Craving a burger but did not want to brave the lines at In and Out. Hopped on yelp and found Get Smashed. Ordered a single smash burger. 6.50 for single burger is priced right but they nickel and dime, charging a dollar extra for both cheese and jalapeños. Ordered some well done fries to go along with the burger. Got home from a short drive and dug in. Burger was served on a pillowy soft bun, and had nice crispy edges but was oversauced. The grilled onions get lost in the sauce and you don't really realize they are there. You must add jalapeños to this burger as it adds much needed acid,as the amount of pickles is lacking. Fries are an after thought. Not much attention paid to them. Overall a place with potential but the attention to detail is just not there. With a very limited menu, detail is of utmost importance. May head back to try them again once the growing pains are worked out.

See-through hamburger patty, can see the bun on the other side because they are so thin.

I was so excited to try Get Smashed LA because I do love a good smash burger. I rarely have to leave this bad of a review, but I was sooo disappointed. 1) I understand the point is to be smashed, but I've never had a burger where I can see the bun underneath and see through holes in the meat. 2) One might say a "see-through" patty is a one off deal, but we ordered 4 smash burgers and all 4 had the same pitifully thin patty. 3) People need to order two burgers to get full, which at $6.50 for a plain burger with no cheese means $13.00 and... no cheese. 4) It's really bad if I have to take the time to go onto the Carl's Jr. website and look up how much an Original Angus Burger is with Cheese... $7.39 and even includes more toppings. The most important part is that I can't see through the patty at Carl's, plus it's a giant burger leaving me extremely full. Their char flavors are incredible. This smash burger didn't have much flavor. 2 In and Out burgers would've been satisfying. All in all, I can say I tried it once, but I definitely would not go back.

I am excited that we now have Get Smashed to fulfill my smash burger craving in the Valley. I ordered a triple and a single (both w/ cheese). The burgers had a yummy char taste, and was very flavorful and juicy. The cheese had an excellent melt, and the smash sauce, pickles, and grilled onions all combined for a tasty bliss. Don't forget the sweet n' savory sweet potato fries - portion was enough to share between two people. The workers were very friendly and answered all our questions. Will definitely come back whenever I am craving smash burgers. And you should too!

Good sauce burger and everything was on point. Would love to have seen lettuce and tomato but small business big flavor would buy it again

Double with bacon/cheese and sweet potatoes fries

When you are 8 1/2 months prego and craving smashed burger but wanting a new smashed burger place can be a hit or a miss. This was a hit! Meat was crispy but thick with onions inside, sweet potatoe fries were great crispy but still soft! The sauce was perfect and they have extra sauces on the side. The ranch was good too, more on a pepper side. Buns were toasted as well. Ambiance I would definitely say a hole a the wall win! Service was nice! Must try this place definitely in my top 5

They just opened up last week! The food was super flavorful. It's everything I needed in a smash burger (flavor, a perfect char, and juiciness) that really hit the spot. I am glad to know that there's a new smash burger spot close to my neighborhood so now I don't have to go far to fulfill my cravings. I will definitely come back.

For the win--literally!…read more After a few hours of shopping, my daughter, granddaughter, and I decided to grab dinner at For the Win. We were all craving burgers, and nothing hits like a fresh smash burger. I ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and all the toppings, plus a side of sweet potato fries and a cold brisk tea. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was super clean and had a festive vibe with Christmas music playing, which we loved. The staff were very welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back to this location.

I had a pretty frustrating experience ordering from For The Win today, which completely defeated…read morethe purpose of ordering ahead. I placed an online order through their website, and it quoted about a 25-minute prep time with a ready window around 2:56 -3:06 PM. I planned accordingly and even arrived earlier so I could pick it up fresh and avoid waiting. However, just five minutes after placing the order, I received a text saying it was already ready. That immediately raised a red flag, because if you're paying $13+ for a double burger, you expect it to be made closer to your arrival time, not immediately. When I arrived, the burger was already cold. When I brought this up, the employee I spoke with repeatedly said "it's not my fault" and pointed to someone else, instead of taking any ownership or even acknowledging the issue. It was a really poor way to handle a simple customer concern. Eventually, after some back and forth, the burger was remade, but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. And ironically, it took longer to make it this time than it did after I placed the online order. But then now I wa stuck waiting defeating the whole purpose of ordering ahead. A manager eventually came over and was polite, but by that point the experience had already been frustrating. They also threw away the original burger instead of offering to let me keep it, which felt wasteful. On top of that, when I asked for a couple cups of water for my daughter, I was told I'd need to purchase a bottle, which felt pretty tone-deaf given the situation and didn't even think to offer me any anything for the misunderstanding and having to wait extra time now... The bigger issue here is the lack of coordination and communication. If you're going to quote customers a pickup time, especially for hot food, the order should be made accordingly--not immediately after it's placed. Otherwise, you're guaranteeing that the food won't be fresh when the customer arrives. Between the timing issue, the lack of ownership from staff, and the overall handling of the situation, this was a disappointing experience. I usually like the food, but the service and process today really need improvement.

So far I've had the patty melt, the avocado cheeseburger, and the double bacon cheeseburger, and every single one has hit. First off, the bacon deserves its own mention. Whatever bacon they're using is clearly top-tier quality. Thick, flavorful, cooked right, and definitely not an afterthought. No flimsy strips or skimping here. The burgers are big. Like, legitimately big. These aren't sad, flattened patties. They're hearty, filling, and actually justify the price. They also don't hold back on the cheese, which I appreciate. Everything tastes fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. What really surprised me, especially with inflation being what it is right now, is the value. Their combos are around $16-$17, and for that you get a large burger, a solid portion of fries, and a drink. And it's a fountain drink, not a can, which matters. You're not leaving hungry, and you don't feel like you overpaid. The fries are good, the specials are very reasonable for the quality, and they also have other drink options if you're not in the mood for soda. The vibe is another big plus. You can sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the people working there are genuinely nice. It really feels like a family-owned spot where customer service still matters. You're treated like a person, not just an order number. For anyone in the neighborhood looking for a good burger, good people, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Oh, and yes, they do have restrooms, which always matters more than people admit. Overall, this is one of those places that gets the fundamentals right: quality food, fair pricing, and good service. I'll definitely keep coming back.
