Three of us dined here for lunch and couldn't have been more pleased! Glancing at other tables with what appeared to be delicious fare, it's tough to decide on one or two things. The menu was also chock full of tempting small plates, pizzas, entrees, pastas, that we decided to split our meals, salad and dessert. We started with the Italian Farm salad of cheese and salami slivers, orange tomatoes, yellow peppers, roasted cauliflower with a balsamic vinaigrette followed by chicken milanese (accompanied with a pesto linguine), a Margherita Pizza, Vodka Pasta and one of the most decadent brownie's with fudge sauce and vanilla gelato. Yum! Everything was so delicious as the plates were beautifully presented. With friendly, attentive service from Michelle, we couldn't have asked for more. Gia Mia is always a go to when I'm stopping home in the burbs! It's fairly new to the Wheaton restaurant strip, but has been a great Italian addition! I would recommend trying the ricotta honeycomb as an appetizer! When they say honeycomb, they are not exaggerating, it is a literal honeycomb, prepare for sticky fingers! As an entree, I went with a pasta dish, Pacherri Vodka, giant noodles, flavorful sausage in a vodka sauce. TO THE OWNERS: I would suggest you consider changing the name a bit, like to Gia Mia Tapas bar. The "pizza" in your name conjurs a completely different idea...the idea of just one more of the too numerous pizza places all over Chicagoland. Your name denotes a sense of "me too"...I think you would get a more accurate message out if you replace "pizza" with "tapas". Keep the menu the same, just change the name. Tapas conjurs a more healthy, up-scale, more authentic (to Mediterranean countries) idea that I believe will pull in more customers, and not turn off the anti-pizza weight-wacthing clientele. read more

Gia Mia is an amazing little find in downtown Wheaton! The kale salad was the best I've ever eaten. Perfectly dressed. Delicious. All of their grilled pizzas are amazing. Light and airy crust with the finest and freshest ingredients. The shrimp small plate was fantastic. Cheese platter with dried fruits was perfect to start. I've gone here for both a girls night and with my husband and my two young children. Even with my kids the staff was so kind and patient. They have a nice little menu for the kids as well. I see reviews about pizzas at Gia Mia and they are positive which really startles me. My experience is entirely the opposite. Last night a couple of friends and I had pizzas at Gia Mia and were totally disappointed. All three of us found our pizzas to be simply awful. They were sticky, yucky,gooy, uncooked and could hardly be cut with a knife. Nothing resembling a decent pizza. Domino's would have been better. None of us finished our pizza and we all agreed to never eat pizza again at Gia Mia. The service was very good and professional and the facility was nice and pleasant. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I can not understand why other pizza eaters liked Gia Mia's pizzas. Go find out by yourself. read more

Went on a Thursday night. Two adults and two teens. Seated right away. Great service. Lovely wine selection. My mom and I did three small plates: ZUCCHINI FRITTERS; great flavor, but they were fries not fritter. PROSCIUTTO SAN DANIELLE; loved it, though the artichoke and fennel was missing. They have call ahead seating and allowed me to call ahead three days early for a party of 7 for my daughters' 30th birthday. We then waited for longer than anyone else and they tried to seat us at a table that wouldn't have fit 5 comfortably with no room for the food plates. We then waited another 20 minutes and were the last waiting. Lots of apologies, but I would have rather had an honest appraisal of the difficulties in seating large parties and come here at another time. My wife and I live In Wheaton. We eat at all the restaurants and see a lot of them come and go. We were excited to try Gia for the first time. Its just what we need in DT Wheaton. We did last Sat 5-30. We didn't have time to eat-in so we ordered food to go. The bad stuff- WOW what a disappointment. My wife's tiny portion of tiny shrimp pasta was sticky and un-cooked. I had giant rigatoni with vodka. it was good however the count was 12 pcs for $12...really? that's a joke. Pasta is the least expensive dish on earth. No napkins, No plastic ware, No bread. The good stuff- Hostess... excellent. Perfect front person. Wait time 15min. I set my phone timer. They were on the mark. Bill was $36. Good luck Gia. Your gonna need it. read more

Their margarita pizza is SO GOOD. The inside of the restaurant is very modern and they have plenty of seating and even have a few tables outside. They serve more than just pizza but I highly recommend their margarita pizza! They have wonderful servers and a great atmosphere. Definitely go give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

Went here on a Friday night for dinner. We did not sample any of their pizzas, however, we tried many of the small plates and most were very delicious. Our favorites included the calamari, oysters, and smashed potatoes, and their garlic bread. We did not care too much for the meatball or shrimp plates. I honestly don't know the last time I went to a restaurant and every single thing was PERFECT!! The food was beyond delicious, and the service top notch as well. We probably got to many items because everyone sounded so good we couldn't resist. But boy can't wait for those goodies we brought home to be eaten tomorrow!! Gia Mia makes some of the best Italian food in the suburbs! My husband & I have ordered carry out from here about 5 times since Covid began & we've been happy with our food every time. The meatballs & polenta are one of our favorite appetizers. The polenta that's served with the meatballs makes the appetizer unique & provides a nice creamy contrast to the meatballs & flavorful tomato sauce. My favorite pasta is the paccheri vodka! My husband has enjoyed the chicken Marsala & pesto shrimp linguini when he has ordered them. The Tuscan white bean soup is also one of our favorite starters here too! Back in May, we ordered the multi-course prixe-fix Mother's Day meal for 4 & that was awesome! The fish course was well cooked & we enjoyed trying their desserts too! The strawberry shortcake wasn't too sweet & the sauce that came on it was a nice tart contrast! We ordered tiramisu too & that was great too! The pick up process for all of our orders has always gone smoothly as well. Looking forward to dining-in at Gia Mia soon & trying out the pizzas! read more

Food and prices are good. My biggest complaint is their nicely stocked full bar yet complete lack of good cocktails on the menu - they only have two, and neither are good. My friends and I were looking for a new place for dinner and went here based on the great Yelp reviews. We were glad we went. The focus here is pizza with some small plates, pasta and veggie dishes. Beer and cocktail is very limited but they had choices we were happy with this time. A lot of wine choices. We ordered the Tuscan bean dip and charred cauliflower as starters. OMG! They were both utterly amazing! Bean dip came in a little jar with plain pizza crust t spread it on. The crust was thin, crispy,chewy and great with the dip. The charred cauliflower was heaven in veggie form. There was some grilled radicchio and pine nuts and some honey that made it all taste amazing. It was our fave item that night.we ordered three pizzas, the veal meatball,burrata and arugula ,and wild mushroom. They were all really good. My only quibble would be that the burrata needed more burrata on it. There wasn't much so you really didn't get a good taste of this wonderful cheese. I definitely will be back. read more

Monday night I had surgery and we ordered Gia Mia. My wife with 3 kids went to pick up the food. They forgot to put some of the items we ordered. The staff went out of their way to not only call us several times to apologize, but they delivered the food, flowers for my wife, and gave our family a free dinner for the mishap. The food was very good but our pasta dinners were very small. Not much noodles for a 20 dollar meal and definitely not any leftovers. This is terrible. The taste of the pasta was amazing but not enough to fill you at all. We would definitely come back if there were more noodles! A kid size would be accurate.
