This was absolutely delicious! The sliders were the perfect size and the fries were fresh and crispy. Fresh jalapeños on the side adds the perfect bite. Oh and the sauce??? Amazing. I will be back!

Street burger stand that makes great smash burgers. Move out of the way in and out. Friendly staff and very attentive. Plenty of parking and if you want ice cream go to Afters or Gleson. Get it loaded and dont hold back.

Love LOVE coming here! The best burgers and the service I love! When you have friendly and great people who own and work here you know the food will be great. They take pride with their food. They make sure your order is correct and tasty. When in LA it's a must!! We ordered the double bougie & regular fries. The owner is always there. His vibe is great! I just wish it was closer to my mom's house. The drive here and back is 40 mins away. When you live far and have a Sh!t load of smash burgers restaurants near the house. And you would rather drive way out here... YOU definitely know the food is good. The owner is amazing. My son went back because mom didn't order the XTRA bougie fries WITH truffle oil. The owner said this is on the house!! The owner said this is the biggest one he has made. Parking is the lot of the plaza.

I've been wanting to try Bougie Burger for a while now I live just down the street and pass it almost every night but somehow never stopped. Tonight I finally decided to pull up around 10:30 PM as they close at 11 on Sundays and I'm so glad I did! When I arrived, there was no one there after I ordered and went to go sit back in my car about 10 more people showed up within minutes. V (the chef/owner) greeted me with a big smile and amazing energy. The customer service was truly top-tier cheerful, welcoming, and super personable. I ordered the Bougie Burger and it surpassed my expectations. Super flavorful, high-quality ingredients, perfectly smashed and seasoned well, honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The location is also super convenient plenty of easy parking thanks to the adjacent Gelson's lot, which is usually pretty empty around their operating hours. I'm definitely a little nervous this spot is so close to my house because it's so good. But I'll absolutely be back. this place is a hidden gem in the Valley that's totally worth the stop.

Best waygu burger I've had actually best smashburger I've ever had so fresh no extra sauce needed. The owner was there explaining their process as well as helping out u can tell he puts his heart into this place:) They were so fast & efficient. Way better than the typical fast food joint and these trendy smashburger spots around. We were waiting for our food in the car & he even came out to serve us our food!!! Will def be back to support and enjoy:)

Epic burgers to be honest. Very flavorful NATURALLY. One of the very few places where the patty itself tastes soooo good. You can tell it is high quality ingredients. The service is insane and the music playing just sets the right tone. What a hidden gem. Don't be worried about all the caviar photos though it's normal burger spot, the taste is just outstanding

My bf and I have come here twice already. And the owner remembered us. Of course, I didn't expect that, but it was very sweet. We are currently on a smash burger find and we have gone to quite a few. (I believe we are up to 7 already.) This one is one of the good ones. Let me tell you why. The burgers are good. And we have not been disappointed. Our order has consistently stayed the same - Super Bougie Burger Combo Meal (3 patties with cheese but we add bacon, fries and a drink) & Bougie Fries (loaded fries - smashed burger on top, chopped caramelized onions, thinly sliced jalapeños, pickles, and bougie sauce). It cost about $37 and change. This is more than enough food for the two of us. V, the owner, is consistently a nice guy when we have been there. I love truffle parmsesan fries but my bf doesn't like parm so I don't order it when he is with me. V offered me an order (on the house) so I could try it. So nice, I even told him to just switch my bf reg fries to the truffle parm fries (since my bf and I were sharing the bougie fries) so he didn't have to give us extra food, but he insisted. That was very nice of him. Also, even though we only order one combo, he still gives me a drink. I always refuse but he insists. I do appreciate great customer service. And I appreciate V who appreciate his customers. I loved the truffle parm fries. It was great! And I didn't have to share with my bf. LOL FYI, you can upgrade your bougie fries to garlic parm fries for an extra fee. :) I appreciate that the bougie fries have thinly sliced fresh jalapeños because it makes it less spicy. I love spice but I want to be able to taste my food. LOL This pop up is located on Van Nuys Blvd. Right in front of Gelson's. It's in a good location with lots of parking. Can't wait to be back when we need another smash burger fix. :)

    Double with loaded fries. AMAZING!!!

Absolutely fantastic food. The burger is so tasty and the loaded fries are the bomb. Friendliest owner on the planet. If you like smash burgers, this may be the best place in town to get them. Thanks for a most wonderful experience.

The atmosphere is casual and…read morefestive, with TV's playing sports and a varied crowd that includes daters, older couples, families and singles making the most of their weekend. There's music that's lively without being overbearing, and the staff is uniformly friendly. But... You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)

I had a pretty frustrating experience ordering from For The Win today, which completely defeated…read morethe purpose of ordering ahead. I placed an online order through their website, and it quoted about a 25-minute prep time with a ready window around 2:56 -3:06 PM. I planned accordingly and even arrived earlier so I could pick it up fresh and avoid waiting. However, just five minutes after placing the order, I received a text saying it was already ready. That immediately raised a red flag, because if you're paying $13+ for a double burger, you expect it to be made closer to your arrival time, not immediately. When I arrived, the burger was already cold. When I brought this up, the employee I spoke with repeatedly said "it's not my fault" and pointed to someone else, instead of taking any ownership or even acknowledging the issue. It was a really poor way to handle a simple customer concern. Eventually, after some back and forth, the burger was remade, but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. And ironically, it took longer to make it this time than it did after I placed the online order. But then now I wa stuck waiting defeating the whole purpose of ordering ahead. A manager eventually came over and was polite, but by that point the experience had already been frustrating. They also threw away the original burger instead of offering to let me keep it, which felt wasteful. On top of that, when I asked for a couple cups of water for my daughter, I was told I'd need to purchase a bottle, which felt pretty tone-deaf given the situation and didn't even think to offer me any anything for the misunderstanding and having to wait extra time now... The bigger issue here is the lack of coordination and communication. If you're going to quote customers a pickup time, especially for hot food, the order should be made accordingly--not immediately after it's placed. Otherwise, you're guaranteeing that the food won't be fresh when the customer arrives. Between the timing issue, the lack of ownership from staff, and the overall handling of the situation, this was a disappointing experience. I usually like the food, but the service and process today really need improvement.
