be covered for these costs if it is under 36,000 miles or 3 years of use, which my car was. Guy behind the desk proceeded to LIE to my face and try to SCAM money out of me. He then acted like he didn't know where he put my keys. The management team here will take advantage of you if you do not know a lot of information about cars. They will throw words at you that you do not understand. My family has been looking for a manual Forester since April of 2018, just after my daughter was born. Seven months later, we were alerted on a Monday night that a certified pre-owned manual Forester had just come off lease and arrived at the dealership. We sped in that night to take it for a test drive. Since the dealership made a comically low offer for my single-owner Prius and I had to travel for work later that week, I opted to look for a private buyer for the Prius and hoped that the Forester wouldn't sell over the weekend (we offered to put a deposit down in person, but they informed us that it would not be refundable if we couldn't come to an agreement on price). I had a conversation via phone with the sales person informing him of this plan, and he agreed to follow up with us on Monday. I ended up finding a buyer for the Prius and was ready to go and get the Forester. The sales person did not follow up with us as promised on Monday, and when we called late Monday afternoon we were informed that he had gone home early, but that they would give him a message to call us back first thing on Tuesday. Tuesday post-work, we called again and were told that he hadn't come in that day and that the car had just sold. I understand that there's a high demand for these vehicles and that a unicorn Forester like this would sell quickly, but this was a seriously poor experience that has soured me from ever wanting to do business with this dealership. If you're not bothered by poor communication and lack of follow up, Subaru does make good cars. I'd recommend looking elsewhere to purchase them. read more

I purchased my Forrester at the Subaru dealership in Concord, but after a HORRIBLE experience with the service department there (which I detailed in a separate review) I went to Randy Marion Subaru for my next service. The service manager, Robert, was outstanding to work with. He happily worked me in for service without an appointment, even though I was a new customer. I was in & out in no time - actually faster than I anticipated. Robert came out to show me my cabin air filter that he suggested be changed - it was no pressure sale - he was open and honest that it was optional and that not changing it wouldn't cause me to break down roadside, etc. The waiting area was pleasant, it was clean and had sufficient seating, free coffee, snack/drink vending, and TV. I think they also had free wifi, but I had full Verizon 4G service, so I didn't test it out. Although part of a larger business, the service department felt like a smaller family operated shop & I really liked that aspect of it. My wife took our Subaru in for a recall, and came out with a $140 bill for nonsensical items. They scared her with the "severity" of a cabin air filter and non-essential bulbs, about $30-$40 worth of parts, 5 minutes of labor but charge the full hour. Simple things I could have done myself. Randy Marion Subaru went above and beyond to help us while out of state and needing car repairs. The local dealer (Byers Dublin Subaru) did a faulty oil change leading us to be stranded with an engine with no oil on the side of the road, middle of no where. My Subaru towed the car and John and Marshall at Randy Marion "just did their job" but they got the car fixed, offered us drinks and food, and even moved seating for our large group while we waited to get back on the road. This dealer is LEGIT. They care, they are kind, and they were trustworthy. We cannot say enough about them! They even checked in on us to see that we were okay and got to our destination.
