[[HIGHLIGHT]]Getzschman said they could help and sent a plumber to me right away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dylan was a great help. He was polite, thoughtful, diligent, and focused. He had it fixed a short amount of time, and the price was reasonable too. It was just like in the old days when people took pride in their work and they treated you great too. Hang on kids, we're going for a ride. Install for new AC and furnace. Guys are super friendly, polite, and answer all of my questions. One guy shows me pictures of his dog - awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Later that night I notice water dripping from the humidifier down the side of my furnace. I call and the on-call guy walks me though how to stop it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next day, a service guy comes out and tells me that the install guys forgot the condensation hose that connects the humidifier to the drain pipe. He connects a hose and tells me I'm good to go. He too shows me pictures of his dog - lovely. The next morning, the rug next to my furnace is wet - the drainage pipe is leaking. I call again and the same service guy comes out and tells me the install guys didn't glue the drainage pipe pieces together. He glues them together and I point out that it looks like it's still leaking. He tells me it's just water from when he took it apart and leaves. About half hour later I look, and sure enough there's a puddle. I call him and he says he'll turn around and come back. He does and tells me a thingamajig wasn't tightened at the bottom and NOW we're good. [[HIGHLIGHT]](Note: I had to leave work early twice for this.)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A few days later the electrician and a guy doing something with the gas line come out. Again, super friendly and polite. A couple hours later I notice it's getting toasty in my house. Thermostat reads 77 and there's a yellow triangle symbol with an exclamation point, that when I click on it says, "Communication Error, " to not try and fix it myself, and to contact my dealer. So I call. Again. On-call guy walks me through a reset that doesn't work, so he comes out, only to find they didn't flip the power to my AC back on. He apologized and said their notes showed they checked everything was working before leaving, which clearly wasn't true. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The final part of their installation service is called "commissioning". I have a text message stating my appointment is on Friday, May 16, between 3 and 3:30. I leave work early, arrive home at 3, and shortly after 3:30 call to get an ETA. I am told my appointment is for the following Monday at the same time. I look at my work schedule and confirm I can make it work between appointments IF he can be there right at 3.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Commissioning guy is right on time, fully explained my new unit and thermostat, and made adjustments to optimize it to my home. He was very helpful and even fixed an issue I was having with my front door, which obviously, was completely unrelated to his visit. Overall, I'm satisfied.. A very annoying and inconvenient start, but they are prompt with fixing issues. I also like their service plan (free for the first year) and that it includes every 6 months maintenance and a furnace filter. read more

Okay, my old heat pump died I believe from an OPPD surge, of course it happened during the hottest week we've been having. Corey came to the house and gave me a couple of options, based on plus or minus of my existing furnace and just replacing the heat pump, I opted for both to be replaced. Richard showed up on time, I showed him where everything is, handed him the keys and left to do family errands. I came back 5 hours later and the system was up and running, the house started cooling off right away from the 97 degree inside temp. Richard and his partner cleaned up everything explained the new system and I can't be happier. The Daykin system is so quiet that I think its off, when its not, I'll be looking forward to winter this year and not crossing my fingers. First class company and tech's, my dog is extremely happy and has claimed a register as his own. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My AC was low on refrigerant, and I really appreciated how quickly Getzschman responded -- they were able to send someone out within a few hours and got the system running well again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, I have serious concerns about the pricing. The technician said the R-410A refrigerant cost $187 per pound, when in reality it typically retails for under $20 per pound. For a 30-minute visit to add 2 pounds of refrigerant, I was charged over $500. There was no leak repair or other service included, just a recharge. While the response time was great, the markup on refrigerant and overall cost felt excessive and not well-explained. It left me questioning the value -- and frankly, the authenticity of some of the many 5-star reviews. read more

This was not at 1AM, this was 6:15 PM on a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told a tech would be calling shortly. It is 5:21 PM on Sunday, no one has called, even to follow up with me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I am sadly never surprised by poor service what I would suggest is this company stop advertising 24 hour emergency service when they clearly can't provide it. Stop looking for another repair company. I did all the research and listened to all the "up sales" from other companies when our A/C went out during the hottest part of the summer. These guys came in well under everyone else estimates for a full replacement of A/C and Furnace system. Top of the line equipment, professional services, friendly and always answering any questions. Made an appointment online to have my A/C looked at since it was not blowing cold air. Easy to schedule an appointment on their site and they got back to me quickly. The projected date they could come out was a week away, but that was to be expected given it is the beginning of the season and most people are probably having their units serviced or finding out like myself, that something is not working right. They were able to fit me in the next day and fixed the issue quickly! Ben H was very helpful and explained what he needed to do as well as how signing up for their service plan would save me money not only today, but on any future repairs/diagnostic work. He did not try to sell me the service plan, I inquired about it. The cost to repair what was wrong even without signing up for the service plan was fair and affordable. We made a service call several weeks back, and the provider came early, wore appropriate uniforms and protective booties, and was very professional. I had an issue with my heating unit the evening of Thanksgiving where it was not working. The next day, I knew there might be an issue with having a technician come and repair since it was a holiday weekend. I called Getzschman and the person I spoke with was professional and polite. She was very clear that a technician would be able to come to the house but was unsure of a time since it was a busy day with service calls. Brian, our technician called me much earlier than I had expected to inform me that he was on his way. He was great! He was very professional, fixed the issue (which was minor) and was great to chat with. Best part...I have heat again! We needed some duct work done to have vent installed in our sunroom, which previously had no heating or cooling ventilation and was unusable in the winter months. We called around to some other shops in Omaha and were told multiple times they were busy and not taking on jobs as small as ours. Getzschman came out to do a bid on a Tuesday and was able to complete the work 2 days later, on a Thursday. The guy who came out for the bid wore a mask, which I highly appreciate. No matter where you are at on the spectrum of masks, it should be a no brainer for a contractor to wear a mask when entering someone else's home. I knock them one star because the person who did the work, was not wearing a mask. The quality, speed and price of the work was excellent. As a homeowner for 10 years in the Omaha area I have used Getzschman exclusively until now. The service technicians have always been honest and great to work with. Less than a year ago I purchase a brand new heat pump after my 15 year old system was no longer viable. They gave me a slight price reduction based off their last repair not extending the life of my old system and the cost was still 15K which seemed pricey. My first warning sign was during installation the installers didn't replace the return lines to the exterior unit as quoted on the install and they took my brand new smart Honeywell thermostat with them when I told them I would purchase a new one that included humidity control and they could just install the cheap Honeywell digital one that came with the system. After purchasing the new smart Honeywell thermostat the new installer came out and said I didn't have enough wires running to their newly installed cheap thermostat, I wasn't home at the time so I dropped it but there actually was enough wires. Then just recently the exterior fan unit wasn't running and they sent out a service technician who said he found a voltage fault that was causing a problem. He said there would be no charge as it was under the 5 year parts and labor warranty. Then after this, Fred the service manager said that the labor for diagnostics is not free because I didn't sign their service agreement. Needless to say my heat pump with be serviced by another company with their G-Force sticker garbage all over it from now on. I don't know what has changed but they obviously are only looking to keep people over a barrel and not honor the work they do and the products they have already installed. read more

Our AC stopped blowing cold air about a week ago. I called around to several AC/Heating services and, due to this time of year, was told they were all booked for a couple weeks out. I called Getzschman and was told they could come out on a Monday. They couldn't make it that day and rescheduled on Wednesday. Thankfully they were able to come that day and diagnose and fix the problem promptly. Although the scheduling mishap was unfortunate, I appreciate the friendly service and fair price of the repair. Had our air conditioning and furnace replaced this last summer after our A/C died during their hottest part of summer. It took about two weeks to get the unit in and everything installed. During that time they gave us two portable A/C units to use for no additional cost. This was a lifesaver. Today, we had Nathan come out to do our free maintenence checkup. I have been so impressed with Getzschman from the very start. They have exceptional customer service, are friendly, on time, and affordable. For most of December, we were without heat. We had to call a heating professional on Christmas Eve. We thought we would try Getzschman and appreciated they have after hours calls. The technician that came out that night, Jimmy, was very professional and friendly. We were grateful to have heat! We were also grateful we could afford to pay him. We were impressed by his service and his friendliness. We then had to have someone come out a couple of days before New Year's Eve, as we did not have heat again. The technician, Josh, was not friendly. He was sarcastic when we were trying to figure out if we could go ahead and have the part (ignition board) he said we needed installed; we were trying to figure out our finances. He said "Well, if you don't do it, you'll just have to learn how to wear coats for the rest of the winter." He then commented when he was finished, "Boy, you guys have a lot of stuff." When it was time to pay, he could only get the limit our bank puts on our account out, that night. He had to bill us for the rest and he was not happy about that. We then had to call Getzschman a third time last week, as we were once again without heat. This time, a woman by the name of Stacy, came out. She was not friendly at all. She told us we should replace our furnace soon-in a blunt manner. She did not have a friendly demeanor. She was put out, because she had to park out front. She told us this time, it was a heat exchanger that needed to be replaced. She told us she needed to order the part. Fast forward to today. We once again had Josh. He commented on what my father who is retired, was watching on our TV. He asked my father who worked hard his entire life, why he and another member of the family were home, why they were not at work. He once again commented on how we have "a lot of stuff." He asked who owns the house. When it came time for us to pay, he tried to run the card that had well over what he quoted for the bill. He said it wouldn't go through. We told him there may be a limit set by the bank and to try $25 less. He tried again and said it still wouldn't go through. He then sarcastically said "I ran it clear down to $100 and it wouldn't go through." He then said, referring to the part he just installed, "You want me to take it out then?" "What do you want me to do?" We feel as if we were disrespected by a company with whom we thought we could forge a professional relationship. We are disappointed. read more

Scheduling was fantastic. Called on a Tuesday and had a tech show up Wednesday afternoon. He could have been there sooner, but I had some early morning commitments. Pat did a great job. He was very courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the problem and actually diagnosed the bad blower motor within 5-10 mins. Fortunately he had a blower motor on the truck and had it installed in about an hour. Pat also took the time to talk to me about which vents to leave open and which ones to close. Very informative. About 10 years ago I purchased a high efficiency furnace and heat pump from Getzschman. Their installation and service work have always been excellent. This January a furnace part needed to be replaced about 2 weeks after the factory warranty had ended -- Getzschman got me the part for me at no charge with only a small install charge.
