Terrible! I brought in my old Honda with a power steering fluid leak, for which they charged $189 just to look at it with the amount to be deducted from the repair. Fine, I knew it had a leak. Instead, they find a whole bunch of other issues for which they charged me $2,300! I paid it (CASH!!!! because they charge extra for credit cards! truly bad sign). They refused to deduct the $189, saying that repair wasn't included. HUH??? That was why I brought in the car! So I end up witha bunch of MINOR ISSUES repaired for an ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNT and not the serious issue for which I paid a whopping $189 look-at fee. This business model doesn't make sense to me. Of course, they are unapologetic. I feel totally ripped off. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of mechanics who actually do what they're supposed to and for a lot less. Awful business. read more

I took my 2020 Volvo XC90 to get some lowering links so it have a meaner and better stance on the factory air suspension. Everything was smooth adjusted as much as possible without the factory sensors going crazy. Great customer service. Hella quick install job. I came to Ghost for a major build on my BMW, I advised them that I was seeking 3 things in this build, Fast, reliable, and able to pass smog. Granted it was during COVID so things went very slow but communication was very poor. Once I finally got the car back I followed instructions for the break in process on the rebuilt motor, however, after returning the car for the final oil change I was told it was ready to be driven and even raced if I want...within a month the car developed a rod knock, Ghost did not stand by the work as they charged me for parts and a mysterious charge for labor to correct their error. I should have listened to the guy that posted the review stating they farm all of their work out....my car still is unable to pass smog....$35K and I have an expensive paper weight... beware. read more

Ask for Garrett, he's the man. I have been eyeing this place for a couple years but had a friend with a hookup at a more local repair shop who would do aftermarket work as a favor to friends. My girlfriend recently got a car and was looking to do some work over the next several months so I recommended she check Ghost out and could not have been more surprised, in the best way possible. I know I found my new place. First Impression 5/5. The first thing you will notice about their cars out front is taste. You see some cars on the street that are way overdone, some that could use more work, but at Ghost they know just how far to take it with a new ride. I have a few project cars I would like to tackle in the next couple of years and now I know where I will be taking them. Style: 5/5. One of the younger guys (younger meaning my age) is Toshi. The most important thing when you leave your car with someone else is to know that they are going to treat it as well as you would yourself. When you meet people with such a passion for cars you know you're in good hands. Toshi seems to know the answer to every question you have and apparently has a pretty sweet mustang himself according to my girlfriend. Knowledge: 5/5. We picked up her car today (after only one night) and her old wheels with the tires on them weren't ready to be picked up. This sounds like a complaint until you realize it's because they're taking the time to wrap them and build boxes to fit them so that they are easier to transport, and they know we will be back next week for the next modification. I love this place. I went here needing new tires and wanting new wheels. I figured if I was going to pay money for new wheels I mights as well go all out and make them pink! Besides knowing I wanted something simple and pink I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily Eric did everything! He found a wheel and tire in my price range, took my idea and made it happen. BEWARE!!! ZERO STARS! Do not do business with Ghost Motorsports. I was without a car for 19 days because of their negligence. My G Wagon was taken here without my knowing by an individual working on it, for a simple Code Reset. The Manager Garrett Stafford decided to take my vehicle off site without my consent. He drove it to a Residential address (I found out via my cars GPS). He claimed it was where they take high end overflow cars, total BS it's a small home with a tiny driveway. Garrett then LOST my Key to my car and could not locate it. He later towed it back to the shop when I found out about my cars location. My car was then towed to the Mercedes dealer after that. When I finally got a hold of Garrett he tried to minimize the incident and said it was a simple mistake and that the key would be replaced, which later was but It was a special order key that had to be shipped from Germany. It took 19 days to come in. I had asked Garrett to provide me a loaner vehicle as they have a Ghost Motorsports rental company or pay me to rent a car myself but never heard back from Garrett ever again. I tried calling the shop but they would always say he was out and to leave a message. I also tried text & email. I was out of a car for all those 19 days because of him losing my key. To this day Garrett has never reached out to me to make the situation right. This situation goes to show how they treat people and their cars. They even had the nerve to put a Ghost license plate on my car even tho they never worked on it. With so many choices to get your car worked on in LA don't ever go here...period. Even at the dealerships they are overpriced. I love this place, such a great team of people as well. Called in to make an appointment but didn't even need one, they told me to come in that same day. Service was quick and easy, didn't have those long wait times that others places do, and it helps that they have sexy cars parked around. Ask for Danny, he was very helpful, I came in for a service and he and his team helped me out with everything. These guys are true pros. I got into an accident just across the road from them and they kindly offered me to park my car there for no fee. They had no expectations that business would be put through them, but because of their kindness I opted to use them. They did an amazing repair job on my Lexus. They communicated with me all the way and even supplied me with a rental in the last few days (after my insurance rental one back) because there was a slight imperfection that they wanted to fix for me. I was a little nervous being a female that they would overcharge but the rates were very fair and comparable to what I would spend in Michigan. Brought in my brand new 2014 Panamera Turbo for exhaust job only to get ripped off. They quoted me $1200 for muffler, X Piping, and replacing the resonator. When I got done, I've found out they only replaced my muffler when I brought it to a friends garage. I'm seriously debating if I should report these people to the Better Business bureau for fraud. They later explained to me they had to source out the job and that is why they have charged so much. These guys work only as a middle person in any custom work. They don't have specialists on site. FYI the muffler job with a cheap brand they installed should have costed at most $500 installed. The guy that handled my business was Alex. He was unpunctual showing up for work and very incompetent. Making an appt and showing up 20 min late is unacceptable. He later on tells me I was being too "rigid" and I need to cut him a break. They have offered me to fix the car to my liking on the exhaust but now I don't trust them with my car. I don't feel secure about bunch of middle men who are incompetent about performance cars handling my car. I would never recommend these guys. They are amateurs at best and they also don't run an honest business. read more

... Shame, there's no, "zero star" option. I brought my car in to have a mild exhaust fix. Something that could've been simple. Not only was the work just horrid, they don't even do exhaust work in-house! So I was charged for Ghost to do parts and labor, but my car was then driven 5 miles to a private exhaust shop on La Brea. So the first attempt at this fix was sh!t. Bends and kinks and it looked bent with a crowbar. Second attempt at the fix, I flat out told them to start over, and put parts correctly on my car (extra piping off the engine was installed incorrectly). After much hovering, and hawk-like watchfulness, they got it right. But I wasted MY time the 2nd time. (Bear in mind that this isn't even AT Ghosts' shop) Don't let the "Motorsport" in the name deceive you. It's not a race shop, nor performance shop. It's a showroom... It should be Ghost Wetintyourwindowsandinstallcarstereosandphatassrims(yo)foryourrideandallwhilebeingcompletelyoverprIced-sports. I'd also like to add that I gave them time to respond and make it right before I posted this review. Don't waste your time with this outfit... Not worth considering at all. read more

I bought a set of HRE wheels on closeout and needed a place to get tires, install, and lower my Mercedes. I found Ghost Motorsports online and one of the partners, Danny, took care of me from the first call. Great communication through email, fast and detailed responses, great prices and service. He treats you like family. As a matter of fact, all of the employees there are respectful and you can tell management is top notch. They installed lowering links and let me decide how low I want it and gave their expertise about the perfect compromise between aesthetic and comfort. Then, Danny drove my car on the freeway and over some speed bumps in the residential streets to ensure there was no rubbing before charging me a dime. These guys are a class act and i'd highly recommend them. Oh, they also have a service center next door to for plain service or more serious work on these cars. read more

I brought my clk320 here in 2006 and they were Great !!! I took my wifes pasat wagon there just two days ago and was spoken to in a condescending manner that made me feel like crap. I kept giving the jerk (the guy who sits in the desk closest to the door on the right) a chance to be nice and treat me with some respect, but that didnt happen. In the end I decided that it would be better to take my car somewhere else. That guy is reason I didnt bring my car, and will never return again. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
