Growing up in Monterey Park, I've been around Chinese food my whole life. I can tell might away this place has a solid menu but with that being said, the broth did not have much flavor and the filling in the dumplings don't pop with flavor. We love the food here. We've been eating here since the opening week, the business owner served us greatly that's why we were going back again and again. But today, August 19, 2023, we were very much disappointed about the service. There are at least 3 service employees, but they keep ignoring us even when our paper for ordering was ready sitting for at least 15 mins. They even served the customers after us first. We tried Get Sun Dim Sum today for lunch and it was a nice change with sweet and savory flavors. Our wait person was Angie and she was very nice. Since it was our first time she ran through the menu for us and gave us items that are popular. We loved it all but I loved the BBQ pork in the soft rice noodle and the same for the the shrimp, really so delicious. We tried 8 things sort of lunch and dinner combined. The sweet house cooked soy sauce was such a pleasure and my husband was dipping other things in it. He doesn't even like soy sauce ( he loves me) but he likes this. So very good experience. With tax and tip we spent $63 but I ordered a lot. Definitely worth coming back for, super nice family run place, clean and well taken care of. These people work very hard and absolutely care what goes on the plate, the quality is very good. They deserve to make it. Was in the area and noticed this dim sum popped up. Walked in and it's small inside and we were lucky enough to get a booth with little wait. Ordered the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, Special Beef Stew Noodle Soup and Pork Wonton in Chili Oil, and Sui Mai. All of the food tasted fresh and flavorful. We did have a small issue with the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings being brought out instead of the Sui Mai. They took the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings away and we decided to request that they take the Sui Mai off our order since it was going to take too long after we finished most of our meal. The owner came out and apologized and offered us some BBQ Pork Buns to try because of the mixup and thay was also very tasty. I've never had dim sum out of Rowland Heights/Monterey Park, so eating here was a pleasant surprise. The place is very clean, they give you a picture menu and mark what you want on a paper. It's not an extensive menu but they have what you want from a dim sum place, I like that it's not overwhelming. The beef noodle soup had the most tender beef chunks. I would give zero stars on the food. Everything came out in perfect shape , identical sizes lol. Frozen for sure. We have been looking fir a good Dim Dum place and decided to give this place a try. We were NOT disappointed! Their dumplings are delicious! My only wish is that they had Sheng Jian Bao or Pineapple buns. But their Shanghai soup Dumplings and BBQ pork buns were great. We also tried their Lava Custard Buns and OMG!! The best Baked BBQ pork bun. Everything is fresh, n fast. Service is great. Waitress comes a few times to check if we r alright. We are very picky on the rice rolls, n this place passes our qualifications. I would give this place overall a good 90%. So DELICIOUS! Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious! I especially live how their chilli oil has sesame seeds! I haven't seen this in other restaurants. Great service. And we were pleasantly surprised at the end of our meal with a free egg tart! That egg tart was so goooood! I'm definitely coming back for more! I. Especially happy that I no longer have to drive all the way to Monterey Park for some dim sum. My only recommendation would be to extend your business hours. We came in at a busy time but we were still seated quick. The owner was nice and very friendly. Servers were busy but also apologized for the wait. so happy we found this place! We finally had the chance to place an order to-go as we didn't have time to dine in. Nestled right next to my delight cupcakery, new, clean, a variety of some of the most delicious dim sum and friendly staff. we ordered about 11-12 items for about $84.00 what. a. steal! And we actually had left overs. It's been so hard trying to find an affordable Taiwanese/dim sum location in the area without having to spend an arm and a leg (China republic *eye roll* ridiculous) Upon arrival I was greeted by the hostess/workers who were friendly and welcoming. They even offered me water as I waited for my order. their beef noodle soup is my favorite! Tender and flavor was on point! the only place anyone should be ordering from!
