I ordered for pickup and my Build-Your-Own pepperoni pizza was ready in 15 minutes (there's a Barnes and Noble, Trader Joe's, and other stores in the nearby shopping center where you can browse while waiting). The pizza was delicious, especially after sprinkling on Parmesan and red pepper flakes!!! Customer service was great for pickup. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and conversation. A few couples and families were dining in. The restaurant had plenty room and, based on my quick visit, seemed like an ideal place to dine for small parties. I scored an incredible buy one, get one free deal on Uber Eats and got two 13" Vegetariana pizzas for about $26--easily one of the best pizza values I've found in Cary. The pies arrived hot with that signature thin, wood-fired crust that's perfectly crisp on the outside while staying chewy inside. The toppings were fresh and generous, especially the huge chunks of marinated artichokes, which really stood out. The mushrooms, spinach, grape tomatoes, mozzarella, and Pecorino all came together beautifully without weighing the pizza down. We told the waitress that but she just read us the menu, no explanations about their pizza. We ordered the grill chicken but it only had one small piece of chicken per slice. Disappointed on our first trip to V Pizza, Cary. Went in hopeful when I observed the wood fired oven in back. Crust was very good as was the expected Char. Unfortunately the expensive topping were spare. ( not sure it even covered middle third, and I noted 2 slices with only one piece of chicken near middle. Could not even see any red sauce, nor spinach. Grilled chicken rather bland so flavor only came from char and hot peppers added. Too bad as they have a great location, good kitchen space and nice bar. With such an oven they should be getting 5 star ratings. read more

This is the classic 3.5 star review. So I'll round up since the staff was quite nice. I came for lunch and let me say this, that is the best time of day to come. They offer some really good deals and combos every day during lunch hours. So for my order, I started with a house salad. It was pretty decent (spring mix, tomato, cucumber, Italian cheese), but nothing too out of the ordinary. I then got the salsiccia pizza with tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, spicy Italian rope sausage, roasted bell pepper & onion mix, topped off with some Calabrian pepper oil. Not the pizza to get if you're not into a little bit of heat. But it had a nice bite to it and I liked the variety of flavors. Drinks did take a little bit of time to get refilled, unfortunately. Came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. From the beginning, everybody was very welcoming and you could tell the ambience is more family oriented. We got the wings for starters which were absolutely delicious as they are grilled to perfection and very juicy. Over the years, we've done V Pizza so many times but recently I've dined there twice in-house and 3 take outs. Their pizza is outstanding. Think about a superb thin crust almost so ridiculous to believe the toppings would hold up without it falling back on ya. Really- this is perfection at its best. The ingredients are clearly the stars of the show because they reflect in the quality of the pizza. Bring it home and airfry at 350 for 4 mins and you're almost 80% close to eating it fresh in the restaurant. The beer collection is pretty solid and adds to the pizza eating experience. I wish they hold some beer specials in the week- or would definitely sweeten the deal. I've never had agony using the go play save coupon from school fundraisers (I used it twice). I've always tipped to the total amount but even before knowing that, I've had wonderful service from the staff. We love Margherita and we've had a fierce battle at home for the signature vs Classico. The winner is- BOTH! If you are adventurous, get the pizza with Calabrian paste on it and the heat will make you wonder what new food heaven just hit you. Parking is easy and the vibe is friendly and chill. V pizza is a stellar pizzeria and I highly recommend everyone gives them a try. "Our San Marzano tomatoes come from the rich, volcanic soil near Mount Vesuvius ". Wow. So my expectation was HIGH. We ordered salads, their famous Cryin Hawaiian wings and our pizzas. The food took a long time to come but I figured they went to get those tomatoes . Yum . We ordered a house and a ceasar salad. Both were decent. The wings were undersauced and warm, not hot. They were pretty good but we asked about the sauce and the waitress said they use a thin layer of sauce. Now for the star of the show- the pizza! I was soooo disappointed. We ordered the Mediterranean on cauliflower crust and the Carnivore. Both were DRY! Where's the sauce? Those tomatoes? I asked the waitress and she said they don't spread the sauce like other pizza joints do. They put it in a circle and I guess the spots that don't have sauce just don't. . I asked for marinara sauce to help me swallow all the bread and meat. That made it a bit better. The crust was hard not chewy. Overall I was sorely disappointed and $46 poorer. It was definitely not worth the price. Ten wings was $20! Oh. The service was ok. Our waiter came back only once after taking our orders. We had to ask the other staff for ranch, napkins, to go boxes, etc. I probably won't go back to this one, but may try the one in Brier Creek. I'm so tired of being charged extra for allergy items. This place takes the cake. I am sensitive to gluten and very lactose intolerant. I am used to ridiculous upcharges, but this is wild. I ordered a Pepperoni Rustica. It's usually a 13-inch pizza serving 2-3 people and selling for $19.50. I got a 10-inch pizza and had to add $2.50 to sub vegan cheese. So my total was $22 for a tiny, flat pizza. See my pictures. So, I'm charged a 13% increase for a 23% smaller pizza that I can eat due to my food allergies. That's some ridiculous math. It has a gluten-free menu. They do not upcharge for the gluten-free crust but only give you a TINY Udi's crust ($6 retail). I'm so tired of this. It's unfair to charge when this medical condition isn't a choice. The wings are tasty, tho. So. There's that. Also, we ordered takeout, and they messed up the timing, so it was done 10 minutes early, but they said half my order was done by accident, so I waited another 10 minutes to leave with 20 minute cold food. read more

We went here on a Friday at about 6:45 pm. We entered and waited behind 3 couples for a hosttess to seat us or take our name. After about 7-8 minutes we were acknowledged and then seated within 5 minutes after that. They looked short staffed. The food was good but not great. The bruschetta app with the mozzarella and tomatoes was very good. We ordered the margherita and a carnivore pizza. The Margherita pizza was light on the cheese but tasted above average. The carnivore was meh and average at best. Just didn't taste good and the siopresatta tasted like they picked it up at wal mart. The service was decent as the guy was waiting tables and working the small bar. He was busy and doing his best. When he brought our bill out we had a coupon. And gave that to him with the bill and my card. The coupon was From the Go Play Triangle book we bought from a neighborhood kid. He put the coupon in but decided to charge us 18% gratuity after adding the coupon on the adjusted bill. No idea why he would charge gratuity on a party of 3 other than the fact he must've thought I was cheap for using a coupon. Still threw on a few extra $$$$ to bring the tip a little over 20%. Moral of the story is I felt insulted that this guy thought it was ok to add a gratuity to a bill for 3 when they have a sign when you walk in that gratuity will be charged on parties of 7 or more. I did give him a couple extra dollars on top of the 18% as I typically tip close to 25% for food and drinks. The service. Was good but I'm not going back there after that crap. Don't have your coupons in a widely distributed and sold book if you are going to act foolish. Not going back and sadly that's probably the 4th or 5th time I've been there. I had one piece only. I didn't like it. Bread felt under cooked, the garlic salt on the bread and greens didn't taste too good and didn't really taste the lemon on the greens. Waitress came to ask if the pizza was good. I said no I didn't really like it. I was okay paying for it, didn't make it a big deal about it. !!!!! The manager came out moments later to tell me he will be taking off my meal from my payment!!!!! Took me by surprise! And asked me if I would like something else.
