On the day of the road test the instructors…read moreson came to pick my daughter up. 5 minutes later I'm getting texts from daughter saying 'They got pulled over by a state trooper, because he was on his cell phone while driving.' (She was the passenger) This kid denies and blatantly lies to the officer, so the trooper makes him step out of the car for a "chat". She texted me angry bc she was going to be late. And she was freaking out bc she didn't know what was happening. The kid got a ticket, gets back in the car and proceeds to complain the whole way to the testing site about how HIS day & weekend is ruined. She was late for her allotted test time but they let it go. She was already nervous about passing the road test but at this point her anxiety was through the roof! Unfortunately her nerves got the best of her and she failed her test. I truly believe this experience was part of the reason she failed. But not even a phone call to give an apology- really?? Or at least call to suggest a lesson or two for free for her next scheduled road test. We got nothing! No apology and no acknowledgement of this incident. They just ignored the whole situation as if it didn't happen!

They placed my son on a 1:1 for someone to follow him around as though he was a threat to their preschool. If you are truely familiar with the Montessori Methods.....this is not it! They appear to have the Montessori tools for learning upon viewing the school/classroom, but they do not actual follow the teaching methods of it! If your child does not follow directions 100 % & does not immediately adapt, the Directress Lenore will be very condescending, biased & down right offensively rude-even suggesting have my son evaluated for "special services." The teachers will smile so beautifully in your face just to "kick you & your child in the back." They do not possess character traits of "loving hands" nor the actual "Montessori Methods." Class sizes are small, STEM is a major focus, teachers are qualified, and expectations are high.. both academically as well as conduct standpoint. Staff/Admin/Teachers are among some of the most caring and friendly you will meet. When taking a tour led by 8th grade students, I was blown away by the maturity, confidence and composure of these 12/13 year olds. This year, my family had the misfortune of dealing with the diagnosis of a serious illness that I received. When notified, the amount of support and love that my family received was incredible. They offered before/after care... they gave cell phone numbers etc... The community atmosphere there is incredible. All that said, its not for everyone. As mentioned above there are expectations, there is religion and morals, and if your children need to be reprimanded for poor behavior, then they will provide that as well. We have found that most other parents that have a hard time following the rules are the ones who seem to have the most "problems"... The doors open at a certain time for a reason. The children are let out a certain way, for a reason. They ask for certain snacks not to be sent to school for a reason... And it seems the parents who have to complain the loudest about these rules, rather than just accepting them as part of enrollment in this school, perhaps should consider a different school. We have found that being cooperative, following the rules and being personable has lead to a fantastic experience. In my business, if my clients are difficult to work with, they have a much different experience than those who are a pleasure to work with.

In reference to the negative review, I am not too concerned about the front desk. My main concern is my kids safety. I would prefer there be a strict policy on admittance. Also, public school just as catholic schools are not babysitting services. There is a time that students are expected to be in school and released from school. On another note, The academics are by far high, the teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is rigorous. This is everything that embodies a dynamic school. The class size is small as they move up into elementary school and middle school. This is exactly why I choose Trinity Regional School. Truly, look no further if you and your family are looking into Catholic Education. You will not be unhappy.

When we called the company, they agreed but couldn't explain why the instructor had not mentioned this to either the student or the person paying for the lessons. I was basically told that it was the student's fault and that she should have known she was not ready. Ummm, aren't you the professionals who should be giving feedback on what you're seeing? My three kids went to Kumon, from 2013 to August 2023…read more Academic success is supported and cheered for in our house, it is necessary for adult financial success. When my wife and I found out about Kumon in 2013, when the kids were 4, 6 and 9 years old, we figured we'd give it a try, a little boost to ensure academic success. Fast forward to the present - those "kids" are now 14, 16 and 19. The oldest is in SUNY Binghamton majoring in Mathematics. She likes math. She's getting As and 100s. She got a 1350 on her SATs. The middle kid is in all AP and Honors 11th grade classes and her GPA is 95. The youngest is in 9th grade with the AP and Honors courses and he's also at a GPA of 95. They excel academically. The best thing that Kumon does is it gets children accustomed to the idea that success is attained through hard work. They learn over the years that consistent hard work produces success. Kumon is not easy. Sometimes, yes, there will be stretches of familiar work, but difficult mathematical concepts will present themselves. Getting to where these concepts can be comprehended involves failure, frustration, and patience. Over time, it is learned that they can confront difficult problems and succeed. Always. This connection - hard work + consistency + patience = success ... this stays with them for life. This work ethic will enable them to master whatever is put before them. The academic confidence my kids have, the understanding that when confronted with an academic challenge, it is a pain in the ass, but with patience and work they will understand it, because they have been in this situation with Kumon hundreds of times before, and they know the drill and they anticipate their success with confidence. And in the end (which, for us, is when my kids stopped Kumon in the summers after 8th grade), you, as a parent, will end up with confident, patient, hard-working young adults who are readily able to confront academic challenges. They will be imbued with the ingrained understanding that with consistent hard work they can pursue anything they want to, academically or otherwise, with the self-assuredness of future success. This mindset is gold. P.S. it has to be an all-in whole family affair. You (and your significant other) have to help your child grind through challenges week in and week out. It is worth it.

Two years ago, in the heart of the pandemic, we began out three year old at this school. I receive a call on day two from Trisha, the main administrator, with a sarcastic laugh "Yeah, sorry this won't work" My son pulled a girl's hair. While I acknowledge this behavior must be corrected and we are disciplinarians, they kicked my son out because he pulled someone's hair? Rather than suggesting extra services (my son had delayed speech for which he received help in the next preschool in Northport), they resorted to abrupt expulsion of a three year old. Outrageous and unfair. My 5 year old of course is now thriving as he received speech therapy. He is well behaved and shame on you for tainting a childhood. God knows what happened in the class that my son is terrified of going back. A security threat? From a three year old? Lazy and unbecoming. Even if you get this review deleted, God is watching you. Ironically.
