Old is gold. The waitresses know you by name if you go a couple times! The menu is the tried and true, no fluff. Skillets. Sandwiches. Omlettes larger than a stomach. The hash browns! And on the sweet side..... the waffles. Ambiance is sunny, vintage 50s vibe. Seniors come and dominate the booths (early bird gets the worm as they say). Have you gone back to a restaurant that you know it wasn't good the previous time? Well the second try was as bad as the first! Now we don't need to complain about price as prices are crazy everywhere, let's talk about $3.50 for coffee $11 for 2eggs 2 & lousy toast I mean when bread is so old it's falling apart.. tax and all before tip apx $16 to leave hungry.. over at Hulu across parking lot the linguica skillet with fresh peppers / onions/ tomatoes/ cheese and potatoes / toast & coffee $13 before tip ... what's the better meal ? At the end as a treat tiny ice cream the comparison is to show meals cost more but for $20 all in you don't have to leave hungry my fault for assuming the "farmers breakfast " 2/2/2 with include some potatoes & be real breakfast nasty toast to boot no bueno read more

This place was AMAZING my daughter and I were visiting my parents and they treated us to this yummy meal. Katie was a rock star from the moment we walked in until we were patting our bellies leaving. It's a small homey place which was comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious and listening to the other guests, it's visited often by many locals. This is my favorite place for breakfast no competition. Even if the food was horrible the ladies that work there are all so nice I would still come back, seriously the sweetest group. The chef is the egg master! I like over medium well, he makes it perfect every single time. Just like the name their waffles are amazing too. And back to the service, there is no waiting for anything. They're on their A game here for sure. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

Talk about good country cooking! We ordered the chicken tenders with fries, which was done just right! The chicken was crispy flaky (not greasy) and tasted like real chicken, unlike other places. The fries here are really good too, right crunch, crisp and thickness, and tastes great with BBQ sauce. The patty melt while a little messy was not too greasy, unlike other places. The bread has the right mount of crisp and softness, not soggy at all! The amount of meat and cheese was just the right amount & the sandwich comes with a pickle on the side. The outside or inside may not look like much, but if you want good service and a smiling face to hand you a good, hearty, comforting meal on your way to Yosemite, stop on by! read more

Pretty sure the cook has zero experience. One plate was the wrong menu item brought to our table. Hardly any cheese was put on the filly and the patty melt. No onions on the patty melt. Meal took longer than expected to get delivered.....with only 8 other patrons. Restaurant was "out of fries" during lunch. read more

This is a staple for my family. Best breakfast in the area. Great food especially the specials. also ask about the salsa. It is only there sometimes but it is special. Also I can't say this enough, but best wait staff anywhere. Whether you are a regular or your first time you are welcomed as if you are family. The employees are one of the reasons we keep coming back. I don't live in the area but I find any excuse to make my way over for breakfast. Only downside is due to the size may have to wait but trust me it is worth it. read more

Small Town Diner Appeal. Farm town fancy with a great selection. The servers are friendly and always smiling (smiles are contagious and you can take them to go, at no extra charge). Bring your appetite and patience. It's busy between 9-11 and only open until 3 (still worth the wait). My bride always orders her, "make your own omelet". It's light fluffy and full of flavor (yeah, salt and spice to suit you). I always get the chicken fried steak meal (freshly cooked with eggs and hash browns. Note: a man's appetite is needed to tackle this meal.) We ride our bikes Teri this farm town to enjoy our meal and back home to work it off. Amazing breakfast place is amazing to find in Escalon . 3rd great restaurant in a little dump of a strip mall. We had a stuffed French toast and biscuit and gravy breakfast the last time. All delicious and way too much food. Waitress made a recommendation to try to accommodate what we wanted that would save us money. The waitresses are very attentive and soo nice. Me and my wife, we're going to knight's ferry we stopped at the waffle factory in ESCALON, my wife had the French toast. I had the chorizo scramble and let me tell you the breakfast was awesome. Great taste no after taste. Good food first time there I will go back. The service was excellent. People were friendly. Stopped around 10am in after dropping our trailer off at Auto Referral. We sat in booth right away, April, our waitress greeted us, gave us menus took our drink order. April was the only waitress working at that time. I ordered the cougar omelette with side of sliced tomatoes and coffee...delicious. Top off my omelette with their house made salsa, yummy. April was amazing, she waited on 6-7 tables with parties of two up to six. Can't forget the amazing cooks, food was delicious, hot, and fast. Found this gem like another poster after dropping our 5th wheel off at Referral Auto Group for service . Super friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious. I had the waffle combo and it was cooked perfectly, bacon crispy as ordered and not burnt. Egg cooked perfectly. Hubby had ham and cheese scramble and devoured it. This place is a don't miss if you are rolling through Escalon and are looking for a great breakfast. Lots of parking, super clean and great value for the money. read more

Needed food! The Waffle Factory appeased our hunger while in Escalon to buy a couple of things at Lopez Imports across the way. We seated ourselves and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the waffle combo which included a good hot, tasty jumbo waffle & syrup/butter, an egg cooked the way I liked (over-medium) and your choice of 2 pieces of bacon, a sausage patty, or 2 links. Everything was on point and delicious. I just wish the sausage patty was bigger or offered 2 of them & that I could put on the amount of butter I wanted. Solid breakfast. My companions thought their breakfast hit the spot too. Decor could be upgraded but this rarely influences me. It's all about the food and the service. Yeah, and they don't accept debit/ credit cards. I'd come back and try another item on their nice sized menu. Good spot here, try it out if you're in Escalon. read more

Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I love this location because not only is it clean, great service, wonderful tastes, but the size difference compared to other ones I have been to really seals the deal! I will always come back to this one through and through for my dessert as it is around everything and who doesn't love some delicious Ice Cream or Fro Yo as a dessert or a refreshing sweet treat on a hot July day!!!

I want to give it more stars because I prefer mom and pop places over chains anyday, but in this case, I would keep going onto Denny's. Escalon needs a good breakfast place but this isnt it. It's kind of dirty and the food is just OK. Service was pretty good and the coffee was always hot and full but kind of watery and tateless. The waffles looked good but I didn't order them, perhaps after getting the foul taste out of my mouth and they use a little more elbow grease and cleaner so it doesn't feel so dingy, I will be back to try them again. read more

Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot and will update once I do!
