No reply like "we'll work on it", "we'll see what we can do", or any response that shows they care what the clients think. Most of their response was not the true story. There are no paper towels and no towels in the class room to use. They don't allow a second review on their website either. I explained that I thought you could bring someone with you (as is the case at previous gyms I've been a member of like workout anytime), and he got aggressive and informed me in a needlessly impolite way that you can't do that. My friend asked if he could hang out while I workout but not use the equipment and he said no. Fair enough, I didn't know. So, I left because I wasn't gonna make my friend wait in the car for me or something like that, but the guy is still mouthing off behind me angrily so I just say "have a nice day man", confused by why he was overreacting like this and why this small mistake I made had escalated to become such a big deal. It certainly wasn't me who was getting upset about it. As Im walking out he shouts that he'll suspend my membership for a week, which is crazy because I didn't know about the rule he acted like it was my 100th time doing this or something. Absurd overreaction from this guy, what a joke. He actually ran out after me into parking lot as I'm leaving and called me a smartass, and for what? I literally didn't do anything and it's never that serious. Ridiculous behavior, I don't know what this guys problem is but that's not how you should treat your customers especially considering how mild my transgression was and how I left without causing any trouble or arguing about it, I literally don't know why he got so mad and had such a temper tantrum over it. Like his eyes were practically popping out of his skull he was seething so hard, it was so blown out of proportion and outlandish how he was trying to intimidate me and cause such a spectacle, it threw me for a loop. Super weird. I've been coming here frequently for about a month and I follow all the rules and clean the equipment after I use it. Maybe he just doesn't like my face or something I dunno. Crazy situation. The gym is nice overall but the hostility and unwelcoming attitude from this guy was unbelievable. Unfortunately I'm locked into a year long contract here, so it is what it is. Maybe he'll find a silly reason to terminate it early and I can go somewhere else that values their patrons.

The benches are cracked and in terrible shape. I was told the downtown location is "last on the list" to receive updated equipment all while being charged a semi-annual maintenance fee. I still don't know if that explanation is even accurate. The bathrooms are dirty. Validated parking is advertised, but not reliable. I got stuck several times because the gate wouldn't open allowing me to leave even when it was during a window that should have been free. I once got stuck in the parking garage for 30 minutes because there were a line of cars unable to validate which made me late to work. Despite multiple calls and emails, no one responded until much later, and only was a solution offered when I was fed up enough to cancel. They say they are a separate entity of the garage and don't take responsibility for it! There's more I could list, but ultimately these were my personal experiences. Based on that, I wouldn't recommend locking yourself into a contract here. I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously and it was like pulling teeth to get a call back for anything and all of this combined is what led me to cancel.

It's usually a younger gentleman upfront or a few younger females and they are always so friendly and welcoming. However the lady today looked very unapproachable, I never caught her name I just know she was wearing black, I certainly don't want anyone to be disciplined I just feel like a quick remedial training in customer service and employee relations could be helpful.

It's conveniently located just a block off Broad St. in Southside, just down from Southside Social and the Jump Park. The interior is gorgeous exposed brick and wood beam ceiling with tons of natural light. The Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment is brand new and state of the art. They have group exercise classes like Step, POUND, Circuit, Bootcamp, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, BARRE, Tabata and more. District 6 also has certified trainers for personal training. We could not be happier that we found such a great place close by. I can pull right up and park for free just feet away from the front door too, no getting in the middle of downtown hassle.
