Full Flavor at Half Cost! I have yet to experience anything negative from this establishment. Everything from customer service, pricing, portions, and quality has been nothing short of outstanding. Tucked next to the Eastern side of the food hall, you'll find this modest selling spot. I ordered the garlic noodles and the pork belly bao. I wanted something different from their iconic dan dan noodles (try those if you haven't) and boy was I surprised. There isn't seating with them, so you must find a spot in the general area, no problems there. The garlic noodles will have real chopped garlic with a delicious flavoring that will have you satisfied with a stinky breath (not sorry) and the pork belly bao is insanely tender, you'll think you're not even chewing over how soft it is. It's garnished with a mustard topping on a steamed bun. Both of these items were on happy hour and I was fulfilled while not breaking the bank. Heads up: Misleading pricing, bad value, and hygiene concerns! I walked into Jojo's Kitchen inside Haven City Market and ordered the House Special, but the total came out to a shocking $21. The posters on the wall only show images of the food. Sneakily, they only list price tags for the small, cheap side items--the actual price for the House Special is completely missing from the posters. You don't find out the real cost until the transaction is complete and it's already too late. The real kicker is that my card statement showed the charge under "DoorDash." They are running their walk-up register through a DoorDash POS system and forcing in-person customers to pay inflated app-delivery prices without warning. They need to put a tag on the register letting people know. If they were transparent, I could have placed a pickup order through my own DoorDash account to use a discount, or just ordered their $6.25 mini bowls separately to save nearly $9. Don't get me wrong, the Taiwanese sausage is actually good, but the popcorn chicken is way too dry and the rice is not good at all. To make matters worse, I paid $21 just to get half an egg! Most places give you a whole egg, and other restaurants would even provide a free drink with a combo at this price point. Getting a half-egg and no drink for a premium price is ridiculous. If you do eat here, I recommend just ordering the small snacks or trying their noodles instead of the main bowls. The owner's attitude itself was okay, but I noticed a major hygiene issue. He was sweating heavily from his forehead while packaging my food. He really needs to wear a sweat-absorbing headband because it looked like sweat could easily drip right into the customer's food. Also, there was a younger guy in the back (maybe the owner's kid or nephew), and when I asked him a question, he walked over in slow motion acting like a gangster and talked to me like he was rapping, just saying, "Yeah." Continuing to find some of the best Taiwanese eats in the Greater Los Angeles area, I found Jojo's Kitchen with a large percentage of reviews talking about great food. Looking to try some for myself, I found myself looking at the restaurant's pictures and trying their food on a Sunday evening. For this visit, I decided to try their Braised Pork Belly over Rice ($13) with a side of Pork Belly ($7). Looking at the dish, it was made up of a few things such as pork belly, pickled sour vegetables, half of a soy sauce egg, and a bed of rice to sit on. And with the 60-70% of the bowl being rice, there was a decent amount of meat inside the bowl. For those looking for a hearty meal without too much quantity, the pork belly bowl could be a great choice. But if you need a bit more to feel full, I would suggest ordering the extra side of pork belly which gives a whole extra portion of food. With a large sum of Asian restaurants in the area, the price for both items was pretty fair all things considered. As for the flavor, there were many great parts about the pork belly bowl. The pork was very fatty and saucy which made each piece taste like a sweet soy sauce. Pairing the food with the pickled vegetables, I enjoyed the sweet and sour exchange in the dish. And with the half soy sauce egg, the dish had a grounded chalky texture that was rich with savory flavors. I enjoyed being able to have these all together in a single bowl with the neutral rice to ground the food. Jojo's Kitchen is definitely an underrated spot in the Rancho Cucamonga area. With a good price to portion ratio and great flavors with their food, this spot is definitely a solid 4 star place. The bowl comes with a generous scoop of chicken over white rice, paired with a braised egg and pickled mustard greens. The popcorn fish was undercooked and still had wet batter on it, which made it unappetizing. The entire order took nearly 30 minutes and cost over $40, which didn't feel worth it given the quality. Taiwanese food is similar, but very different from the five or so mainland Chinese cuisines. It is similar in some ways to Sichuan in spice, but also unique enough to gives us something special, like deep fried popcorn chicken. Yum My wife and I came here one evening to try Haven City Market's great foodie places. It's one gigantic food court, minus the retail mall and came away very impressed. The food options run the gambit, from various Asians foods to tasty desserts, to Hot Dogs and even a Crêpes place. But our favorite in Haven City was JoJo's. This restaurant was located inside the New Haven City food court and there was plenty of parking in the lot. They have a lot of different deals happening everyday as well for a pretty decent price. After ordering at the counter, you receive a buzzer. The food did come out quickly in 10 minutes. Dan Dan Noodle- Plenty of meat given and very flavorful! Popcorn Chicken- The chicken was in big chunks and I wished a bit more spicy. But the meat was tender and crispy on the outside. Beef Noodle Soup- They have chili sauce on the side if asked for. I ordered the Dan Dan pork rice. While the pork was flavorful, the portion was the smallest bowl I've ever ordered at any restaurant. The bowl that they served the rice in was laughable as it is clear that they looked for the smallest possible bowl to minimize costs and maximize profits. I would much rather they charge a dollar or two more than to skimp on food. Otherwise anyone who orders the bowl has to find another item to keep them full. Not only that but they ask for tips at checkout even though there is no service. So not only is the food a ripoff but they want tip for no service. read more

The pork belly bowl was ready in about five minutes, but it sat for **15 minutes** while the cook sent the cashier to retrieve a sauce for the cucumber. The cashier brought the wrong sauce, and instead of handling it himself, the cook sent her back again while he stood idle in the back. By that point, my food was cold, cold pork belly ain't it, so I requested a refund. Disappointed with the inefficiency and lack of urgency from the cook, I won't be returning to this location or giving them another chance. Don't waste your money on bad service in this economy. Operating hours on major websites like Google Maps and Yelp state they open from 11 to 9 everyday. Arrived ten minutes before 9 pm, and the lady nonchalantly says they close at 8 or 8:30.
