I've been wanting to try Bougie Burger for a while now I live just down the street and pass it almost every night but somehow never stopped. Tonight I finally decided to pull up around 10:30 PM as they close at 11 on Sundays and I'm so glad I did! When I arrived, there was no one there after I ordered and went to go sit back in my car about 10 more people showed up within minutes. V (the chef/owner) greeted me with a big smile and amazing energy. The customer service was truly top-tier cheerful, welcoming, and super personable. I ordered the Bougie Burger and it surpassed my expectations. Super flavorful, high-quality ingredients, perfectly smashed and seasoned well, honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The location is also super convenient plenty of easy parking thanks to the adjacent Gelson's lot, which is usually pretty empty around their operating hours. I'm definitely a little nervous this spot is so close to my house because it's so good. But I'll absolutely be back. this place is a hidden gem in the Valley that's totally worth the stop. read more

Yesterday I ran my first Ultra Marathon, a 31.1 mile run. Craving burger and fries, I spotted Bougie Burger and decided to give them a shot. Noticing their great reviews, I was excited to check them out. First things first, I should say the gentleman that works there is a great guy. He's respectful, caring, ambitious, full of life and purpose. A wonderful person to chat with. If this review was about the staff, I'd have given it five stars. But unfortunately it's not. The problem is they present their product as bougie when in reality there's nothing bougie about it. A sidewalk pop up with no sanitary equipment for staff or customers, highly priced on nothing but a claim of using Wagyu beef. Any chef knows that Wagyu burgers are just a marketing claim. The reality is if you take highly praised marbled Wagyu and grind it, you're already destroying that famed meat, and using it for burgers doesn't add quality. An 80/20 ground chuck will do the same if not better. Now let's talk about the patties. I ordered a double. These patties are paper thin on the griddle. At 2.5 ounces, two patties weigh almost the same as a quarter pounder, which is the normal patty size at most fast food places. So paying $3 more for a second patty just to reach the weight of other fast foods is a stretch. That's how you end up paying so much for a small burger. They even charge $2 for a few slices of jalapeños if you select them. And for God's sake, $2.50 for a can of soda? None of that makes sense. My recommendation to the owner: use common sense pricing. You're a street vendor, so price accordingly, or start a brick and mortar business like everyone else. Second, if your product isn't premium, if your recipes aren't unique and great, don't call it bougie and charge like it is read more

My bf and I have come here twice already. And the owner remembered us. Of course, I didn't expect that, but it was very sweet. We are currently on a smash burger find and we have gone to quite a few. (I believe we are up to 7 already.) This one is one of the good ones. Let me tell you why. The burgers are good. And we have not been disappointed. Our order has consistently stayed the same - Super Bougie Burger Combo Meal (3 patties with cheese but we add bacon, fries and a drink) & Bougie Fries (loaded fries - smashed burger on top, chopped caramelized onions, thinly sliced jalapeños, pickles, and bougie sauce). It cost about $37 and change. This is more than enough food for the two of us. V, the owner, is consistently a nice guy when we have been there. I love truffle parmsesan fries but my bf doesn't like parm so I don't order it when he is with me. V offered me an order (on the house) so I could try it. So nice, I even told him to just switch my bf reg fries to the truffle parm fries (since my bf and I were sharing the bougie fries) so he didn't have to give us extra food, but he insisted. That was very nice of him. Also, even though we only order one combo, he still gives me a drink. I always refuse but he insists. I do appreciate great customer service. And I appreciate V who appreciate his customers. I loved the truffle parm fries. It was great! And I didn't have to share with my bf. LOL FYI, you can upgrade your bougie fries to garlic parm fries for an extra fee. :) I appreciate that the bougie fries have thinly sliced fresh jalapeños because it makes it less spicy. I wanted to love this place but idk if I can justify the prices for it. The burger was good but had inconsistent flavor almost each bite. Some bites I loved the cheesiness with the smashed burger and onions on it but other times it was just more burnt crisp and bread. No doubt about it that they use fresh ingredients here. I understand that everything is going up in price, but when you get two extra bougie burgers (two smashed patties) and truffle fries for $32 it has to hit the spot. Apparently they use wagyu but didn't taste the difference from a regular beef burger that could just be me. They have a small table if you want to sit down. Very friendly people. read more

If you were planning on going to in-n-out. Do like i did, hit up Bougie Burger instead. I've driven by this place a few times but i just never happened to be hungry when i did. I got the super bougie and truffle fries... burger is huge and the plate of fries was enough to share. Best burger and fries I've had in a really really long time. The menu is simple but they do one thing and they do it really well. Stopped by on a Friday night. They were busy but the wait was reasonable. I didn't catch their names but the two guys who made everything (I'm assuming they own the joint) couldn't have been nicer or more appreciative of my patronage. All in All, it was worth every penny!! I've been dying to try this place ever since I drove by weeks ago. I ordered two single patty Bougie Burgers. The service was excellent. The food was ready within 5-6 minutes. The patty meat was perfectly crispy on the edges, as a smash burger should be. The bun was fresh. They put the perfect amount of pickles. I also loved the flavor of the sauce.
