This is a great brunch spot. Good seating indoors and out. My only complaint is the metal chairs are very uncomfortable. They are made for tiny people and if you aren't that you'll be hurting. Started with a Bloody Mary (tasty but weak). Food we tried was BAE toast, topped tots, and risotto balls. Way too much so a lot of it came home. Would return for the mimosa flight and more tots. Some of the mimosas were a hit/miss... I got the mango chmouy expecting the chmouy to be dripping down the glass but it's mixed with the drink... tahin on the rim might made the drink a bit better. Decided to try this spot in Riverbank for the first time to celebrate Pride Month with my parents. The place is cute, quaint and clean! The staff was very polite and knowledgeable when we had questions. My mom tried their Topped Tots, which was a nice plate to share with your party. My dad and I tried their breakfast sandwich, and honestly, it was so fresh and harty! 10/10 would recommend for a filling meal here. I also tried their Strawberry Mint Refresher mimosa. Took a drive out to Get Toasted from the Bay Area and it was worth it. The service was super friendly and items we tried were great. Coffee flight so cute and just the right amount of sweet as I am normally a black coffee drinker. Everything tastes great. I love my avocado toast. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place looks clean and modern. I would definitely visit again. The only thing I wish they could have done better is the coffee menu. They only have "basic coffee" and "specialty coffee" but doesn't specify what kind of specialty coffee they are making. Finally got seated at 12:30pm, our waiter was Marissa who we had to go up to the counter to ask at 12:50pm since no one had cared to even bring us water. After seeing an Instagram post from a friend in the area showing off an amazing looking mimosa, I just knew I needed to take a trip to Get Toasted. It was my birthday breakfast meal and I was stoked. Walking in at 9:30 the place was warm and the staff greeted us warmly with masks. The team is especially careful to remind folks to wear their masks until they are seated. We immediately had a table and began looking over the menu (which is also prominently displayed behind the hosts) which spans sweet and delectable to savory and mouthwatering I opted for a MAN-mosa whole my wife opted for a Blue Raspberry mimosa (pictured) and not only were the drinks delivered promptly but they were AMAZING. For our meals, my wife.opted for the S'mores Toast while I went for the Bloody Mary melt with a side of buffalo tots. The food arrived also very quickly and our host, Jackie R., was paying close attention to all her customers and came by to check on us multiple times throughout the meal to ensure everything was divine. She even recommended trying all of the sauces they have but was very certain we would appreciate the house-made buffalo sauce and the house-made bbq sauce. Both hit their respective flavor profiles and kicked the flavors of our meals up to 11. I'm recommending everyone give it a shot. This is a well meaning place that is somewhat misguided and not quite ready for prime time. First the "not ready for prime time" comment: we were a group of 8 coming from a 1.5 hr radius to celebrate our mother/grandmother's 84th birthday. We made prior reservations and seated at 11am. Our waitress was a real sweetheart despite the place being jam packed and her inability to visit us as often as needed. She is the reason for the generous 3 stars. Our food arrived in 2 groups, the first group arriving 15-20 minutes before the 2nd group. Half of us had to decide to eat because our food was getting cold while the other half waited. The first group was almost done before the rest of the food arrived. Unacceptable. The food was good. However, I would advise NOT going there for any more than a group of four since the kitchen doesn't seem capable of handling that many orders at once. Now for the misguided part: my sister brought a box of mini cupcakes that she passed out just as we were paying the bill. I wasn't aware this was happening and while I agree it's a questionable move, I thought 'ok', whatever. But someone in management was obviously waiting for the moment since the box was in plain view for a period of time and she pounced as soon as the box was opened and the mini cupcakes were working their way around the table during a chorus of "happy birthday to you." Funny that the place was too busy to tend to our needs during the meal, but as soon as the "alien mini cupcakes from hell" appeared, the person in charge trumped our waitress and told my sister we would be charged $2.50 for each person for bringing in outside food. Keep in mind we were just in the process of signing off the $200 bill with a $40 tip. Your customers just dropped $240 and you handled a situation with the threat of an additional bill. A nice explanation that you discourage outside food would have been a much better way to handle it. Instead, my sister collected the mini lawbreakers and we finished our party outside. Despite our lovely and classy waitress and the good food, the bad taste management left with us at the end of our meal and the fact that we had to eat in two shifts means that we won't be going back, either independently or as a group. I mentioned how I've visited here with my boyfriend in the past twice, with friends, my friends have came on separate occasions, literally multiple occasion and we have felt the same mistreatment every single time. The only time I get good service is when people I know are present working. I mentioned that my boyfriend is a veteran and the fact that he had to deal with said mistreatment (TWICE) was embarrassing for me considering how much I vouch and love the food at your establishment. You sympathized with me by telling me that you're a first gen. So the fact that you're coming on here and trying to save face without including our whole conversation is crazy. I stand by everything I said, energy and feelings don't lie. But if you want to stand by the fact that it's just poor customer service then you heavily need a staff meeting or something because having poor customer service 5+ times during my visits is beyond me.. And yes we definitely agreed I wouldn't be back but don't try to come on here and make it seem like I threw that word around without knowing the power behind it.
