Great friends, good food, amazing music, and perfect summer weather--what more could you ask for? We went to the Jockey Club to see The Speakeasies, our favorite local band, performing in the Pavilion, and they didn't disappoint. Most of the venue, including the bar, was under a tent with an open-air section on one side. Lighting and acoustics were excellent. Our server, Karen, was friendly and it happened to be her birthday--everyone joined in singing "Happy Birthday" with the band. Service was slow due to a busy kitchen and limited staff (only three servers), so food took a while. The salads were fresh and well-balanced, and the Greek salad wasn't overwhelmed with cheese. The flatbreads had nice crispy edges. Although the fish sandwich arrived late, Karen resolved it quickly, and it was worth the wait--flaky fish, a crispy exterior, and a delicious brioche bun. Overall, I'd rate the experience 3.5 stars, but bumped it to 4 because we had such a fun night. read more

If you're gonna read a review read this one! Me and my husband decided to go to dinner our usually spot ( The Jocky club , When the unimaginable happened. Coworkers fighting. Can you imagine trying to have a peaceful dinner and the workers at the restaurant can't behave themselves? One waitress verbally attacked the young hostess, I was uncomfortable, scared and losing my appetite. That kind of behavior/actions do not belong in a work place. Luckily, you need not be a midget to experience The Jockey Club. All shapes and sizes are invited to enjoy this surprisingly wonderful club. Admittedly, I went here on a whim and expected the usual pub-grub of ghetto-grade chicken fingers and base-quality everything else. However, I experienced quite the contrary, bro. This joint is a bit raggedy on the exterior with its sign reading, "GOOD FOOD GOO... (long space)... D COMPANY" (see PIC) but the inside is a woody-warm and wicked-charming atmosphere enhanced with KENO and scratch tix machines and TVs brightening up this otherwise old-fashioned decor. It's a spacious joint with various chill areas as opposed to just one big-ass homogenous space. We sat at the bar and began chin-wagging when Shannon approached us reasonably quickly to take our bev orders in a wicked friendly manner. The menu is way more extensive than the outdated online menu. The Club featured wonderful Specials and phun libations including seasonal ones. Le menu is pretty big, bro. They have 'Zas of many types including a Big Mac 'Za and many pub-grub favs and Sammies and Salads and Seafood things and tons more, bro. My One got the Komfy Bowl which was Mashed with Chicken Strips and Korn and White Gravy -very comforting and yumski was this dish. I had the Steak and Bird which came with FRESH Green Beans and Fries. It was scrump AF and piping hot and freshly made. It was a steal at 25 bucks and was the priciest item on the whole menu. Nancy had the Asian Chicken Fingers which were like 14 bucks and it was mega, i.e., a HUGE portion of pissah fingers that would satisfy Shaq. I forget what neighbor Jean had but it was also wicked good. Our waitress, Shannon, was multitasking it very much big time while maintaining a cheerful if not jovial disposition (see PIC). She added to the pleasant vibe here by doing a wicked Cracker Jack job and was a true whirling dervish. We hung in this joint for quite some time and had a wicked pissah time. Bonus feature: This club has a substantial arcade grafted onto it so hit up some PacMan or Millipede or Q-Bert. My conclusion is that this club makes good food and delivers excellent quality because they take pride in this, and they know that it pleases their many loyal club members as well as any unsuspecting passersby. Peep out The Jockey Club. It's mental and it's wicked affordable and they don't cheap out on quality none neither. This club is the zenith of pub grub in my opinion. And as always, jockeys are welcome as well as regular folk. CAVEAT: We came here at noon on a Saturday, and it was near empty, but it fills up wicked quickly. Come early, YELPERS. read more

The food was impeccable ' the potato skins fully cooked and full of scrumptious bacon ! The Sheppard pie was very tasty !! The quesadillas were delicious ! My drink no post was not my favorite expresso martini with out baileys ! Sadly ! Out waitress was not only adorable and kind she also showed us the band menu , Nina was her name well ask for her every time we visit ! such a bad restaurant. we have tried, over and over because it's attached to the bowling alley and our kids love it, but dang this restaurant is the worst. bad food, TERRIBLE service, how are they still open?? We used to love going to the jockey club and have Nina as our waitress. As of late, she has not been working, so we have not been there as often. She is the best waitress there, always ensuring our table has what we need, and doing it all with a smile on her face. The jockey club is so lucky to have Nina as an employee. read more

We were in the area for a softball tourney and stumbled upon this place because it was super close to our hotel (Hampton Inn- Taunton). Immediately upon entering it had a good vibe. The hostess was cheerful and when I said "just the 3 of us" she joked if I'd for her to join us at our table to round out the 4 person seating. The waitress was equally upbeat and friendly. There just happened to be a female singer performing and we all loved her voice! Knowing all the covers she did, we sang and danced along (from our table). Along with yummy pub food (great kids menu choices) and a delicious margarita, we were given an unexpected fun family night out after a tiring drive from Maine to Mass, following a full day of work and school. We went to the Jockey club last night for dinner. We have been during the summer and had apps outside but never dined inside. It was a Saturday night and they were moderately busy. We ordered steak & cheese egg rolls and Asian baked chicken wings! They were both excellent and the chicken wings were crispy and flavorful. We then got the French dip and the steak tips. The French dip was probably the best I have ever had and the tips were so tender and flavorful! The bartender Cori was super sweet and checked on us often! There was a function going on upstairs so our meal(two sandwiches) took waaaay longer than it should have. Long enough for the waiter to apologize to us saying "Sorry it should be out soon they were doing the function food first", I am writing this while I am still waiting (more than a half an hour) for our food. read more

Steak tips was small portion for $23, asked for medium received well done. Garlic mashed potatoes- good flavor, creamy and buttery. Onion rings- $2 upcharge but good! Flavor was excellent, would not order again based on portion/price. Goat cheese and balsamic flat bread $15- excellent would order again! I was asked to come back here to give it another chance and so I did. The food was awesome honestly, and everyone I was with enjoyed their meals. Service is still lacking, slow, and you need to literally yell across the bar to get their attention, especially if you're not a regular. I do believe this place is short staffed, but so aren't most places and unlike a lot of places this place is just dark, dingy and not very clean. Yes... I'm a little of a clean freak so I understand that I can be over the top, but no reason why the counters were sticky this day as they were when I came here months ago. read more

I ordered the Mediterranean Greek salad and this is what I got. I paid $18 for this . Where is the iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and banana peppers?! I also ordered the roasted chicken wings and they weren't that good. The only thing I liked was the fries. Overall, I don't recommend their food. read more

UPDATE 8/22/2024 we have eaten here several times now. I have had the fish and chips several times now. We went again last night because I was craving the fish and chips. I was very disappointed. The portions of fish seemed smaller, shaped like squares and was overcooked and dry. The time before this time the fish was overcooked and dry as well but it was the first time so I chalked it up to the chef having an off day. But I guess the light and flakey batter and moist fish is gone. However we had a few of their other dishes and they were very good. As always the service is great and the atmosphere pleasant. We'll still be going back but I am on the hunt once again for great fish and chips. read more

Us to the Hampton Inn shuttle driver after the wedding reception: It's only 1000pm, where in Raynham can we find a club/bar? Driver: The Jockey Club down the street from the hotel, I'll drop you off (of course he'll drop us off, we gave him a nice trip since he dropped us off and picked us up from the wedding reception). Us: SOLD! Let's go change and go to the Jockey Club. The Jockey Club? Come on really, "Jockey Club"? Where did you get that name? Granted we were already tipsy from the open bar at the wedding, the night was still young. The Jockey Club was a big outdoor tent with a live band, lots of locals (I think I was the ONLY Asian in there), and loud music. There was an AC/DC cover band called Dirty Deeds playing ($10 cover was a bit steep I thought). The beers weren't overly expensive and Dirty Deeds rocked the tent! Damn they sounded like the real deal. Locals? Lots of Harley Riders, lots of young, lots of old. Good times. Unfortunately they closed shop around 1245am and kicked everyone out with real Taunton or Raynham policeman and not hired private bouncers. I guess the Jockey Club is the go to place on a Saturday night in Raynham! :) OH YEAH...SHORTS and SLIPPERS are OK! I still threw on jeans! read more

Great place to come for a few drinks and dinner. Food is very good, especially the chicken broccoli and ziti...is my go to meal. $12 will get you an entree that comes with a salad and warm rolls. Ugh..... Large bar, lots of locals, ONE slllllooowwww bartender and some other person that ran the glass washing machine while ignoring customers, horrible service and over priced beer. The one star? They had Keno, but cleverly placed the screens in places that were hard to see. Of course it took 15 minutes to have someone play your numbers, so I guess they really don't have Keno. Had to share the great experience I had at the Jockey Club last night. We stopped by and sat at the bar to grab dinner. Both bar servers were attentive and excellent! Great cosmos! I had the chicken fingers (because sometimes I eat like a toddler lol), they came with 2 sides, I chose fries and onion rings. OMG, the BEST onion rings I have EVER had. Chicken fingers were crunchy and fresh (not frozen). Enough for 2 meals, just finished them for lunch. Hubby got a burger and loved that too. Was there last night with 10 friends for some drinks and food. The waitress gave us a stack of plates for some pizza's we ordered. Almost every plate had food caked on it and we asked the waitress for some different plates. When the waitress brought us new plates she said "must have been the potatoes" referring to the dirty plates. When the pizza arrived (on a dinner plate) nobody wanted any part of it due to the plates being dirty, thinking, if the plates are dirty, whats the kitchen like. Those that did try a slice said it was the worst pizza they ever had. We ordered three pizzas and maybe four slices were eaten. The drinks were terrible, warm Captain and Coke served in a beer draft glass. I had another Captain and Coke, served in a totally different style tall glass and warm, had to use what little leftover ice was left from the first glass and pour it in the second glass to try and make it cold, as well as use the same straw because the second drink did not come with one. The bathroom was filthy (the one by the arcade games) dirty paper towels all over the sink and trash can. Definitely won't be going back. DC read more

I hosted a bridal shower here in the event room and had an amazing day. Kristen was so awesome. She worked with our party to have vegan dishes available. The Bride to be love how the room looked. Kristen let me come in the night before to do the set up needed. The food was delicious and for the price was completely reasonable compared to the other event venues in the area. This was my first time at the Jockey Club and to be honest I walked in with low expectations but I figured it has been around for a long time so it must be doing something right. First impression was it was a bit outdated and dark. We were seated right away and the host was also the waiter so he took out drink order right as we sat. We started looking at the menu and that is when we really noticed how dark it was at our booth, I almost took out my cell phone and used the flash light app to read the menu. We decided to start out with the Lobster Rangoon's 5 for 5.95 not a bad deal and they were tasty. I ordered the steak tips (16oz) house marinade for $15.95 that included dinner rolls and a salad plus potato and vegetable. My wife ordered the Chicken Broccoli and Ziti 10.95 with salad and rolls and my daughter got a kids cheeseburger. The food came out and it was perfect the tips where cooked to medium as requested and were tender and tasty. The Broccoli chicken and Ziti was wonderful (I tried it and it was probably one of the best I have tried) and the kids cheese burger was cooked perfect and big, not a small burger Now for my only complaint besides the lighting. They do not offer free refills on soda and they are not big glasses plus it is top to bottom ice. If I was told that or it was posted in the menu I wouldn't have minded but when the bill came and I was charged $23 for soda (more then steak tips and a kid's burger mind you) I was a little shocked. Other then the Soda issue it was a great meal and I will be back and will recommend it to everyone. 4 stars out of 5 (lost one star over the soda) I just can't let it go hahaha read more

This place was pretty cool, I dinged it a star for the weird nachos, but liked the place overall. Nice ambiance, locals coming in for poker night, friendly bartender, clean and on a Sunday afternoon, not too loud. The nacho plate got a thumbs down because they used an Italian seasoned meat sauce on them. It would be more authentic if they used a pinto or black bean base and added taco seasoned ground beef or chicken. We did see some East Coast foods being served that looked amazing and will be back to try those! read more
