Dr. Resh reached out to discuss everything with us. He took responsibility for the level of care my son received at Hanover Dental Care, and has taken steps to help alleviate the burden our family has faced due to this unfortunate situation. While I still am frustrated that our family has had to face significant struggles to get my son back to proper oral health, I am forever thankful that Dr. Resh treated us with respect, and ensured that the situation was taken care of. The office has assured me that steps will be taken to ensure this type of failure never happens again. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Hanover Dental Care neglected to provide adequate preventative and diagnostic care for my 6.5 year old son over the course of the past three years. Despite coming in every 6 months for preventative dental care, per the recommendations of the American Dental Association ... and per the coverage allowance of our dental insurance, my son was neglected, and left without proper dental treatments. Hanover Dental Care's complete disregard for my son's oral health led to an emergency visit with a pediatric dentist, who then urgently referred us to an oral surgeon, who IMMEDIATELY scheduled my son for a sedated surgical extraction of three baby teeth that were left to rot and decay in his mouth. Due to this office's complete and utter neglect in the diagnosis of several large cavities, and the lack of appropriate treatment of those cavities, we are now paying thousands of dollars out of pocket, and are forced to schedule our son for multiple sedation dentistry treatments in order to preserve his teeth.

I may be a bit late to this review. Hell, I don't know if Yelp was around in 2007? Either way,…read morelet's go back a few years. In the spring of 2007 my dentist in the Fredneck area recommended I have my remaining wisdom teeth removed and recommended Dr. Michael Will, who just so happen to have his office 3 miles from home. Bonus. I made my appointment and went for the consult. I don't remember this consult very much as having teeth pulled was pretty common for me. (Before I had braces I needed 10 [yes, ten] baby teeth pulled.) It was when I was lying in the chair and he finished discussing the teeth removal that my memory really kicks in. At the very end he asks me, "do you often wake up in the middle of the night and you're not breathing?" What?! Yes! How'd he know?? He goes on to tell me he has much more education than just oral surgery and goes into how looking in my nose he can tell I likely sleep poorly. Bingo. Nailed it on the head. Dr. Will could have told me about the procedure he'd like to do to improve my sleep, but he doesn't. That's the easy move and that's not him. To ensure my apnea is mechanical, versus neurological or some other version, he sends me to do a sleep study and and have more tests which take about 2-3 weeks. I don't mind this because one, I've never had surgery; it scares me and two, he's being thorough ensuring that his procedure will correct my problematic sleep. I eventually have the procedure and was thrilled. I remember laying down on the surgical table, then I have a vague memory of goofing off in a wheelchair, then I'm sitting on my neighbors couch and their kids are putting stickers all over my sweatshirt. Zero pain. None, only mild discomfort for about 4 days. On day 4 I go back to his office and Dr. Will proceeds to remove roughly 325 feet of gauze from my nostrils. (I may be exaggerating.) While it didn't hurt, it was certainly a VERY strange sensation having that much packed gauze pulled from your nose like a clown pulls scarfs from his sleeve. It's now 2019 and as he told me back in 2007, I may need the same surgery once again. I'm here leaving a note as I prep for the same surgery far away from Maryland. If I were still in the USA I'd 100% go back to Dr. Will for the work he performed.
