My husband, my sister & I came here to celebrate my bday Sat 8/29 to play pool, and have a beer. Suzanne was our wonderful bartender. It turns out they have Happy Hour during the day Mon-Sun, so we all got a 16oz Gummy Worm beer $6.53hh. We played several games of pool, and my husband even got a chance to play darts. Suzanne took great care of us, and poured my sister & I each a strong Gin & Tonic. Mine ended up being on the house for my bday!! We found out later that the Onyx would be celebrating their 90th anniversary the next day on 8/30. We'll have to try and plan to come back next year to join in the festivities. read more

Onyx Club is a cool place to meet up with friends for a gathering, great drinks and fun in Roseville. The hubster and I ventured here last night to listen to the band Bad Boyfriend and meet up with some friends. The two bartenders were hopping busy and kept things going and were very fun and nice. Even the bus people were terrific. We did share an order or popcorn shrimp and fries. Honestly not the best of bar food we've ever had which is why I downgraded them from five to four stars. Street and parking lots make coming here a breeze and prices are reasonable! read more

Went with a group of about 10 friends. The drinks were heavy pours, very good for pricing! Service was great till one of our drinks had a white strip at the bottom of it (probably from the bottle) and after I took it back for a new one, the service definitely changed. Next time I went to the bar I waited about 10 minutes to be helped while the bartender kept helping people around me and people who just walked in instead. Friday night at The Onyx was an absolute blast. From 6:00-9:00 PM they had a lively band that kept the energy high all evening -- the place was truly hopping. The highlight for me, though, was the whiskey sour crafted by Bianca... hands down one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly balanced and dangerously delicious. Great music, fantastic drinks, and a crowd full of friendly, welcoming people made for a really fun night out. This is a great club with phenomenal live music on Friday night from 6-9! The bands tend to be 80's band, which is great for the over 40 crowd, then the younger folks come in closer to 9. The Onyx offers a variety of great cocktails and beer. Shockingly, their bar food is also great, particularly their fish and chips. I don't even really like fish and chips, but theirs are delicious. The best part about this bar is definitely the people. The staff is phenomenal, they really make you feel welcomed and cared about. Special recognition to Bianca, Suzanne and Natalie. The customers are also great, with a more the merrier attitude and all are welcome to join. To top it all off the bar is clean, definitely the cleanest bathrooms of any bar or club I have ever been in. Bottom line; this is a place you need to try! The Onyx is like our own local "Cheers" bar. Great atmosphere, very clean, Everyone is friendly. The Friday night bartenders, Bianca and Suzanne, are amazing! Live music by some of the best local bands every Friday. A great place to get out and dance whether you're in a group, couple, or alone. It's one of the best places for Taco Tuesday. Joey, the cook, makes everything from scratch. Slow cooking everything up to 24 hours. The outdoor patio is a nice place to hang out with friends. Honestly I thought bar food from what looked like a "dive bar" wouldn't be great BUT I came by on a Tuesday and the street tacos were some of the best I've had since living in San Diego!!! Saturday, 4/02/2022 - Checked out "Onyx Club" in Roseville, Ca. Address is 116 Main St, Roseville, CA 95678. We went early, so upon arrival: Pros: 1) nice bar. They have a bar in the back patio too. Plenty of seating. 2) had TVs, games, pool tables, electronic dart board, music, etc to keep one entertained. 3) bar tender is nice. 4) people here were all very nice. Patrons mind their own business. 5) the have music here in the evening, I heard. But we came early so didn't get to hear the DJ spin. 6) there's a public parking lot right down the street. Not sure if it's paid parking or not, as I didn't park there. I found street parking!! It wasn't paid parking for me. Cons: No cons. Conclusion: We came early and there wasn't much people. So the workers here were very nice and helpful. Even those that came to enjoy a night out were all very nice. Love that they had plenty of games to keep their customers entertained and good music going. And that they had a bag patio with a bar and music going. read more

Raiders fans aren't really welcome here. It's a Niners bar now apparently. I guess back in the day it maybe was a Raiders bar, doesn't look like it now. Bartender basically said F you and had one tiny tv screen with the raider game on and 6 other large screens with nothing but the Niners game. Oh well, this bar's loss since I usually buy a lot of drinks and tip super generously for the bar staff. Being a Hater and basically telling certain fans they aren't welcome is apparently how this bar operates. I can take a hint and I'll be sure to spread the word.
