Brigitte was a very nice member of the business back then, and either Al or Keith was usually on hand to chat about the wines and other things in a friendly manner. My favorite wine was their version of Viognier & M's favorite is the Symphony. (Neither one of us is big drinker.) Last year, they moved to new location on Pickett Street. It feels smaller and more cramped than their previous space but it is decorated nicely and has a small dedicated parking lot. It is also in a very industrial area, and a bit out of the way. For me, it's not super conducive to hanging out. I can understand the reasons for moving, but it definitely impacted the ambiance, imo. Today, we picked up a bottle of Symphony from Al to take home. There were a few patrons inside enjoying their wine on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Gianni Buonomo is a special and unexpected winery that is definitely worth experiencing. Their wines have won multiple awards and Keith & Al are super knowledgeable and amicable.

On a Thursday afternoon, there were a couple of other winery members picking up and tasting wines when we got there. We did a red wine flight and tried a varietal we have never had before (Lagrein) of two different years. They source the grapes from Washington State and California (Sierra foothills and Amador county). All of the wines we've had was very enjoyable. You can taste the care and thoughtfulness that goes into their wine making process. Very chill atmosphere and conducive to an enjoyable taste experience. There's a nice parking area for tasters right in front of the wine shop.

I went with the flight, which included six different meads. Honestly, every single one was phenomenal. My favorites were the Lava Flow and Strike the Sun, but all of the selections were flavorful, unique, and well-crafted. The employee helping me was incredibly kind and provided excellent recommendations. The service was friendly, welcoming, and added to the overall experience. If you're a mead fan, or even if you're new to it, this is a fantastic place to visit. The quality of the mead is outstanding, the atmosphere is great. I'll definitely be back.

The outdoor space is amazing, but it was also nice to be inside. The flight was the way to go! Our fav was the strawberry one. We also got a glass of the spicy limoncello (forgot the exact name). If you like limoncello and you like spice, then you'll like. For me, I am not a huge fan of limoncello, so it wasn't a good starting spot for me. We did buy some bottle and can to go. Bottles last like wine and are bottled to age, so no problem not opening immediately (per the bartender), meanwhile the can should be drank quicker.

There were 7 of us on the trip, and everyone had a fantastic time in no small part due to the effort that Joaquin, Marleny, and our drivers (Abel, Edgar, and Carlos) put into making our experience very special. Working with Joaquin to plan the trip was seamless and straightforward. He provided extremely useful information, and when our trip approached he and Marleny finalized the itinerary and provided us with concise yet very important information on how to cross the border and meet our driver. I had never crossed the border on foot, but it was pretty seamless. It's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the border to Ensenada, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that drive on my own, so having Baja Winery Tours provide transportation was essential and eliminated the stress of getting around. Baja Winery Tours set up all the reservations at wineries and restaurants in Valle de Guadalupe. The wineries we visited were on point, and the food was absolutely spectacular. I was glad that we were able to have everything arranged, and be high quality, without having to do a ton of research. On our last full day, our dinner ran a little long and then we hit a bit of traffic getting back to the hotel. Our driver handled these issues with grace and full understanding. I would highly recommend having Baja Winery Tours provide all the logistics and travel if you're planning on visiting the area. Everyone there worked really hard to make sure we have a blast, and I look forward to coming back soon.

The pricing was super reasonable for the amount of travel time and top-tier service we received, and we felt completely safe the entire time in Baja. The wineries were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the whole day was seamless thanks to our driver Daniel -- if you book, definitely request him! I 1000% recommend Baja Winery Tours we're already planning our next one!

This visit we stuck to the Happy Hour menu for food, but the main menu looked so tasty! The margarita very strong and had too much ice, but the wine was tasty! The chips, salsa and guacamole were wonderful and the guacamole was a hearty portion - well worth the cost. The ceviche was just okay, it was packed with what should have been delicious ingredients and in the end it was pretty tasteless. The service was A+ and the view, well there are no words.

I loved the cauliflower app. It was well seasoned, and had a good crunch to it. Calamari was good as well. But I highly recommend cauliflower app over calamari. For main course, I got the tempura Mahi Tacos. They were very filling and had a very subtle spicy kick in the tacos. Overall, the food was good for upscale Mexican-esque food. Service was excellent as well. Our waters never ran empty and after apps, they gave us new napkins to set our forks and knives down while they took our small plates away. They even offered to give us a new set of forks and knives. I think it is small details like this that make a difference. The most prominent detail I really liked about this location was the ocean view. We made a reservation for outdoor seating, and had an amazing view of the ocean and sunset. Parking was a little difficult. There's only one row for free self parking, but it is very limited. They offer $10 valet which I had to do because I could not find any parking. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. Because this restaurant is a more high-end / upscale restaurant, I would recommend this location more for a special occasion or date night rather than a casual place to eat.
