We stopped here for some Horsd'oeuvres ahead of a late afternoon BBQ. The entire estate brought us back home to Sonoma style hospitality. We dined on sumptuous appetizers and flights of Gervasi Italian vintages. It was heavenly. The food was plated beautifully and the entrees were superb: calamari, meatballs, fried pilaf balls, cheesy breadsticks, fig infused pasta, and the charcuterie was divine.

Visited Crush House again. It's been a year since our last visit. This time, we brought friends. We were celebrating my mother-in-law's 75th birthday. We sat outside and there were heaters on the ceilings to take the edge off the cool breeze, which was nice. Our waitress was superb - fast, friendly, patient, attentive, and she had a great memory. We started off with drinks and appetizers and then moved into dinner. For appetizers, we requested cauliflower, a meat and chese tray, and loaded nachos. For dinner, I requested scallops, my mother-in-law, meatball appetizer, my father-in-law, salmon, and my wife, shortrib sliders. My scallops were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My meal was perfect. The scallops were tender, cooked perfectly, and tasted wonderful. The esparagus was especially great and the mashed potatoes were good. My meal disappeared quickly and I loved it. I tasted my father-in-law's salmon and it was overcooked and didn't have a great flavor. The shortrib was excellent. Overall, The Crush House put out another excellent meal. And the ambience was quiet, relaxing, and beautiful. I'm sure we'll be back again.

The crush house was a very nice place to get cocktails, appetizers and dinner. Our server Lisa was great! She was on point with the menu; very knowledgeable; energetic; funny and very attentive. Happy hour was weekdays m-f 2 -6pm. Definitely worth going during this time to try new stuff. The vibe is very chill.... Laid back and just very enjoyable. We ordered the loaded chips; these have blue cheese, scallions, bacon and etc. it was a mouthful of goodiness. Ordered the mozzarella sticks... these are by far one of the best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. Very light and gooey and just plain delicious. For dinner I ordered the beef gnocchi... plentiful of meat... and this dish was nice and hot. Very good! My parents ordered the maghreita chicken... haha weird to have a bone in the chicken breast; but they said it was good too. For dessert we shared the blondie... I highly recommend this dessert.... The Carmel adds a nice touch over the ice cream. Very light and filling desert. Easily shareable. Very good!

The service was wonderful, our server was highly attentive and well versed in the menu and drink menu. The food was excellent as well! The restaurant was intimate, quiet (it was a Monday night, given), and the vibes were relaxing.

The Crush House is located at Gervasi Winery. They offer food, cocktails, wine, beer, and more! I had the double barreled cocktail which was made with GS Wine Barrel Bourbon, Muddled Orange and Lemon, Drizzle of Honey, Grand Marnier, finished with Ginger Beer. It cost 12 dollars but was well worth the price! It was absolutely delicious and came out looking real fancy's. I could really taste the booze which was an added bonus. :) The inside was super cute and had a great atmosphere! They have bar seating, tables, a waiting area, and upstairs dining. The ceilings were high and they had large windows which made the place feel even bigger. You even have a beautiful view of the vineyards if you sit by the windows. I didn't try any of the food but I watched them make it and everything looked DELICIOUS!! My friends ate there and they said the food was incredible. This is such a cute place for a drink and/or food. A must visit while in Canton!!!

But as I recall there were a ton of bee's that day and we were battling them. We left because we didn't want to battle the bee's but the wine was ok. This time we came on a freezing cold January day. Walked in and they have a food truck set up. Kinda inside undercover but they are cooking away. Smelled amazing. We did order. We got this loaded potato soup. $7.50 and it was delish. We asked to get it hotter because it was freezing cold and the soup was just like warm. But they heated it up. We got the blueberry sangria which was pretty good. We got a picture and relaxed with our soup. We had to hang out in the main building because it was too cold in the other rooms. We stayed for about an hour. Everyone was nice. It was a cold winters day around 10 degrees so warm was a priority. It was a good stop.

The actual restaurant is also very good. I don't know if they have an actual chef but a lot of their menu is chef quality so kudos to Maize Valley if they're not actually using a chef. The ambiance is very chill and the place is quite large with a large variety of snacks and a cafe. I do not recommend the coffee. That is an area they could definitely improve. Other than that great job Maize Valley!!

My friend and I spent the day at the Lavender Festival at Maize Valley Winery this past Saturday…read more After browsing the many vendor booths throughout the festival, we stopped in the winery for lunch. There was a line when we arrived, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within about 5-10 minutes. Instead of a traditional server, each table had a QR code that allowed us to order both food and drinks directly from our phones. We had no interaction with any server, we had one member who delivered our food and wine flights to our rebel and left. The system worked well and everything arrived quickly and efficiently. We both ordered the Lavender Salad with added chicken. The salad featured mixed greens topped with feta, cucumber, red onion, lavender-pickled blueberries, candied pecans, and a lavender blueberry dressing. It was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We both agreed it was excellent. We also each ordered a wine flight, which included four 2-ounce samples. I sampled the Sinfully Red, Mad Cow, Hanky Panky, and Redneck Red. I enjoyed all four wines. Most were on the sweeter side, while the Sinfully Red was a nice dry option that provided a good contrast. The Lavender Festival itself was wonderful, with plenty of vendors to shop from and lots to see. We also tried the lavender lemonade, which was refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day. One thing that surprised me was the additional charge to access the lavender fields. It was $10 to walk through and take photos, or $20 to take photos and cut lavender to bring home. Personally, I felt the $10 photo fee was a bit steep and not quite worth it just to snap a few pictures, but I understand it's a business and an additional way for them to generate revenue. Giving this review a 3-star instead of a 5-star because I felt the food and wine flight was a bit pricey and I did not like that they charge you to walk through the lavender field. I ended up paying almost $45 for a salad and flight as there was a large tip automatically added onto my order. I wasn't given the option to add a customized tip. I didn't even receive a text receipt to my my phone showing what I would be charged and the addition of the tip, so I thought that was a little bit sneaky and unexpected. We had the food delivered to our table. No other interaction took place. Overall, despite those two things mentioned, Maize Valley did a great job handling a very busy event. Between the beautiful festival atmosphere, tasty food, enjoyable wines, and efficient service, it was a fun day.
