I was looking for a real nice upscale place for my girlfriend's 40th bday. Really glad we found this place. First off, the inside is really nice. The open kitchen is really cool. The lights and the big screens are a nice touch. It was a good vibe. All the workers in there were polite and seemed like they were always on point. Now to the food. We started off with the calamari and the truffle parm bread. Both were good. The calamari had a little kick. And the truffle parm bread was truffling. Crispy and cheesy. For the main dish I had the steak tips with mash potatos and creamed spinach. My girl had the scallops and risotto. Both were slamming. The steak tips came with a chimichurri sauce that I need bottled up and sent to me asap. The scallops were a little salty but were cooked perfectly. The risotto was really good but very rich. For drinks I had mocktail and my girl had a tres leches martini which was pretty much her dessert. She loved it. All in all I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food. This is a tough review for me. Been eating and drinking and Yelping forever. I loved the vibe at the bar. I loved the music. I loved that almost all the patrons (and staff) were 20-30something. I wondered how they're affording the price points and the likelihood Giana can be sustained in the area. The drinks were good--but I'm not in Boston or NYC and I don't wanna be either. All our apps were delicious with one small issue--and I feel as a Calabrian descendant , I can say that the pizza crust was flat--needed salt and lacked a yeasty rise and chewy bite. The toppings on the Mozambique rib eye were amazeballs, but the crust didn't match up. That's my suggestion to the kitchen. The calamari was deliciously spicy in the way your face tingles but you can't stop eating. The hummus platter was fresh and offered generous bread to enjoy it. The rosemary chicken wings were outstanding and perfectly seasoned. I was one $17 cocktail in before noticing they offered espresso martini flights (mentioned nowhere on the menu that I could see. You might want to lead with THIS! I'm giving 4 stars for food and service, but 3 stars for pretentiousness of pricing! I'll drink elsewhere and enjoy a more cost effective buzz! read more

The food at Giana's was absolutely incredible. For appetizers we got Mozambique calamari (a favorite), burrata, and grilled zucchini salad (yummy, but the zucchini could have been cooked more). For dinner I got steak tips cooked medium. They were to die for! Dessert was okay. We split a turtle cheesecake and a chocolate layer cake. Now for the annoying stuff.... I booked through open table for a table of 10. Yes, I know it is a big table. I confirmed the reservation the day before. The day of, the restaurant called me 3 times to confirm my reservation. Some of our party arrived early, and they would not seat them. In fact, the called me again and said if the party wasn't there by 6:15, they would cancel the table. Mind you, 6 of us arrived before our 6pm reservation and the other 4 arrived at 6:02. I was very put off by that. Then, after we cashed out and we're finishing the last of our drinks, our waitress came over to us apologizing that she forgot to charge us for a few items, so we had to run our cards again. Not that we were trying to get away with free drinks, but it was in poor taste. We asked to sit outside for an after dinner drink since we were rushed to cash out in the dining room. Our sake waitress took care of us and immediately cashed us out after one round. At this point, it was only 9pm and the restaurant was supposed to be open until midnight. Then, we asked another waitress if she wouldn't mind taking our picture. Her response was, "sure, it's not like Im taking care of any large tables in the dining room or anything." She had pink hair. We were all so put off by her. Now, since we arrived early, we did have an opportunity to sit at the bar for a drink, and the male bartender was fabulous. He recommended their house wine and was kind and patient. The hostess. Rude. Our waitress. Sweet but passive aggressively pushy. The other waitress. Rude. Food. Amazing. The vibe in this place is really cool and they have a ton of options for food! The service was very quick and attentive when each of us were running low on water. The fried calamari and scallops were really good but I'd like to come back to try more of the apps. We got the chicken piccata and scampi, both had the proteins cooked well but the sauces weren't up to par. The piccata was a little on the heavy side and the scampi sauce was too light or "soupy". Went there last night took waitress a little bit to come to our table after we were seated. Noticed a gentleman standing by bar and was kind of in the way of the workers trying to get by. he didn't move and was on his phone by two others sitting at bar. We have been by this place for a while and never could get a tike to stop. We finally got to try it and it didn't disappoint. Atmosphere is really cool. It is a bit dark, but they do have little table lamps they bring over. The walls are a big LED screen that had fish swimming which was really cool to watch. Our server was great, I always ask for no ice in my water. I tell them I am like a camel and bring more soon. She actually brought me 2 glasses to start and kept filling them up! I ordered a spicy Tuna roll as an app and my wife ordered the salmon corn fritters. The tuna roll was great, and presentation was cool. For my dinner I ordered the bone in Ribeye. It was amazing! My wife ordered the chicken parm, but with Alfredo instead of red sauce. Amazing! We will be back. My ONLY regret is I didn't have room for dessert! read more

Love love love. The ambiance of this restaurant is casual yet refined. The actual decor is gorgeous. Massive tvs NOT FOR SPORTS but for cool videos of Chinese fighting fish. The food was incredible. The drinks were outstanding. The bar is massive and beautiful. I would say it's a touch pricey but for what you get it's absolutely worth it. This was my first time going to this establishment. I made a reservation on open table and was seated upon my arrival. This establishment had nice decor but was a bit dark. The staff were friendly and made recommendation when asked. The drinks were delicious; the sugar cookie martini really tasted like sugar cookie and is great if you prefer sweeter drinks. The honey hot pizza was delicious but was not hot at all. The king crab fritters lacked flavor and needed the sauce to help it out. The scallop wrapped in bacon were cooked perfectly. The short rib reduction was so salty I couldn't even eat it my meal. I told the waitress and she said "oh no" and that was the end of that. My son had a terrible experience here he always goes here with his wife and my nephew goes there. My son was taking his wife in there for her birthday. he happened to bring his friend who is African-American with him and the people at Gianna said that they smelled like marijuana which wasn't true, but they went back to the car. I put hand sanitizer on their hands sprayed cologne. And went back in. It was the people next to them that that smelt. anyways, they were gonna spend $500 there and ended up going to Ocean prime and spending 500. my son said it has great food usually good service but not that day. read more

Was excited to try a new option in Easton. Giana's didn't disappoint. I went in for lunch on a weekday and we were seated right away. There are some giant TVs in with repeating videos of fish swimming which I thought was fun for a more high end restaurant. Going for lunch is a good move if you dont want to pay premium prices. There was a large selection of different things to choose from. I had the vodka sauce, pesto, chicken sandwich with truffle fries. I think it cost like $17. It was delicious and the fries were full of flavor. They had an extensive pizza menu as well. I'm giving this a very generous three stars because the food is not horrible but everything is horrible in my book. This is personally the last place I would ever go to eat or simply even want to be in. It is LOUD AF in here thanks to concrete floors and walls. Tables and everything jammed together with mindless techno-dance "music" blasting. Dishes clanging and banging nonstop and reverberation of chairs screeching along the concrete floors and all sounds echoing throughout in this huge one-room "open concept" bar/restaurant nightmare. Lots of young people here so I guess they like this. To be here is utter torture and impossible to relax and talk or anything. The furniture is physically uncomfortable AF and it is beyond me how anyone would actually enjoy this place or moreover spend money to be here. In all fairness, this place "tries" to be cool, and the service people are nice and kudos to anyone who could work in a zoo like this and appear happy. The food is expensive AF and portions are teenie and drinks are expensive AF too. My Wild Boar Pasta was 36 bucks and had a few shreds of meat in a pasta with cheese and it was just meh, not bad but just meh. And the "presentation" was just sad (see PIC). The scallop app was five scallops for 21 bucks. We dined outside in the freezing cold because it was almost two-hour wait to get a table inside this hellhole. Not my thing but obviously people must like this place because it is jam packed. It seems to be run pretty well, and it gives an attempt at making decent food, so I give them credit for trying. I am honestly disturbed by my experience here. My sister, brother in law, and I came in for drinks and appetizers and were seated without issue. Shortly afterward, a man who identified himself as a manager approached my sister and me and asked us to put on perfume because he claimed we smelled like weed. What confused me most was that he directed this comment only at my sister and me, while completely ignoring the man sitting at the same table with us. Neither of us smokes marijuana, so the accusation was both inaccurate and embarrassing. Even if we had smelled like marijuana, recreational cannabis is legal, and I found the way this situation was handled to be inappropriate and unprofessional. Instead of treating us like valued customers, we were made to feel singled out and judged. The experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. She immediately said she still has to charge us for it. Every time I go to Gianas the food is always good! I've challenged myself to try new things and this recommendation from the waitress was amazing! We had a reservation and the place was packed and had an interesting vibe but was so incredibly noisy we could barely hear each other and it was very dark almost too dark to read the menus, additionally the chairs were very uncomfortable. We ordered drinks and then placed our orders for dinner we got the steak tips and the short ribs where we were informed we only had 90 minutes to eat and leave, I have never in my 56 years been told this anywhere I have ever gone. The food was very good and tasty the portions were not huge but very good sized for most. The waiter was disinterested and inattentive. Food was very good. Waitress was very good. Management was rude and appalling. What good restaurant manager would come to a table and tell them that the table you are at is needed and we will need to move you(with no thought on how to communicate this pleasantly or with customer satisfaction). We were celebrating 63rd birthdays with lifetime friends and enjoying a good dinner when the manager told us we need to move. He referenced fine print on reservation that says we are limited to 2 hours. We weren't aware of this and it had only been 90 minutes from when we were seated, and hadn't received our dessert yet when he told us. Regardless of this, the table of professional grown ups were poorly (appalling communication style) told to move and never received our coffee and dessert that had already been ordered until we refused to leave the table. When we received the coffee it was in to-go cups and they said they'd give us dessert to-go. After complaining about to-go, we received real dessert. Really??? Why get us To-go if the intent was moving us to another table. If manager had just taken a friendlier approach we would not have been upset. The poor waitress who was fabulous was even confused. All 5 of us are world wide restaurant customers. We all agreed that we have never seen such poor communication and rude approach from a restaurant. I left my phone number on the bill. I offered to the manager to take a call if he wanted advice on how to communicate to customers better. On top of all this the restaurant added 20 % tip (large party....there were only 5 of us) which at least goes to the waitress. The food in the two times I have been has been absolutely delicious - especially the tuna cannoli and the espresso martini flight. Service both times has been slow - the second time was lunch and we were one of maybe three tables and luckily were catching up and not in a rush to leave. The irony is when it's busy the waitstaff will tell you there's a 90 minute limit. Definitely a great place for a date, girls lunch / dinner, or a solo cocktail at the bar. We had a great anniversary dinner at Giana! We made a reservation, and they were ready to seat us when we arrived . The good - The place is beautifully decorated and set up - we sat in the Gold Room (which is a smaller room off the main dining area). Food was excellent - we had the loaded hummus appetizer, a kale salad bowl, and a chicken parm - all delicious. Great cocktail selection - and the bar is obviously doing well as it was extremely busy . The not as good- it's VERY loud inside. It's also a bit dark ( we like this but not everyone does - they did offer a small table lamp if you'd like one) and the runners seem a bit inexperienced, like they don't know the table layout . Runner brought our food to another table before us , then came to us with someone else's dessert a few minutes later . Waitress was personable and polite. Decided to check out this restaurant and despite the cool ambience, it was a disappointment. The menu presented an eclectic assortment of entrees. I settled on the chicken piccata, and my friend chose the truffle pasta with chicken. Honestly, I think they used the same sauce on both and just tossed capers into mine. The food was mediocre at best. But the biggest disappointment was the Caesar salad that we decided to split. It was a huge portion, easily split between two people, but each of us took two bites and didn't want any more. It tasted like they had put thousand island dressing on it. Easily the worst Caesar I've ever had. The chicken on the entrees was at least tasty and tender. And our server was very nice. But quite honestly the best part of this overpriced meal were the delicious complimentary melt-away after-dinner mints near the exit. read more
