I've been coming here since my UNC days starting in 2008 and even though I'm now much farther away, I still make the drive. That says everything. This place has been a community staple for years, and I was so relieved when they reopened after the fire. The Mediterranean menu is unlike anything I've seen -- the selection is massive and everything is fresh and authentic. They also serve Turkish-style pizzas, bake their own bread daily, have a small grocery, and offer desserts. Don't skip the chocolate baklava -- perfectly baked, not too sweet, and generous with the pistachios. The owner is kind, engaged, and genuinely part of the Chapel Hill community. You One practical note: downtown Chapel Hill parking is no joke -- towing and ticketing are aggressive, so give yourself extra time to find a spot. Totally worth the effort though. If Yelp allowed ten stars, Met Deli would get every one of them.

Food is then dropped off at your table. You bus the table yourself. They want a minimum 20 percent tip. That is becoming irritating when you get no service. To the food:chicken kebabs were a bit undercooked but I had picked two delicious sides, including tabouleh. Sides were sensational. My partner also loved the sides and the pita bread. The biggest disappointment? Baklava. It was old and not freshly cooked. So no flakiness.

I had gone on a spearfishing trip to Baja and caught a bunch of yellowtail to serve at the wedding. She served it seared, on a stick, with watermelon and basil. It was incredibly creative, made an amazing presentation and was mouth-watering good. I have high standards and especially with fish. The other dishes were all amazing and we still talk about them today. Aside from the top-notch quality, Terri was very responsive in communications and her whole staff is a pleasure to be with. I'd highly recommend her and look forward to having an opportunity to work with her again in future. Terri, thank you so much for our Food Fairy wand/stirring spoon. To this day it's one of our favorite kitchen utensils.

Terri truly went above and beyond to craft a menu that was reflective of our personalities and tastes. Balancing my needs as a pescatarian with his cravings for red meat was no easy task. Add to that my southern roots and his Cuban culture and you could have a real mess! No such thing occurred, though. The appetizers and dinner presented were like a work of art - variations on a theme. We received many compliments on the food from our guests. Terri and her team created mouth-watering dishes and presented them gorgeously. Who could ask for more?

I scheduled Michelle to host the cheese and butter class for a bachelorette weekend and it was such a hit. She arrived with an assistant to set up the kitchen and even prepared a tray of delicious snacks for us to enjoy during her lesson. We had so much fun making cheeses and butters and snacking on crudites we were so stuffed we skipped our scheduled lunch. Another bonus was that Michelle even cleaned up the kitchen afterwards (my least favorite thing to do after cooking). I cannot say enough good things about her cooking lessons. This is such an amazing service and everyone that participated loved the event, I only wish she was closer to LA and I could have her host more cooking lessons. Thank you so much Michelle for being the highlight of our weekend activities!! If you're looking for a fun unique activity to try and are in the SB area I highly recommend Farmbelly Cooking School!

She brought everything we needed and transformed one of our conference rooms into a fully stocked kitchen. Although we did not have access to a stove/sink/etc., Michelle made the class worthwhile by teaching about knife skills, how to select produce, working with herbs, etc. After the workshop, she split us up into two teams for an "Iron Chef"-style competition. It was so much fun! At the end, we got to enjoy our Superpower Salad creations, as well as some extras that Michelle brought for us. I highly recommend working with Michelle and Farmbelly Cooking School!
