I've been going to Get Axed for its monthly Country Night line dancing. It's held either the last Friday or Saturday of the month from 7 to 9 PM. Follow Get Axed Roseville on Facebook or Instagram: @getaxedroseville There is no cover charge to dance. Locally established line dance instructor Jen Michele teaches 3 dances over the course of 2 hours, and dances are called in between lessons. She will call out the steps for the first couple walls for the easier dances. The floor is not wood. The dance floor space is an odd shape: a small square area in front of the DJ then overflow into the walkway from the front door to the first axe-throwing lane. I would say it's the shape of a key or the state of Oklahoma. You won't always be able to see the instructor, so you will have to listen carefully to the steps, copy the surrounding line dancers, or wait for her to move closer to you to demo. After 9 PM, you can make song requests to the DJ to get your favorite line dances called. You'll need to provide the name of the song to the DJ because he's not a line dancer. If you fear a zombie apocalypse, there are 9 reservable lanes to hone your axe throwing. Each lane comes with its own reserved table. There are 12 digital axe-throwing games. This would make for a fun night out with friends. The rate is currently $10 per person per half hour. You can reserve for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. We came across this place when trying to find something to do after dinner. Unplanned date night with my husband this was for sure the perfect spot. Although they don't have food I did notice they had snacks and looked like you can bring your own food in. A ton of drinks to choose from and live DJ, it was a Saturday night, he was taking requests but was just playing really great music. They have a "game room" in the back were we enjoyed some new games I never heard of while we waited for our turn to through some axes . Some friends took me here for my birthday. There were 6 of us, and we just wanted let loose and have a good time. Mission accomplished! There's not really dinner foods, but there are plenty of places across the parking lot, so we brought in a salad, sandwiches and some Greek food, and had some drinks from the bar. Cuz who wouldn't wanna get smashed and then throw weapons? It was literally the most fun I'd had all year. There was even a DJ taking song requests, so that was rad. He even had access to my kid's album on Spotify (kid was there with us), so we had him play a few of her songs out in a public place for the first time, and I know she will always remember that. Came here with a couple of girlfriends on a Saturday night around 7:30 and it wasn't crazy busy, though we did have a reservation so we didn't have to wait at all. We took advantage of the awesome Groupon deal they had going on and only paid $12 per person. Once you're taken to your reserved area a staff member will walk you through how to set up games, sign waivers, explain how games are played, and go over safety rules. They will also take your drink orders at this time. This was my first time axe throwing so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I think differing from other axe throwing establishments, this one offers games to create more of a challenge. Aside from the typical Target you can choose games from "Beer Pong", Tic Tac Toe, Zombies and others. This place provides you with three different axes as well! So besides Axe throwing they have pool tables, shuffle boards and TVs for other entertainment. On this particular evening they had a DJ. I'm not sure if they have a DJ Saturdays only, but it definitely made the evening more fun, we all did the Cupid shuffle! The customer service was great! Friendly staff who interact well with customers- no complaints in that department at all! I'm only giving 4 stars because none of my drink choices (3) were available and the food options only consists of chips from what we saw. They also do not serve cider so that was a bummer since I'm not a big fan of beer. Other than that we had a great night, good vibes all around. Went here on Sat 6/13/26 after getting conflicting info online as to if this place was still open/in business. Yelp showed permanently closed, but Google and Apple Maps still showed open. I tried calling and after several rings an automated voicemail said thanks for calling GetAxed, were busy with other customers and to leave a message or call back. I called several times and the same. After driving here it was not open, but still looked like the bar and axe bays were still there, but they were closed. No sign on the door if they permanently closed or not and no hours on the door. Online says open 12p-12a, but nothing. I'm assuming it's closed permanently even though I saw reviews as recent as 3 weeks ago so must have been very recently closed. It would be helpful if their website said that or on the door. We decided to celebrate the new year at Get Axed in Roseville this year. With our adult children, we booked the evening before New Years eve 2024 to celebrate. Yesterday was first time at Get Axed. We came for the salsa dancing as advertised. But the manager informed us that the salsa instructor canceled last minute. She gave us a drink on the house and let us axe throw for an hour free of charge as well, which was really nice considering the no-show salsa dancer wasn't the business' fault.
