Cashier refused to sell scorching buffalo wings, said "we are still updating". Nothing so was fresh about our experience here. Fatburger never lets me down. The burgers are always fresh and juicy without being drippy. When burgers are too juicy the bread gets soggy and that would ruin the burger. The onion rings at Fatburger are also done cooked to perfection but you must order them "well done but not burnt to a crisp." Ordered through DoorDash about 20-30 mins ago. I ordered two burgers and one order of French fries. The order came, food was lick warm, fries were white in color(cooked in the middle but not golden at all). The mayo, vegetables on one tasted expired. The bun smelled and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The meat was barely warm, and was over seasoned (probably to cover the rancid smell of the vegetables). The other burger bun was also stale, the onions smelled like ammonia (needed to be thrown out not served to a customer). The lettuce was the same like it was supposed to thrown out, but instead they used it to make out burgers. The meat on this one didn't smell right, and no seasoning? Look I'm a cook so I know what food is supposed to taste and smell like. This place is serving spoiled and stale food. My girlfriend's stomach is really hurting now as I writing this. I dined in today and it went well, they did start to pick up once I got my food. Today I ordered the western bacon bbq burger and it did not disappoint. After visiting today, The customer service was great! The guy at the counter was very courteous, engaged and helpful with helping me choose meal items. I tried the sweet potato fries which were great. I can honestly say this has been the best fat burger I've visited since living in California. The meal was super delicious. This place gives Fat-burger its name! The vanilla vegan milkshake was not watery , the texture was perfect. The impossible burger had so much flavor including the chicken sandwich. Great job chef! I arrived at the Lake Balboa location on Saticoy and Balboa at 2:50 AM, only to be met by a female employee who told me that they were closed when my brother asked if they can make an exception being that it was 2:52 and they don't close until 3:00, she said "no, we close at 2:50" so I am advising anyone who's trying to go to the restaurant late night they close at 2:50 not 3 o'clock as advertised. Mind you I also called the restaurant 10 minutes prior to our arrival which also didn't work out because nobody answered the phone. So really I guess the hours are a mystery but if you're planning on getting food anywhere between 230 and 3:00am, I would go elsewhere being that you're most likely aren't gonna have any luck here. I can't believe I haven't tried this place till now! So used to other fast food burger spots and was never really interested till now. My bf and I went and got dinner here this evening around 6pm and the nicest, young man took our order. He welcomed us when we walked in, took our order, made sure to read it back to us AND even walked over and gave us our order even though we ordered take out! Instead of calling our name, he handed it to us and made sure to ask if we needed anything else and gave us extra ranch. Super nice and great customer service! I wish I had gotten his name but I am definitely shouting him out!! We headed home to enjoy our food and it was DELICIOUS. I didn't expect the burger to be cooked medium and it was perfect. This burger literally melts in your mouth and was a great size. The onions rings were great as well! Broke apart easily and it wasn't the kind where one bite and the entire onion comes out LOL. Fat burger is one of my favorite hamburger joints. I have been going to FB for the last 40 years when you had the choice of "charred or grilled" but always juicy, tasty, and big. In my younger age, I used to eat XXXl or the "triple fat" and was always yummy. Let me tell you this, and it might surprise some, I used to be a big fan of In N Out burger until they started to shrink in size and most of the times the patties are dry. But here, the burger was juicy and fresh as hell. The burger was dripping with juices. It was enjoyable, and the fries were crispy as requested. I don't understand it when people say "stingy." How could that be? The service was great, and the same person at the register, the same person, to bring me the food, and she asked me if there is anything else I need. The XXL is huge, 2 cooded to perfection patties, and was amazingly satisfying. Order it only if you are really hungry. My nephew, who is attending CSUN, asked me last week that he is craving a good hamburger, but not in-N-Out. I suggested Fat Burger. Later on, he told me the hamburger was amazing and enjoyed every bite and that he is hooked . If you guys hungry for a juicy big hamburger, you should go for FB. They offer skinny or fat fries with or without chili. They have a sign that says "open tell 3 AM." Now that is a bonus for late owel hungry people. read more

We had a few memorable times cause we're crazy of course. The food was good and it justified the price not so long ago. But $25 for lunch and that's the kids meal. I'm totally insulted than they think people can afford to eat there at these prices. $30 bucks for 16 wings-that's...crazy! like $2 a wing piece not a full wing. $13 bucks for a shake? $90 bucks for 48 wings parts. $10 for a chili dog?? They are no longer a haven for the weary. If I'm going to spend over $120 to feed a family of 4. I'm not going to a burger spot. The have clearly worn out the welcome mat and I'll be going to a place that has my budget in mind. But because some financial lames don't care they get away with charging auto repair prices for food. Management should listen to the recording and hear how unprofessional that employee was - 4/7/24@ 1730. It's not a big deal that they were out of a certain flavor - it's more the way it was so poorly handled. This all could have been avoided if staff communicated properly and offered a solution. Why not just tell us while we were there in person? Or better yet, give us an option to cancel the order before the food is actually prepped? I stopped in while my car windows were getting tinted across the street. The guy at the cash register was super polite and informative about the menu. The place was clean and staff was cleaning up after each table came available. When my food came to the table it was delicious, hot and put together in a professional way.
