We arrived early and were told that the restaurant would become busy. Sure enough, within about 15 minutes, the entrance was jam-packed with people waiting for tables. We were also told that if we had waited until 11:00, we might never have gotten in! The Biscuit Basket serves breakfast and lunch only, and apparently plenty of people know to arrive early. The interior has a pleasant, country-simple décor that feels comfortable and welcoming. Even more impressive was the exceptionally friendly staff. Our server, Adrian, was personable and attentive. He checked on us several times, kept the coffee filled, and made sure the tea was taken care of. Another gentleman delivered our meals and also took time to talk with us. He asked whether we needed anything else and enthusiastically described our selections as some of their best dishes. He was not merely delivering plates--he was proud of what he was serving and continued selling the experience as he went along. The food was delicious. We had biscuits and gravy, I had an omelet, and we both had fresh fruit. Sharon particularly remarked on the quality of the fruit, and I noticed it as well. Restaurants sometimes serve fruit that is underripe or past its prime, but this appeared to have been selected carefully. Everything was fresh, properly ripe, and right on point. We also learned that the people behind the Biscuit Basket have connections to several other successful local restaurant businesses associated with Dan Costa. That experience certainly shows. From the food and service to the smallest details, everything was done exactly right. The Biscuit Basket easily earns five out of five stars--and deserves bonus credit for getting the entire experience right. It was wonderful to see a local business doing so well, and we will definitely return.

I was looking for a place for me and my girlfriend to eat and I cam across the most recent review and honestly as a business owner, you have every right to explain your side and defend your employees. But this response comes across as extremely unprofessional. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and apologizing for the poor communication, the response spends a huge amount of time defending the restaurant and criticizing the customer's behavior. What stood out to me the most was saying "we will always take responsibility" and then immediately shifting the focus toward what the customer supposedly did wrong. That isn't really taking accountability. Mistakes happen in restaurants. Running out of an ingredient happens. Miscommunication happens. Customers getting frustrated happens. A professional response would be something like, "We made a mistake, we should have communicated sooner, and we apologize." There really didn't need to be a whole explanation about the customer's eye rolling, attitude, or lack of eye contact.Reading the owner's response made me more concerned with how the business handles criticism than the original review itself.You don't have to agree with every customer, but publicly arguing with them and trying to discredit their experience is not a good look. Sometimes taking accountability and simply apologizing goes a lot further than trying to prove your customer was wrong. I hope you guys fix your emotions. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Get Toasted! Not only is it one of our favorite brunch spots, but they have also catered so many special moments in our lives!! From baptisms and baby showers to Bunco parties, they knock it out of the park every single time. The catering is always fantastic. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and something our guests consistently rave about. You can truly tell how much care and attention goes into everything they do. My husband asked the Bartender Ariella if there were any other brunch spots in the area that she would recommend since it was so busy. She said." this is the best place in town." which immediately made us change our plans and eat at the bar top! So I was skeptical, thinking we would be forgotten about Ariella made sure no matter how busy she was to show interest in our plans for the afternoon!
